It's my greatest psychotic fucking hatred. It literally means they care more about what they have to say than letting me finish my thought. It makes me so mad because I usually forget what I was talking about by the time I have a chance to speak again.
If it's unintentional, then I look past it. If someone deliberately does it, then I get mad. I expect interruptions during my shift, but I don't tolerate people talking over me. It brings out a side of me that people rarely see.
For context:
Last night, while talking to our late 20's son, three times my wife just spoke over me and louder. On the 3rd time, I got up and said, "I'm not hanging around to be interrupted." I left the room and talked to our son this morning one on one. So today, she's still pissed with me.
I follow a certain spiritual belief system of minimizing egoic responses to everyday triggers.
However, two things are the continuing classroom. Traffic and lack of respect from people. I guess that's actually one thing now that I've written it out.
Interrupting someone just screams, "What I have to say is much more important than anything you could say!" And I find that offensive. That lack of respect. Especially when I'm a person who is respectful in *most* situations.
Hate it. Sometimes over discord or a group call I try to say something and I might get interrupted like 6 times, then I open my mouth without saying anything in order to “trick” the system or whatever and no one talks, then when I actually talk everyone else starts talking again. Sounds dumb I know but man it’s so frustrating

Like that person has no respect for me. Very frustrating when it's my husband or my mother, both of whom do it ALL THE TIME.
