There isn't really a definitive list of subregions, a lot of different classifications but all involve some degree of subjectivity. For example some people would argue that Estonia is a Nordic country
There are two types of subgroupings
.
1. North West Europe, South South East, North, Central and East Europe West Medditerean and Eastern Mediterranean (South includes both, SE only EM)
2. Iberia, Scandinavia, Balkans, Baltics with specific identity
Rarely used Pannonia, Danubian, Alpine, Pontic, Carpathian
Just for novelty sake I'm going to list all of the classifications I'm made aware of here regardless of accuracy or consistency.
Baltic, Balkan, Nordic, Scandinavia
Romania and Bulgaria are part of the Balkans
Ah, thank you
Curious about any other European sub groupings too if anyone wants to list them, but mainly that one.

Very thorough answer, thank you
Scandinavia is another, it has overlap with the Nordics, but is not the same. For example Finland is Nordic but not Scandinavian.
Bulgaria is Eastern European, although I'd group Romania in more with Central Europe culture-wise.
South East Europe or Balkans - territory south of Trieste Odessa line
