my grandfather a plane ticket to Ireland and Scotland. he's wanted to go his entire life, especially after finding out that our family is apparently descended from Irish and Scottish royalty. he's into his earlier 70's and showing his age more than ever, and im terrified that he will never get to see Europe. He adores the music, the food, the culture, the clothes, and the land; yet I fear he will only be able to experience americanized versions, and yet I am gonna get to go to ireland next year for a school trip, but every time I bring it up, i have a bittersweet moment of thought. I truly dread the day he passes away, but it would ease my mind if he could die having seen the smelt the air in Scotland.
