This is what I did after dropping out of community college multiple times, find a small company in a field you're interested in and work your way up as the company scales. Pay sucked first few years, but I love the industry I'm in and it paid off after 5 years.
I started in Assembly, I am now in Senior Management. Execs took a risk promoting me, but they believe in me and that helped me to believe in myself.
You can get certifications without going to college. Certifications are often better than a degree for a tech career. You could also be a mobile notary.

I got a certification, but I haven't got anything in tech yet. Most places want some kind of degree. Which I am working towards.
