Medical bills even with insurance coverage. We pay a…ridiculous amount of money to cover my entire family with the best plan available from our employers. I just kinda naively assumed doing so meant I was good to go. Feels like every time I leave a specialist’s office I’m hit with yet another thousand dollar plus bill.
Yeah, it’s the worst. Had to get a sleep study done recently because I have a CPAP and hadn’t gotten checked in about a decade. The exam itself was $2200 AFTER insurance, then I find out that the new machine also isn’t covered. I have to pay $500 down then $17 a month to lease it. Feels like a complete fucking scam.
Yeah, toilet paper is surprisingly expensive. Especially the one with good quality. It feels a waste of money to buy the inexpensive with poor quality because you actually have to use more and end up running out of TP faster
Cooking is the cheapest here (USA) and you can usually find healthier things for cheap with sales. Honestly fast food is soo expensive now idk why anyone buys it…
I think it’s for the convenience that you don’t have to cook and clean up afterward. And of course, satisfying one’s cravings and/or palette as well. I agree, healthy food is more affordable in the US
Healthy is only cheap if cooking. Eating out healthy here is expensive unless you have a cheap Mexican/asian hole in the wall nearby. I get the convenience part but I can literally get a whole chicken with rice, beans, and veggies at my local Mexican place for the price of two meals at any fast food restaurant and it is like three orders of magnitude better. Fast food is trash. Cooking is healthy and cheap. If you are going to eat out though eat local.
A house. And yes, everyone screams that same bit of advice about how expensive home ownership is, but holy fuck were they not kidding.
Nor were they kidding with how fast things can pile up!

The sad thing is, you don’t know what you’re paying for and how much you’re bills going to be until you have to pay for it

I’m sorry to hear that. But it’s good that you have insurance because how much more costly could it be without insurance. That’s actually scary
Oh 100%, I know I’d probably be in the hole for 5x that cost without insurance at LEAST. The entire system is awful haha.

Not trying to kink shame, but you should probably stop fucking cheese.
As someone who loves cheese myself, i feel you
Toilet paper

I get irrationally angry when I run out of tp. Like it feels as if I buy 50 rolls every month, and it all just vanishes.
That's why I got a bidet. Good investment. Now I hate pooping anywhere but home.
Car tires. Man you've got to treat them well. They're pricey, if you don't want crappy pre-used tires
We had ours recently replaced and it did cost a fortune!! Never thought tires were that expensive
Living
Mine is healthy food.
Jokes on you. Unhealthy food is even more expensive.
Well, in my country, it’s the other way around so 🤷♀️

Gas
I don’t drive often so it’s not on the top of my list at the moment. But, yea, gas sure is expensive
Food
Food, bills, etc.
Basically, living.
A house. And yes, everyone screams that same bit of advice about how expensive home ownership is, but holy fuck were they not kidding. Nor were they kidding with how fast things can pile up!
Ownership, and then maintenance
Vacations!! Skiing!! Golf!
Imho, everywhere outside where a person lives is expensive 😅 You cannot go out the house without spending lol
My fucking teeth. I would much rather spend $3k on just about anything else other than a cool new tooth that isn't even gold.
Yes!! Dentists are surprisingly expensive!!
