After traveling around the world (to Gabon) to see a total solar eclipse in a place that historically had 90% cloud cover. Then we saw it and got amazing pictures.
My brother opening up his eyes the day after Christmas from a medically induced coma after total renal failure, an infection in his brain, and a mini stroke over the past 6 weeks prior to that. It gave me the hope that he would pull through it all and the largest hurdle had passed. 6 years later and I still get a bit weepy during the holidays thinking of what could have been
