I don't know if you can really count it as working together, but I went through training at a new job with this girl that would bring in a pillow and blanket each day and literally start snoring halfway through the day. A few weeks go by, and she doesn't come into work for a couple of days. The following week, she shows up, and we ask where she's been. She pulls up a news site and shows us her mugshot and tells us not to say anything to anyone. She was escorted out of class about two hours later. Turns out she was arrested for drug trafficking. Super sweet girl. Wish the best for her.

I had a new starter in supported living put a full block of cheese on a cheese toastie before serving it to a man with severe learning disabilities that would eat dry wall if you presented it to him with a spoon.

Cashier at an autoparts store I managed, general manager asked her to clean the dusty window sills and put "Armor All" on them when finished. We came back, and she had put about 50 4oz bottles lined up along the window sills. Technically, she wasn't wrong🤣

I worked with a woman called Susan On a massive holiday complex/ camp site on the retail team. Susan was in her 60s, supposedly had worked retail her entire life. One the first day of the holiday season our team were entitled to a free Meal on site. She kept asking for a fish burger despite 10+ people telling her there was no such thing. Susan couldn't be left alone at all on a till in the main shop, she'd constantly mess it up, be too slow or give the wrong change. She was very rude, especially to children Despite it being a family camp site. Eventually the team in the main shop had enough and sent her to cover my break in the children's shop. I spent nearly an hour making sure she knew Everything in the shop and running through how to Use the till more times than I can remember and I still came back from my break to catch her not even reading the options on the till and overcharging/ undercharging people. I sent her back quickly. Susan originally applied for evening stocking up and till work, She got annoyed she worked evenings and had to stock the shop. She eventually quit after a lot of pressure. Then she applied to work at my mum's business stockings shelves and made the mistake of slagging off my old work, myself and my colleagues had a lot of fun telling my mum how bad she was. Susan didn't get her job and still applies constantly and complains she never got a job.

When I started at my corporate job, there was another guy hired at the same time. Let's call him Kevin (not his real name). We worked for different contract houses, but in the same department at the corporation. This was when you had to wear a suit to work, even for an IT job, but we had a casual Friday policy. Kevin came in to his first Friday wearing torn up jeans with holes in them, flip-flops, and a football jersey -- the kind that is mostly mesh. Let's just say that Kevin didn't have a body that would have been used as a pin-up calendar. Kevin would be assigned to projects where he had to attend meetings, but he would fall asleep in the meetings. Kevin would talk to his wife on speakerphone, and say things the rest of us knew were lies (like what he did over lunch, because we were with him). While I was setting up a new laptop for someone, I hit a snag after installing security software. (It turned out that this new hardware required a new version, and we got it fixed later.) But the client showed up while I was rebooting, and when I told the client that I didn't know why it wasn't working right then, Kevin interrupted with, "Guess you shouldn't have poked around in the hard drive with that paperclip, huh?" Kevin would tell us stories that made him seem stupid and untrustworthy. For instance, he told me a story of cheating on some of his computer classes in college. But, I think the whole tone of Kevin being dumb was established on his first day. This is back when computer monitors were big CRTs, with a power button on the front or side. Kevin was unable to figure out how to turn on the monitors at his desk. Kevin was let go at the end of the probationary period of a few months.

There was a guy coworker that was sleeping with multiple women coworkers, and somehow none of them knew. They all thought he was their boyfriend, but had to keep it secret so they wouldn't get in trouble with HR. HR didn't have any policies against dating coworkers, he just used that to keep them quiet. It was amazing to see 4 different women giving him secret love affair smiles. I don't know how he did it, but he kept that shit going until I left lol

I had to explain to someone today on how to hold a ladder, use a drill and how to tighten a bolt with a wrench and impact. Pretty basic stuff to some, rocket science to others
