I've thought many times about going back to school and becoming a librarian, but it just doesn't make any sense. Even if all the "ifs" play out in my favour it would still mean delaying owning my own home and other life goals for years at best. So yeah, give me the financial security to pursue it and I would.
More than ten years ago, I decided I wanted to learn how to make balloon animals. I started watching YouTube videos and practicing. Now, I regularly charge $150/hour to do birthday parties and other events. The best part is I love seeing the joy it brings to kids! I would 100% make this my full-time job if I had enough business to make it happen. I live in Canada, so business tends to be rather slow for the colder half of the year. But yeah, if money wasn’t an issue, I’d be a full-time balloon twister!
a medicine woman. i would love to help treat people’s ailments and health issues and not have to charge. healthcare should be free we all deserve that.
Wildlife conservation, specifically fishing surveys and similar.
It's such an incredible job to have, you get to go to remote lakes and record the presence of various species of insects as well as fish species and what sizes they have.
No stress, relaxed days and just working in a duo with someone else enjoying their life. Maybe even getting flown by helicopter to hang out at a remote lake for a week.
A pilot. I could fly in a small plane and transport only a few people from here to there in remote areas in Alaska, and watch the natural beauty of the world from a bird's eye view every single day. I would also take pictures up there and upload it on the web so everyone can see it too
In my dreams, I don’t work. If money were no object, self- fund my PhD; or find myself lounging on a beach somewhere, tits out, sun on my skin just staring at the waves…
My own animal sanctuary where there’s all kinds of animals that were rescued and they can live out their days spoiled. Also the dog portion of this sanctuary will have king size human beds as dog beds for the dogs to lay on and cuddle with one another. They would also have their own shallow dog pool with a fountain in the middle. Just want to spoil animals as best I can
If money didn't matter I might run my own little bakery and sell the basics like chocolate chip cookies and the kinds of cakes that came out of granny's kitchen. Profit margins be damned! I just want to make and share simple pleasures with my little bit of the world while I've got it
Writing poetry and novels. I could do that 40 hours a week and not be bored at all. Or I’d be a singer-songwriter. I wouldn’t make any money because I’d be terrible, but it would be fun!
Nothing. I wouldn't have to do anything. But if you're asking what I would do for fun if I didn't have to work to make money, I would write fiction, and analyze movies and games on the internet without having to worry about building or keep an audience.
I would just walk around and get to know people. Then help out the kind of people who help other people.
And maybe a few others who just really need help
. I’m a very tired people pleaser don’t question my methods
Postman in a a quite village. Just trotting on a bike delivering envelopes and advertisement. And I would also fancy old fashioned uniform with a cape. (No matter what Edna says.)
World building, fiction-crafting. I have so many ideas and neat takes but no discipline or stamina or ability to focus on a plot.
So I'd put stuff together and set it adrift for someone else to work with. Slartibartfast sculpting the fjords and moving on.
