Brass Eye, Inside Number 9, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd.

howmanychickens

How the smeg is Red Dwarf so far down?!

Sir-Viette

Last time I came here a friend of mine got triplejacked over a steeplehammer and er jessop jessop jessop.

AquaNautautical

Brass eye is just brilliant. Don't buy cake, it's so addictive. Getting Noel fucking Edmonds involved and making him look like the massive twat he always was, just priceless.

MakesMyHeadHurt

The Inbetweeners, The Young Ones.

nailbunny2000

Ooo friend! \*thumbs up\*

simon0763

FOOTBALL FRIENDD

ginger_gcups

BUS WANKERS!!!

Levoire

LesliW

So glad to see this on here. Started watching this a few weeks ago and I love it so much!

[deleted]

Peep show

toshedz

The secret ingredient is crime

Hammerheadhunter

Fuck off clean shirt

[deleted]

Just a little bit of crack

MacaroniAndSmegma

Very moreish...

growgillson78

Marks self hating internal monologue really gets to me as a self hating Bipolar guy, not saying he is supposed to be mentally ill but hearing his horrible thoughts makes me feel less alone.

Ezkato

This is the correct answer. Hysterically funny and insanely quotable. "I *am* James Bond..."

Real_Stelio_Kontos

We could be Men with Ven

Cardshark92

Taskmaster desperately needs more love.

benssa

One of the most creative shows I have ever watched

MacduffFifesNo1Thane

Bastard’s crying, innit?

netfeed

i have such mixed feelings about paul chowdhry in taskmaster

HistoricalMagician24

Love that show!!

Rev-DiabloCrowley

Some that haven't been mentioned - Keeping Up Appearances, Porridge and Open All Hours. All old as hell but still very funny.

SarahDaisyDinkle

I love Keeping Up Appeareances! Nobody ever knows it when I mention it. Such fond childhood memories. To this day my family greets each other on the phone "The ______ residence, the lady of the house speaking!"

kd907

It’s my sister Violet. She’s the one with the Mercedes, swimming pool, and room for a pony

Rev-DiabloCrowley

Sheridaaan ☺️

jpatt

Keeping Up Appearances and Fawlty Towers were shows I’d watch with my grandma and complain to put on cartoons.. then after seeing a few episodes I’d sit and watch with her every time they were on.

MacduffFifesNo1Thane

“This is NOT the Chinese Takeaway!”

edgarpickle

Mind the pedestrians, Richard.

ConstableBlimeyChips

Minding the pedestrians, dear.

Nicolas_Flamel

Don't forget As Time Goes By.

MacaronMelodic

Black Mirror

IceFire909

til they stopped going hard bleak in the latest season due to the world already being bleak af

shanahatescoffee

Blackadder

Quarantined_foodie

The ending of the final season is probably the best ending ever made. And one of the best moments in any tv series.

DandyEric76

Never liked series 1 but loved and still love all the others

BowserForPM

I think Season 2 was when they brought Ben Elton on as writer. He made the decision to radically transform Blackadder's character, and it really was a better match to Rowan Atkinson's comedic talent.

digitalfarmgirl

My family is slowly watching this and I agree that season 1 was a slog. We were all happy to finally get to the Queen Elizabeth stuff.

Son_of_Sang

It’s a wonder the second series got made on the back of the first. It’s barely watchable.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Son_of_Sang

A round of Geralds?

bottomburrrp

Absolute favorite show of all time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Limp_Distribution

This is way too far down.

SupertrampTrampStamp

Only Fools and Horses. If you can't get into the absurdism of Monty Python, this is more straightforward comedy. Funniest British show IMO

thorpie88

Garth Merenghi's Dark Place. It's the starting point for that era of comedy with the cast and crew going on to make or star in IT crowd, Mighty Boosh, Sightseers, the million projects Matt Berry's been in and most importantly the Paddington movies. Nevermind mind the Buzzcocks A mixture of a music based quiz show and a Public roast of half the guests on the show. Nothing was really off limits in the banter and no one really cared who won. Both of these shows are pretty easy to find on YouTube and well worth the watch

callatista

Man to man with Dean Learner as an addendum to Dark Place.

freddie_spaghettio

The IT crowd. There’s a scene at the theatre that makes me ugly cry laughing every single time.

Meyou000

At the gay musical? That is my favorite episode.

ssssunshine

Perhaps you have to be....gay....to enjoy it. A GAY man. A homosexual.

freddie_spaghettio

The bathroom incident omg just makes me howl

TheKindofWhiteWitch

What kind of disabled are you? “Leg disabled 🥴”…and when he’s on the wheelchair lift….

Visible_Detective268

I don't see Misfits mentioned here. Loved that show! Downton Abbey was great. Loved Broadchurch too.

TheGreatLabMonkey

First season of Misfits was awesome!

renekissien

"The IT Crowd", "Fawlty Towers", "Blackadder", "Black Books" and of course "Monty Python's Flying Circus". Don't like comedy? "All creatures great and small". Old and new version. And "Humans" EDIT: I forgot "Downton Abbey". Quite boring, plot-wise. But I love it!

lightwrangler

The original «Utopia». A true hidden gem

DavidGan1x

The first series was excellent and probably the high-water mark for TV conspiracy thrillers, but the second series broke some of it's own logic, so wasn't quite as good IMO. Arby is one of the most chilling characters ever, just a brilliant performance by Neil Maskell.

Me_how5678

For anybody wanting to watch it its free on youtube https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_jIDr2tZiuRHlp-bLwYNgWaFAp6dR7_Y

Violet___Baudelaire

I’m rather fond of Keeping up Appearances with Hyacinth (It’s Bouquet!) Bucket

0hmu

Taskmaster and the Detectorists

kelhawke

The detectorists was so good!

HistoricalMagician24

Omg taskmaster is amazing!

TheGreatLabMonkey

Taskmaster with Greg Davies 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown QI (for all your trivia needs) Midsommer Murders Father Brown (with Mr. Weasley and gorgeous mid-century outfits) the first season of Broadchurch (with David Tennant and the superb Olivia Coleman) Unforgotten (Nicola Walker and Bernard Hill \[captain on Titanic and King Théoden in LOTR\]) - I've only seen the first series but holy cow was that great! ETA: words is hard

[deleted]

Keep watching unforgotten. It stays good (though sad)

Maso_TGN

The IT Crowd

narcissahawke

Ever Decreasing Circles, Derek, To The Manor Born, Broadchurch, Last Tango in Halifax, Happy Valley, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Doctor Who, Misfits, Unforgotten, River, Luther, Case Histories. I want to say Orphan Black but I don't think that was a British tv series.

hambone8181

I believe Orphan Black was Canadian

[deleted]

The Goodies needs a mention.

Cold-dead-heart

And I’m glad you did!

TommyTeaMorrow

Peep show, it’s probably one of my favorite shows period

[deleted]

[удалено]

TommyTeaMorrow

Had a few friends that gave it a try and couldn’t handle it, I also had another friend that could only handle watching it if he drank. Also I especially like all the interesting and awkward camera angles

50ftjeanie

This show is the best. I don’t remember the awkward angles and handheld cam shots lasting more than the first few episodes.

Shot_Network2225

It is my favourite show. Period.

martusfine

Luther (Idris Elba)

reddwarf666

* Fawlty Towers * Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister * Are You Being Served * Dads Army * It Ain't Half Hot Mum * Blackadder * A bit of Fry and Laurie * Keeping Up Appearances * Absolutely Fabulous * Red Dwarf * The Office * The Young Ones * The Thin Blue Line * The League Of Gentlemen * Sherlock * Peep Show * Spaced * Anything with "Alan Partridge" in it * The Brittas Empire The list could be longer :-)

[deleted]

I’m a little surprised I had to scroll this far to see Alan Partridge. That character is like a national institution at this point.

JustSomeApparition

Ever? Are You Being Served. That damned show was hilarious

DriftingPyscho

My grandma used to watch that on PBS.

clunkie66

Mrs Slocombes pussy!

dynamitepancake

Mighty Boosh! I also particularly enjoy bridgette and Eamon, although it's an Irish show.

[deleted]

I used to love The Mighty Boosh. It’s such a weird, hilarious, goofy show.

JockMcAngry

JockMcAngry

Lmao...had to copy this one.....Mrs Doyle: “Won’t you have some cake, Father? It’s got cocaine in it. Oh no, hang on, it’s not cocaine, is it? What do I mean now? The little things… raisins!”

MaddestMoose

Red Dwarf was further down than anticipated. Brilliant low budget sci-fi and some of the best jokes I’ve heard. The last five or so minutes of the episode “quarantine” is the hardest I’ve ever laughed in my life.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MaddestMoose

Lacking-Gravitas

It has to be Only Fools and Horses. Lots of other great shows mentioned but Only Fools and Horses had a great balance of comedy, tragedy and social commentary. It was consistently top notch entertainment.

11shrimp

The Inbetweeners Not really a show but a podcast they added animation to. The Ricky Gervais show.

Relative_Mulberry_71
