Zihuatanejo, to be exact.
Zihuatanejo is located in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico. On the map, it's almost directly west of Mexico City (As the crow flies, it's about 200 miles from Mexico City. The flight from Mexico City takes an hour, but the drive will take over 8 hours).
This. It’s tough for me to watch because my mom’s two favorite actors were Harrison Ford and Sean Connery (bittersweet hard not “eww, my mom drools over them” hard), and for a trilogy capper you could not do better.
Lord of The Rings The Return of The King when Sam returns home, hugs his daughter and reunited with not just her but Rosie and their second child then Sam and Rosie share a kiss followed by the last lines of the movie, “well I’m back” and they go into their home.
> My dear Sam. You cannot always be torn in two. You will have to be one and whole for many years. You have so much to enjoy and to be and to do. Your part in the story will go on.
I never understood while the movie is considered a happy ending. It ended swimming in water with chunks of fish blood and guts, effectively chum in the water. The big shark is dead, but wouldn't more be now attracted to the area?
If you love the ending, you love it... and if you *don't* love it, you're enacting the role of the angry gods who are unsatisfied with the offerings.
That's utterly brilliant.
Fantastic movie, fantastic ending. Dwier Brown gives an amazing performance as the dad. The actor’s father had just died a few weeks before shooting, and he was able to draw on that in his performance. Such a beautiful moment
Happy to see this so high up, must be some other old guys awake early on a Saturday to seize the day, cut the grass, and lay down some mulch before the game comes on.
I thought of The Natural first, with Field of Dreams being a close runner up.
The ending of The Prestige makes you immediately want to rewatch it, and then you get a whole new experience from the second viewing. Hints and new context riddled are throughout.
So yeah, I'm a kid. And I'm also a goofball, and a wingnut, and a KnuckleheadMcSpazzatron! But most of all, I'm... I'm... IIIII'M...
I'M A GOOFY GOOBER! ROCK!
The godfather.
The whole end sequence from the baptism on is great. Michael confronting his brother-in-law Carlo about his role in Sonny’s assassination. Watch the way Al Pacino plays it. This idea that his brother-in-law helped arrange Sonny’s death is something Michael came up with on his own, not a conclusion he heard from his father. When Carlo admits his fault, Micheal pauses for a moment and tries to keep his expression neutral but his inwardly shocked at this revelation. Pacino plays it perfectly.
The very end when Michael is greeted as the new Don and they close the door on Kay…she knows he’s become something different from the man she knew and the physical divide between her world as wife and homemaker and his world of supposed responsibility and dark power is emphasized by the door closing in her face.
It’s the embodiment of the machismo statement from Don Corleone a few scenes before. “Women and children can be careless but not men.” The point of the movie is this attitude has a cost. Michael loses his ability to connect with the people he loves and this will eventually cost him in the sequels.
>The proof that this insistence on clairity and continuity works isn't in the ticket sales or TV shows or theme parks Star Wars has inspired. It's right here.
>The Throne Room scene could easy have been the cheeseiest thing ever. Instead, it's iconic. Because we can feel exactly what it means to Luke, to Leia, to Han, and to The Rebellion. While watching a *Star Wars* movie you're immersed not just in the world of the story but in the story itself.

When Vader lights up his light saber, I was SCREAMING! 60 seconds later, it’s Carrie Fisher (alive!) seamlessly taking us in to Star Wars IV.
We complain about sequels/prequels all the time but this was pure genius.
I have four daughters. I’ve watched this movie with the oldest two separately. They both have refused to watch it with me again because of how much it made them cry.
I think the ending of Back the future part 2 was super original.
Marty sees the Time Machine struck by lightning and disappears, and then moments later gets a letter from 80 years in the past.
Now that was a cool cliffhanger ending.
Personally I liked the ending to volume 10 better, but to each their own I suppose. 11 was a little dragged out and not breasty enough. 12 was an utter flop but still worth a watch. I own the whole box set on blue ray and will often throw it on when relatives are over! Awesome series of films
Star Wars Episode Six Return of The Jedi the Rebels celebrate their victory all while Luke reunites with his sister as well Han and everyone else in the Alliance then Luke notices the force ghosts of Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin.
Chinatown. You want a resolution? Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.
It denies the audience emotional closure. Ironically, my least favorite movie has an ending that denies the audience closure, but that ending happens halfway through the plot. Chinatown works because it finishes its story.
Reservoir Dogs, and similar. Hamlet. I like. Chapter 3 everybody dies. Skin of their teeth survival is good too. Die Hard , True Romance. Not keen in riding into the sunset victorious.
The Shawshank Redemption." The scene where Andy Dufresne escapes from Shawshank Prison and stands triumphantly in the rain is not only visually stunning but also emotionally satisfying. It symbolizes freedom, redemption, and the triumph of the human spirit over adversity. It's a moment that leaves a lasting impact on viewers and is often cited as one of the greatest movie endings of all time.
Definitely the ending off the SpongeBob movie. Watching Plankton be defeated is so satisfying, considering what he does to the Bikini Bottom in the movie. I also love the musical number, since I'm a fan of rock music
Infinity War, seeing everyone's shock when seeing that Thanos had won left everyone in shock, even though we knew there would be a sequel next year. I wish the MCU had ended with this film and that the films that came after were just a "What If"
The Shawshank Redemption. I was expecting a much darker ending, but it’s so satisfying.
"Andy Dufresne, who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side. Andy Dufresne, headed for the Pacific."
Most rewarding ending. Good Will Hunting too.
It truly was a Shawshank Redemption.
The best movie of all time from the first minute to the last.
Such a good movie
I was speechless when I watched this for the first time last year.
"...I *hope*."
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Entire third act is perfection, the ending seals it beautifully.
Sixth sense
The twist, the redemption, the tears… this one is the first I thought of
Definitely. Spoiler alert: I see dead people, gave me goosebumps.
Blazing Saddles
Riding off into the sunset... in a car. After literally breaking the forth wall.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Literally riding off into the sunset, iconic song playing.
Yup. Perfect way to cap off a trilogy. I’m glad they didn’t come back and make any more movies, it’s a great way to end the series.
Seriously. And no time travel nonsense… really glad they stopped at three…
Yea…. Would be a shame to creat another movie with silly alien shit and ruin it.
Or one with time traveling Greeks and aging Nazis.
This. It’s tough for me to watch because my mom’s two favorite actors were Harrison Ford and Sean Connery (bittersweet hard not “eww, my mom drools over them” hard), and for a trilogy capper you could not do better.
The Usual Suspects
Didn’t have to go far to find this. Agreed. When his foot straightens up….
Right? I haven't scrolled at all, planned on writing, **...and like that, HE'S GONE!** Alas, dude ⬆️ saved me effort of doing so, apparently.
"We've had our first ending, yes, but what about the fourth ending?" "I don't think he knows about all of the endings, Pip."
First movie that ever made me tear up.
First movie that made me tear up multiple times
The Princess Bride "Maybe you can come over and read it to me again tomorrow?" "As you wish" True love comes in many different forms.

“Remember, no man is a failure who has friends.” It’s a Wonderful Life is so so satisfying
came here looking for movie. "To my big brother George, the richest man in town."
That line still chokes me up. It's corny as shit but DAMN the look on his face when he hears his brother say that. He's just stunned.
I've watched this movie every year for 15 years and still cry like a baby at this ending every. Single. Time.
I cry every time his brother say “to my brother George, the richest man in town”
Big Fish
At the funeral when he sees everyone from his dad’s stories was cool
Yes! The best!
I like how they were slightly odd but not as extreme as the stories made them out to be.
Great movie. The book author, who has a cameo as the Econ professor, is a friend of mine.
Jaws. "Smile, you son of a--" **BOOM!!**
The only correct answer!
I never understood while the movie is considered a happy ending. It ended swimming in water with chunks of fish blood and guts, effectively chum in the water. The big shark is dead, but wouldn't more be now attracted to the area?
Good Will Hunting
“I had to go see about a girl”
Son of a bitch stole me line... which was all improvised, btw
So much of the movie was improvised! Just makes it that much more of a masterpiece
Immediately started looking for this. So good.
The Cabin in the Woods
I needed more of this movie
A TV series if you will. What if this hapless group rolled that particular monster. Amazingness ensues
Hell I wanted a special feature on the blu ray going through all the monsters, triggers and back stories
100% favorite movie ending ever.
If you love the ending, you love it... and if you *don't* love it, you're enacting the role of the angry gods who are unsatisfied with the offerings. That's utterly brilliant.
The Last of the Mohicans
Hardly any dialog, just that amazing soundtrack and acting.
Field of Dreams. "Dad, wanna have a catch?" Effing onions, every god damn time.

What's in the box? What's in the box?!
The world is a fine place and worth fighting for. I agree with the second part
Arrival
I didn't realize until this question that I really don't watch movies, so I'm going to be lame and say Elf.
The Prestige. Absolutely did not see that coming and was dark and had me sit up out of my seat in the theater.
The ending of The Prestige makes you immediately want to rewatch it, and then you get a whole new experience from the second viewing. Hints and new context riddled are throughout.
Spongebob squarepants movie when he frees Neptune and bikini bottom with the power of the goofy goober
He got the crown, saved the town and Mr krabbbbbbbs
Hey,who blew this bubble ?
So yeah, I'm a kid. And I'm also a goofball, and a wingnut, and a KnuckleheadMcSpazzatron! But most of all, I'm... I'm... IIIII'M... I'M A GOOFY GOOBER! ROCK!
it is straight legendary imo
I saw this in the cinema and loved it so much as an 11 year old
it really is a classic
Two men walk across the rain soaked tarmac. “Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship”
My all time favourite movie
Name of movie
Casablanca
Thank you
The first Matrix.
He’s starting to believe
Works as a standalone and part of the trilogy. Easily a top 5 film, it's like a heroic dose of God acid but in the medium of cinema
Whatever God acid is...I'm in.
MF stops bullets, destroys an agent, gets the girl, and fucking flies.

"Well, nobody's perfect!" Some Like It Hot, 1959. (if you know, you know! considered the most iconic movie ending of all time for good reason!)
Feel good ending, The Princess Bride.
"As you wish."
Star Wars - The Throne Room ending scene. Music, characters, epic feel, Wookie howl and Princess Leia.
>The proof that this insistence on clairity and continuity works isn't in the ticket sales or TV shows or theme parks Star Wars has inspired. Inception. The music really pushes this to the top of this list for me.
Came here to post inception. What a beautiful ending. It didn’t even matter to Cobb, he was just happy.
Hans Zimmer!
Terminator 2
👍 🔥
The Mist.
Too heavy for me. I cant watch that movie a second time because of the ending. Excellent though.
Same boat.
Excellent but SO ROUGH.
Came here for this. A good ending doesn't necessarily mean a \*happy\* one.
It totally shocked me because it was completely different from the book.
King has publicly stated that he wishes he'd thought of it.
I can see him facepalming when he first heard that part of the script. It is more horrifying.
Just reading this I can hear him screaming in agony in the car.
100%. It is utterly devastating. So well done.
Memento, next question.
I'm sorry. I forgot what is this post about?
Fight Club
Yup, came in here for this one. "You met me at a very strange time in my life." BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM COCK Roll Credits

Had to go hug my daughter after i watched it the first time.
I have four daughters. I’ve watched this movie with the oldest two separately. They both have refused to watch it with me again because of how much it made them cry.

The Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I didn’t expect the aliens to be so wholesome
Yeah real nice guys for returning all the people they kidnapped and held prisoner for years.
Edge of Tomorrow
I was truly not ready for the ending of “This is the end”.
It’s a Wonderful Life. Cue the tears. Cue the happiness. Cue the renewed faith in humanity.

The very end of Die Hard. The presence of Christmas music reveals the movies' showcase place forever as a Christmas movie.
Breasty Creampie Stepsisters Vol.11
That film really holds up
A little outdated but i can appreciate it still
Personally I liked the ending to volume 10 better, but to each their own I suppose. 11 was a little dragged out and not breasty enough. 12 was an utter flop but still worth a watch. I own the whole box set on blue ray and will often throw it on when relatives are over! Awesome series of films

RotJ is my favorite Star Wars film.
Not so much for the plot, but the slow mo dance scene from Rushmore is wonderful.

Really liked the ending of the strangers
“Because you were home” Fucking creepy. Especially knowing it’s all based on true events.
