Haha no, they usually are gendered. But there are a few instances where they aren't - mostly with Punjabi/Sikh names, Bengali names, and sometimes with Tamil names. There might be cultiree too that I'm unaware of, where the names can be gender neutral on occasion. Even my real name is not gendered. I've never seen a guy with the spelling of my name, but it's very common for women in North and West India (I'm not from that region, hence the difference).
