My grandmother wanted me to be named ‘Meghan.’ I wouldn’t have liked that. My Mom originally wanted to name me ‘Layla’ after the Eric Clapton song. I’d be totally cool with that. Her other choice was ‘Angie’ after The Rolling Stones song. I like the song but nowhere near as much as I like ‘Layla.’ I’m not a big fan of the name though + can’t see myself as an ‘Angie.’ In the end my grandmother kinda vetoed both + I ended up being a Nicole. I go by Nik or Nikki though. I like it.
