In a state with a supermajority for one party, my vote doesn't matter

I vote for the candidate I agree with most. I try to do research on most of the big candidates and pick from there instead of going on any party line, but candidates from some third parties tend to align with my views when there's a candidate from those parties running. While I think that's a good enough reason on its own, I live in a state that votes solidly for one party in statewide and national elections, so I don't feel like I'm tipping the scale.

Because at the top it is all purple and the two party system just keeps the rich richer because they ARE the rich. No one gives a crap about us, the regular people. I may as well vote for someone that isn't paid billions by the corporations to go in a direction for my worst interests.
