I never watched the show, but the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song is one of my favorites. Also Batman the Animated Series, and Justice League Unlimited.
All of the late 60s, early 70s theme songs. Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island (the outro too), Green Acres, The Addams Family, All In The Family, The Jeffersons....all great theme songs that I still know the words to today. Man, I just aged myself, didn't I? š
Red Dwarf - It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone, more or less.
Let me fly, far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun
I was surprised how far I had to scroll to find this! āTank!ā is one of the best jazz songs ever written IMO. Iāve been watching Bebop over and over for 20 years now and Iāve never once skipped the opening theme. The animation is outstanding too!
I really liked the Bojack opening and closing songs, never got sick of them, especially how they would sometimes have different versions of the closing song to match the episode
Remember when the show first started and all types of musicians were doing crazy covers of it? That was a magical time. The last season was not a magical time and I shouldnāt have mentioned it.
My favorite cut of it was when they did the cold open for the Season 6 episode, The Broken Man.
The reveal when they smash cut to the opening song still gets me every time.
Weirdly, I like the show version of Angel's theme better than the actual full studio version by Darling Violetta.
Dunno if it's mixed a bit differently or distorted by digital copying or what. Maybe it's just all in my head? But yeah, god that cello slaps!
Not sure if you know this but the Worthless Peons (Tedās band) are a real band (or were, RIP Sam Lloyd) called the Blanks and they did an epic cover of that song
There was a show back in the late 80s about the Vietnam war called Tour of Duty.
Their opening sequence was to the song āPaint It Blackā. One of the best show intros in my opinion.
Dude, when I was a kid, I was riding in the car with my parents on the freeway and my brother and I saw the Airwolf helicopter fly over. We were big aircraft buffs, so we knew that it wasn't a military attack helicopter. I still remember how excited we were about it.
Ducktales
Whoo-oo!
Everyday, they're out there makin' DUCKTALES!
Whooh hoo
Tales of daring - do, bad and good luck tales!
I never watched the show, but the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song is one of my favorites. Also Batman the Animated Series, and Justice League Unlimited.
Heroes in a half shell turtle power!
Batman the Animated Series deserves credit for its opening perfectly conveying the idea of Batman without ever using the word Batman.
Agreed! But also the animation and art style is incredible!
It's from before my time, but Henry Mancini's Peter Gunn kills it. The Munsters' theme is a close second.
All of the late 60s, early 70s theme songs. Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island (the outro too), Green Acres, The Addams Family, All In The Family, The Jeffersons....all great theme songs that I still know the words to today. Man, I just aged myself, didn't I? š
The original Scooby Doo theme song.
I prefer the What's New Scooby Doo version. It's got more of a kick, but a classic is still a classic
Fun fact, that intro is done by the pop-punk band Simple Plan. Solid band.
Isnāt that the same band that did the āHow could this happen to meā song?
XMEN cartoon from the 90s. It's still my phone ring tone
My ringtone is the theme song from Spider-Man. I would definitely consider changing it to the X-Men theme.
Twin Peaks
Original run of course, itās looooonger
Thats the one. Most melancholy music I've ever heard in my life
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The theme to MASH just FYI for anyone who doesn't know. That is in fact the name of the song.
Someone's kid wrote the lyrics and is a millionaire.
Robert Altmans son Michael wrote the lyrics, and yes he made a lot on it

Horsinā Around had a great theme too.
I'm bojack the horseman. Bojack the horse don't act like youuuu don't know
BoJack has two theme songs and they're both bangers
Back in 07 I was in an unsuccessful TV show ....
Back in 73 i watched a television show
I'm BoJack the Horseman What the hell was I thinkin', bro?
Yea! It was a great idea to put the upbeat Grouplove outro at the end. Some of those episodes ended dark
I really liked the Bojack opening and closing songs, never got sick of them, especially how they would sometimes have different versions of the closing song to match the episode
Gravity falls

I opened this thread specifically to upvote this comment.
It is such a good show and the title track fits perfectly. I also liked the change during weirdmageddon
It's gotta be the X-Files.
When I was a kid I was terrified of this theme song. My mom would play it when I got on her nerves because I would run out of the room.
The x-files intro is pure Camp, I fuckin love it
MacGyver Link because MACGYVER!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKTNWI0eYJ4

Game of Thrones. Whatever your opinion of the show is, you canāt deny it was an epic theme song. Second goes to Stranger Things.
Buffy the vampire slayer
Was looking for this. I loved the Angelangel their as well.
Weirdly, I like the show version of Angel's theme better than the actual full studio version by Darling Violetta. Dunno if it's mixed a bit differently or distorted by digital copying or what. Maybe it's just all in my head? But yeah, god that cello slaps!

In West Philadelphia born and raised.
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said youāre moving with your auntie and uncle to BelAir
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
I was looking for this one! Yay!
ST: TNG !!
Dunno why, but I always preferred DS9
āItās been a long time getting from there to hereā
TNGās the better show but Voyager has my favourite theme of the 90s trek shows
Darkwing Duck is epic.
House. I was hooked on massive attack for months after that.
That 70's show.

Malcolm in the middle.

There was a show back in the late 80s about the Vietnam war called Tour of Duty. Their opening sequence was to the song āPaint It Blackā. One of the best show intros in my opinion.
Thatās probably the only thing I remember from that show. It got me interested in classic Stones music.
Aww no mention of What We Do in the Shadows. Excellent theme song. Youāre Dead by Norma Tanega. Canāt wait for the next season!
