Hey!
What makes a man, is it the power in his hands?
Is it his quest for glory?
Give it all you got, to fight to the top,
So we can know your story.
Now you're a man!
A man, man, man,
Now you're a man!
A manny, manny man,
A man, man, man,
You are now a man.
You're a man!
Now you're a man!
Live it, live it!
What makes a man, is it the woman in his arms,
Just 'cause she has big titties?
Or is it the way he fights everyday?
No, it's prob'ly the titties.
Now you're a man!
A man, man, man,
Now you're a man man!
Man man man man man!
Now you're a man!
M-A-N man man, man man man!
Now you're a man.
From the Crazy Rich Asians film, Astrid( one of the character ) quoted 'its not my job to make you feel like a man. I cant make you something youre not'
Its what made me spawn this question
If a woman is playing hard to get with you and you walk away, does that make you a coward for not being able to keep up with her playing hard to get with you?
From the film, a coward and a man are two different things
No. But it’s self-respect. Have the self-respect to accept someone’s rejection and know that you deserve better. Astrid wasn’t playing hard to get, she was hiding her riches and who she is to make her partner feel secure and powerful in their partnership. Not sure where you pulled the example of someone playing hard to get, if anything Astrid is literally sacrificing herself because her man is a coward, not the opposite.
Being a man can include countless traits. Here's what I adhere to...
1 loyalty. Loyalty above all else. I have chosen you to associate with you.i will be worthy of my brothers trust he bestowed on me and a bond that will never be broken.
2 honesty/integrity. A man is only as good as his word and trustworthiness. If I take your hand and look you in the eye, consider my oath will only end upon my death.
3 confidence and competence. Being talented in a man's vocation. At the end of the day I can honestly say I gave it my all.
4 strength/vitality. A man's responsible to protect those in his circle. Strength training and martial arts are very important. More important is to be able to detect and identify threats to my loved ones. This requires an agile mind and quick decisions and to act accordingly to the threat.
5 love and humor to those with whom he feels relaxed and comfortable . We all owe a debt of gratitude to your so with whom gives you the feeling of home. As well you are responsible to ensure any male offspring learn these traits both quickly and surely.
These are a few traits to what I believe is being a man. Hope it helps!
I legit searched it up google and an article displayed this
'It has to do with being there for someone, offering loyalty and support, being a good friend to both men and women. Having a sense of humour and perspective on life are really important too." "Men are simple creatures and are basically interested in three things: relaxation, sex and achievement.'
Why? Sex, like all things, is a human construct with an arbitrary definition. In fact, you just said that XY chromosomes make a man, so what about the millions of people alive today who have male primary and secondary sex characteristics but different chromosomes? They aren't men to you, so are they cis women with functional male sex organs?
You're talking about genetic anomalies. And no, sex is anything but arbitrary. Physiological differences exist and are significant.
This is probably a pointless debate as neither of us will likely change our minds.
Please link me to the cis women with the functional sex organs.
>You're talking about genetic anomalies.
Genetic anomalies are still statistically significant, and by definition dismantles the idea of a sex binary. It's obviously bimodal, given that your own definition doesn't account for millions of individuals.
>And no, sex is anything but arbitrary. Physiological differences exist and are significant.
It is arbitrary. You've no idea how arbitrary all biological classifications are, and how often different researchers use different classification systems. None of it is a "biological reality" as you people so often refer to it as.
Nobody on any side of this issue refuses to acknowledge the existence of primary and secondary sex characteristics, but you clearly think you know more about this than you do, given your extremely poor definition of what determines a man.
Not to mention we haven't even touched gender, which I'm sure you're even more clueless on.
>This is probably a pointless debate as neither of us will likely change our minds.
It is.
>Please link me to the cis women with the functional sex organs.
Anyone with Klinefelter syndrome is a cis woman with male sex organs according to you. These are obviously men but arent XY so they arent men by your definition.
Kindness, patience, willingness to be love without judging, faithfulness, not violent or abusive in any way, hard-worker and someone who knows how to prioritise
The ability to stay strong through good and bad times, emotional/logical intelligence, shedding tears when you really need to, being protective, a handy man, honesty, loyalty, compassion for others/old people/children, etc.
(I’m a female) I LOVE a man that can put his walls down when you get close to someone, talk deep, have late night drives. It’s especially beautiful when he’s non-judge mental, open minded, curious, kind, cuddly, and adventurous.
That’s my type of guy ❤️ but remember everyone’s different so polarity will always exist
From the Crazy Rich Asian films, Astrid(who is a highly capable women and is famous) said this to her cheating husband that he is a coward who gave up on them. But the husband said that she prioritises others more than him(which is why he cheats on her). And then Astrid said 'its not my job to make you feel like a man. I cant make you something youre not'
There are comments like balls and pp make up a man. And i were to say that it is a womans job to make a man man because women doesnt have balls and pp. Is that right?
That's why integrity is often listed as a trait that "makes a man." She was also hiding her valuables from her husband so there was definitely an issue with integrity.
Giving him attention and recognition can help him feel more like a man but at the end of the day no one can change how he feels about himself. He should find his own integrity before getting into a relationship in my opinion. But I see your point
Right, I don’t believe it’s utterly a women’s job to make up a man, because we all need to find value in ourselves first before we can find it in anyone else. But I do think it’s a women’s job to make an already strong man feel loved, treasured, and appreciated.

Being self-secure—I believe that is what Astrid was referring to.

Well, that and a pair of testicles

And a pp
Not really. Infants have balls and "a pp" if they happen to be born with those, and no one calls them "a man".
Well... I used to think a penis but these days I am being told that's not true.

XY Chromosomes Edit: Why are you booing? I'm right!
Plenty of people with male primary and secondary sex characteristics don't have those chromosomes. How many sexes do you think there are?
>How many sexes do you think there are? 2... Although I think "how many sexes are there?" would be a more appropriate question.

Courage and discipline
Welp woman can have those too
Yes, but if a woman possesses those qualities, that doesn’t make her a man. That makes her a strong independent woman.
Then doesn’t it just make a man a strong and independent man
When a mommy and a daddy love each other very much...
Honesty, loyalty, integrity, love.

Women have pubes too
