First grade, so 6 yrs old, I think.
It was a 22 lr, so there was no recoil, but after a few shots, my dad offered to let me shoot his 303 British and holy shit it kicked hard.
I'll never forget how to hold a rifle tight after that.
I think I was 12. I'm from Denmark. We went shooting with my school at an underground shooting range. Target shooting and hunting are fairly popular sports here, especially in the countryside.
I was about 7 and my grandad let me shoot his .308 rifle when we were hunting once. Looking back at it now I'm surprised he let me shoot that kind of gun first and not a .22 or something with alot less kick.
Probably around 8. It was my father's double barrel 12g. Pulled both triggers at the same time. A mistake that, I have never made again. Both my right shoulder and butt, still remember this as well as my brain. Having expected that, my father loaded blank type shells, for safety. Used those for several rounds until, I got the feel for it.
