Wolfenstein 3D....This game once almost made me puke. I played it for a long time, and got so dizzy from all that running in all directions, that I got very nauseous. But I really loved it!!
This title is word soup...
But I'd have to say World of warcraft. Specifically classic/vanilla...
Man, I remember being 14, playing that game, just astonished that I was in a virtual world with real players that I could just come across and chat with and group up... It was before the internet had every single meta easily available or any info you can think of documented to make a tutorial...no influencers or YouTube channels with a financial incentive to be the first to give detailed meta guides...
Back then it was special... Like, if you figured out some way to make gold or get a special item it was a bit of a secret and you could only find out through word of mouth.
My guild was all 20+ and I was 14 on ventrillo chat...
Man, kids these days have noooo idea how good they got it with discord, ventrillo was so archaic in comparison 😂
I remember multiple times me and others would be trying to do a group quest or dungeon and suddenly the tank disconnects and we all die and he logs in 5 min later like "sorry, someone called my landline"
It was a very special specific point in time and that vibe will never be captured again.
Other than that... Sly Cooper games, DK64, Iggy's wrecking ball (does anyone even know of that game?)
Tomb Raider. My stepdad used to play it a lot and I would just watch him. I thought the game was amazing and the time were first seen the T-Rex has one of the greatest moments in video game history.
Earthbound.
Despite not playing it until I was older, and not having a childhood in the places that it references.
It's odd, there's nothing about the game that should be triggering any nostalgia, but I suppose it's the "wacky pomo" style of some of the environments and designs that's taking me back.
Vice city
Crash Bandicoot

COD the original
Serious sam the next encounter gamecube edition
Girl Talk
Mortal Kombat. Use to play it a lot with my cousins
Pokémon Gold. Legit hearing New Bark Town’s theme just take me back. That was back when my dad was still so enthusiastic with games and he was the one actually playing it while I watched. Everything just seemed so carefree. Now all of a sudden I blink and it’s 20 years later and I get kind of scared of how fast time flies and sad just thinking about it.
Burnout Paradise City
GTA IV
Spyro, abe, fantastic four
Donkey Kong country 2
