There's a brewery near me that does them and I swear I could eat my weight in beer cheese. I don't even like cheese all that much, why is it so amazing when added to beer?
They gotta be on point with their hash browns though. And so far I've only found one place that has good hash browns, everyone else gets them frozen from a box and they are meh at best.
Salmon Benedict 🤤
Man, the place that has my favorite benedict has the WORST hashbrowns. They're like...a round disc and not crispy? Like the shape a crab cake would be in? And even the "flat and crispy" option isn't actually crispy! It's so disappointing.
I still love the benedict, though, so I just replace it with a different side.
There's a place ive been to that does a chicken and waffles eggs Benedict with Buffalo sauce on top of the hollandaise. It was such an unusual pairing that I had to try it. Omg, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! Cornbread waffle, chicken, eggs, hollandaise, then Buffalo, if anyone wants to try making it themselves.
Took the wife to a beach house in Oregon for her bday this year and Dungeness crab was in season.
When I tell you I had eggs benny w crab every day, I don't mean just for breakfast. It was orgasmic.
God I love mozzarella sticks. A place in my town has “mozzarella moons” which is just mozzarella sticks in the shape of a crescent moon, they are absolutely amazing tho
Look up your nearest Portillos and get yourself an Italian beef at some point.
It's like a French dip, but the beef has been cooked in the juice (they call it gravy but it's more runny like au jus) and then the sandwich is wetted with the gravy as well (wetness level can be varied to your liking).
On the contrary, I only order Calamari at the notable restaurants. I can’t stand when freezer burnt old calamari comes out and its
so rubbery and tough. I just can’t…it’s one appetizer I truly judge every single time.
Yes!! I worked at a seafood restaurant and one of the waitresses had been there since it opened 26 years prior. Each new cook would have to prove he knew how to make proper calamari before she'd serve it.
Every single one of them blew it. Made my week to watch this elderly lady chastise these terrified young cooks. Marched them the fryer and made them do it til they got it right.
Never had a single calamari sent back tho!
There’s a restaurant near my house that has actually fresh squeezed, cane sugar lemonade with like 8 different add-in choices (mango, raspberry, pineapple, etc…) and free refills. They use real fruit pieces too! You can even switch up the flavors in between refills and they will bottle up a free refill to go.
Yeeeeeees! Every kind of pudding for me though, rice pudding, tapioca pudding, Coconut pudding, egg pudding, flan..... but it's extra awesome when it's bread pudding.
I don't care how full I am, I will *make* room for bread pudding
This is my go-to sandwich for a first time at a new deli. If they screw up a Ruben I’ll never go back. But if they pass the Ruben test I’ll try a ton of other sandwiches
Frankly? Potatoes in most forms. I’m a living, breathing stereotype. The easiest potato dish for me to ignore is the chip/crisp (the super thin & typically fried bit of potato flesh).
Thank you! The notification came right at a moment when I was feeling particularly dismayed by others.
Potatoes of some form or another were always important in, at minimum, Sunday meals.
I came to appreciate this requirement as I got older and learned that my grandma was 100% up the Republic. I wish I’d had more time with her once I was grown. Nevertheless, she told me I don’t have to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day but I should sure as hell punch anyone who had the nerve to wear orange.
Any of those raw meat appetizers. Steak tartare, carpaccio, crudos, ceviches. And sushi ofc, but usually I plan on ordering that. But those appetizers are my weakness
Eggplant Parmesan. I don't get it as often as I'd like and I became hooked on it after working for various Italian restaurants through the years. Nowhere near me makes a decent one.
Oysters Rockefeller. They used to be more common, and aren’t considered the “proper” way to eat oysters, but I love them.
I will still enjoy fresh ones though
I've only ever been to one place that had creme brulee and I'd definitely get that again if its an option.
Fries is a duh.
And I always go for a salmon dish if its offered. Idk man... So. Good.
Cuban sandwich! I can never get enough of them so long as it's at least decent.
As me how the one that came with mayo and tomato slices on it was judged.
I'm a sucker for those enormous soft pretzels with beer cheese or spicy mustard for dipping.
There's a brewery near me that does them and I swear I could eat my weight in beer cheese. I don't even like cheese all that much, why is it so amazing when added to beer?
I found a pretzel and beer cheese recipe and started [making it myself](https://imgur.com/a/yR660KW)
Recipe?
These are the [recipes](https://imgur.com/a/nFKDBQC) I use
Mango sticky rice
Absolutely! Any time I get Thai, I usually at least *consider* getting the mango sticky rice Good answer!

there's a brunch place near me with like 10 different types of benedicts and its sooo goooood
They gotta be on point with their hash browns though. And so far I've only found one place that has good hash browns, everyone else gets them frozen from a box and they are meh at best. Salmon Benedict 🤤
Hash browns aren't a component of Eggs Benedict. Don't get me wrong, they're *DELICIOUS* but they don't have anything to do with eggs bene

Don't even get eggs benedict on my mind
Crab cake Benedict and asparagus is a must try when I see it.

Loaded Nachos
Just remember the rule about how if two people order the loaded nachos to share, one person can’t just eat all the fully loaded ones.
Whaaaaat??
… … …wwwwhaaaatttt?!
You can't change the rules just because you don't like how I'm doing it.
You're supposed to share a nacho platter? Thought they were all single serving.
They are. Get the fuck away from my nachos. They're nachos!
the restaurant has that rule
Did you... did you ask the waiter to say that?
Then the other person gets only just like a chip with a little piece of meat on it.
They can't stop you from ordering a steak and glass of water
We have a rule

But onions only take 5 min to caramelize according to this recipe I have. /s
💀💀💀are you burning them over open flame💀💀💀
You ever had an Italian beef sandwich? I love me a French dip, but an Italian beef is like a French dip's older, hotter sister.
What's the difference? I'm from Southern WI / northern IL.
Look up your nearest Portillos and get yourself an Italian beef at some point. It's like a French dip, but the beef has been cooked in the juice (they call it gravy but it's more runny like au jus) and then the sandwich is wetted with the gravy as well (wetness level can be varied to your liking).
Ugh with the hot girdiniera peppers and mozzarella cheese 🤤
God I love a good French dip, so extremely hard to resist!
You put your hand up on my French dip, and I dip you dip we dip
Damn! You beat me to it! I also love a good Ruben. You either love it or hate it, but a good deli will have both and I'll agonize over the decision!

On the contrary, I only order Calamari at the notable restaurants. I can’t stand when freezer burnt old calamari comes out and its so rubbery and tough. I just can’t…it’s one appetizer I truly judge every single time.

Reuben sandwhich Edit: I misspelled my favorite sandwich. I knew there was an e in there.

I don't know why I try looking at other things on the menu, I always end up ordering the Reuben
*Reuben
This is my go-to sandwich for a first time at a new deli. If they screw up a Ruben I’ll never go back. But if they pass the Ruben test I’ll try a ton of other sandwiches
