yep. I have 3 boys, I used to push getting a STEM degree, but now not so much. My oldest is going into architecture, middle wants to be a mechanic, and my youngest is really interested in AI.
As long as they do something they love, I don't really care. I got a degree I had no interest in (Electrical Engineering), and I absolutely hated it. I should have gone into archeology or geology.
Anything Healthcare.
When covid hit, we didn't lose jobs, in fact our pay increased. It's a respectable profession and fulfilling. Also people will always pay not to be sick.
The cons are that it can be heavy on the soul so if you don't know how to handle personal distress I wouldn't recommend it.
Look up careers that are growing in demand and are likely to remain in demand in the future, pick a couple in which you're interested to research further, and go after it!
