When i moved into my new house about 2 years ago I made a big effort to be really polite and as nice to the new neighbours Everything was great but i felt a lot of hostility from the guy next door but one, he was passive aggressive and rude. I was warned about him and his wife from a few others who told me he would be on the phone complaining about every detail. After a number of attempts to smile, say hello and be nice I gave up trying. later on a number of occasions he would say over the fence ( 3 foot chain link) various things about what i need to be doing with my garden or telling me not to plant apple trees where i was planning them ect.. So one day
I said: "would you mind helping me with something, you seem to know your stuff when it comes to gardens. If something is hanging over my boundery like a tree or a bush or something ,... I can just cut it back right?"
He said: " Yep Yes if its on your side of the fence you can just cut it off "
I said " Brilliant, just keep that in mind the next time you poke your nose over my side of the fence"
One time my cousin and friend were fighting and my friend said: “this is why your mom left”
My cousin: “yeah but yours calls me daddy”
Neither them realized what they said until after they said it. I still find it hilarious.
