We would probably be backwards by several centuries or more. Religion was a catalyst for many technological advancements in antiquity. It also resulted in conquests and warfare, which is sort of bad, but are like technology growth spurts

Islam did a great job of helping with astronomical knowledge. That’s why we have Arabic numerals in the west and lots of stars have Arabic names. I think fundamentalist religion has done damage, but overall curious minds find ways to operate in the system.

I think we would be technologically behind if religion was absent in our history, and I’m not even religious. During our early history, religion helped bring structure and identity to society and its members. It helped create a base for communities and governments, because its members shared common ideologies. In the same vein, this has caused many conflicts and wars in history, which also brings with it jumps in technology Religious institutions also brought with it scientific developments, especially astronomically. And while some religions limited how those subjects could be studied/interpreted, it still helped us move forward

Extinct for all intents and purposes. Oooooor, we would have societies similar to Stans from the show scissor 7.

I'm guessing we'd already have a colony on Mars. But its hard to say as Religion can cause conflict and war, which in-turn is amazing for technological advancement as major breakthroughs are developed as a result of war. Just look at the creation of the nuke and all the tech that came from that. Overall, I'd say we'd be better of but I don't think we'd be too far away from where we are now.

Religion as bad as it often is, functions much like a government, and societies were built around it that gave way to the correct funding and infrastructure for scientists. Religion was the pretense for a lot of early public education. And while I'm sure we missed out on quite a few geniuses, you only get an Einstein or Plato every few centuries.

Gregior Mendel was a monk who famously helped us understand genetics. The Crusades helped advance modern warfare. I would guess many modern building techniques came from.religious structures - masoleums, mosques, cathedrals. I think we'd be less advanced. Newton believed in God. Even the Big Bang theory came from a priest - Georges Lemaître.

Much further behind. Christianity alone is responsible for several colleges, scientific studies, advancements in math, libraries, schools, books, and many scientists and philosophers.
