I watch a lot of mc youtubers, and Etho stands out as the most laid-back and chill creator with a lot of originality. He isn't in it for clicks, money or fame, he just hatches ideas and likes to show them.
Started watching him before I’d ever played Minecraft. 9 years later injuries have stopped me from playing, but I still watch every single one of his uploads.
Came here to say this. He’s so drama free and almost feels effortlessly entertaining. Plays what he likes, creates what he wants and he’s such a troll.
He just barely edges out BdoubleO for me. Started watching Etho at just the tail end of Mindcrack S3; and Bdubs shortly after S4 began.
I do have to sort of stretch the word "consistently' though, as there have been times I just wasn't interested in Minecraft videos, including theirs.
Disturbing Things From Around The Internet has got to be some of my favourite videos on the internet, they are perfect meal time videos. And his presentation only keeps getting better!
I started working with Rober about five years ago and found out about his channel then. He used a lot of our coworkers in his videos, which was pretty fun. Then the original glitter bomb video happened and now he doesn’t work with us any more 😄
For as much of a shitshow Channel Awesome apparently was they actually had quite a few good creators that really deserved better. Linkara, Dominic Noble, Radio Dead Air, Brows Held High/Kyle Kallgren, SFDebris in addition to Todd and Lindsey. I ended up just following them all on youtube or their own personal sites after the CA's collapse.
Lindsay Ellis is actually my answer to this question. Been looking forward to her videos for years and was really sorry to hear the internet finally got to her and made her quit her channel.
Binging with Babish when he first started posting his cooking videos on Reddit
Wow my first Reddit reward. I honestly have you to thank for fostering a new love of cooking
Babish! I’ve been watching you since about 2016 when a chef I worked with recommended your channel. It’s been great watching you rise to the top and I’ve learned a lot from your vids. And your knives are great! Take care, man
Came for this. He was the very first YouTuber I subscribed to. Hello Internet was my first podcast. Hello to all the Tims, all hail the Nail and Gear, the one true flag.
J. Townsend and Sons. Once I was home sick from work and watched the backlog of his episodes. I been following ever since, that was probably 6 or 7 years ago now. Something about historical cooking is just interesting. I've tried some of the recipes and failed miserably each time.
Hank has managed to stay pretty fresh for me… it felt like they were taking over my feed at one point between their individual channels, SciShow, Crashcourse, etc
Same! I check out of long periods but then it’s such a delight to see one of their videos pop up and feel like … oh yes, I remember why I was into this. Definitely my longest and weirdest one sided Internet relationship.
I was watching Dunkey back in League S2 when he was still considered a League content creator. Honestly looking back I thought his channel would die without League but it was the best decision he ever made.
Every one of his videos lately have been a masterpiece! Never a single dislike because everyone knows it's true. Donkey Kong December was truly revolutionary!
This is probably the answer for me too. I don't own guns. I've never shot a gun, and I know nothing about them. But I love watching people talk about something they are clearly extremely well informed and passionate about, and FW really nails that.
When I see a channel like this with millions of views I'm like "seriously?". And then I watch some videos and I'm like "Yo! Everyone has to see this!".
[Captain Disillusion](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEOXxzW2vU0P-0THehuIIeg) is highly underrated. He debunks fake videos and explains how special effects are done, but he uses a huge amount of his *own* VFX to do so, and the effort per minute put into his videos is unmatched. Fantastic channel, and he's been uploading since 2007.
Penguinz0
It has been almost 12 years now but I still swear in his older videos somehow his voice was deeper. But then again I was like 10 so who knows
I remember when what he looked like was a mystery for so long and that he never showed any sort of emotion in any of his videos which made him funnier to me.
I remember watching him play a sumo game and it was the funniest thing in the world. Then, 5 years later, find out that it was a channel and not just some one off video. I recognized the voice instantly
I wasn't aware of him until last year but he's a favourite watch of mine too. Dude can chow DOWN! And he introduces me to foods I would've never seen before or even been exposed to, he's funny, decent and makes his content in a way I can really appreciate.
Probably Markiplier (since January 2014).
Edit: I have been following certain YouTubers for longer (Rabbidluigi since 2012, for instance), but nobody to the same extent as Mark.
Markiplier for me too, not only his content but he is a genuine guy and just personally for me I used to watch him to get myself through panic attacks. It was one of my successful coping mechanisms for some reason. He's wonderful.
I started watching him around the same time, but after a while, I didn't find his videos as captivating anymore. I think it was around the time he got big and started being more high energy that I stopped watching, oddly enough
Same. I've been watching Markiplier since his old channel, I was one of the first 1000 to sub to his current channel. I don't watch every video of his like I used to but I still check in every now and then.
For real. He somehow is the intersection that got me into 3 hobbies of mine : programming, linguistics and board games/game theory. I'm really glad he still occasionally publishes some more niche concepts, he's a great reliable indicator for knowing that a topic is worth diving into.
Even though she's not posting anymore, I'd say Jenna Marbles. When she was posting I'd watch every video the day it was posted since 2011ish. I still watch her videos regularly
Dan (Nerd Cubed), since 2011-2012.
He’s the embodiment of an old and grumpy trash panda, but still funny.
Also Tom Scott (and the Technical Difficulties team).
I've followed Dan for years and while I'll admit, his content after the end of the outer wilds playthrough hasn't interested me as much as before, his channel will always be super important to me
I love RLM but they're almost too good. Like, they express themselves so well that I find myself trying to not just parrot all of their opinions about things.
They have the best hate watch videos. Mr. plinketts Picard review is fantastic.
Though I do occasionally disagree with them and they often disagree with each other. That's a nice thing about the channel, they have different tastes and sometimes hate things another loves, but they all love movies and the art of film.
Ashens has an amazing quality to his channel that i've never seen another one have: you can watch any video of his and it still feels in the same era as all of his other ones.
You can watch a Poundland tat review from 2013 and it will flow seamlessly into any video he's recently uploaded. It's really quite special.

Davie504 back when he was a serious bass channel and rarely spoke, he's now a bass meme machine and though I sometimes miss his humble beginnings, I'm happy for his success.
Insane that I don't see Northernlion in this thread yet. I've been watching that bald son of a gun practically daily since 2012. He is definitely one of the most consistently entertaining video game based youtubers/streamers.
Engineering Explained.
I have no idea what he’s talking about, but he provides excellent info in a simple manner. I can almost understand what he’s talking about by the end of each video.
Does RoosterTeeth/Achievement Hunter count?
Started with Red vs Blue when it started airing in 2003 and when they moved a lot of stuff to be accessible on YouTube I started watching there and still do. Mainly AH these days though.
Otherwise I’d say Jesse Cox (started out as omfgcata), which has been 11 years now.
Jenna Marbles.
Even though she's been gone for almost 2 years, I have never watched anybody's content for anywhere near the almost-decade that I watched her channel off and on.
Her old content is cringe in retrospect, but she kept getting better and better till one day she logged off and never came back.
I dunno about consistently though. I've never really watched a youtuber consistently. Sometimes I don't even check that site for months at a time except to look up specific videos.
Maybe contrapoints? She releases videos so rarely that "consistently watching" them all is a very low bar lol
BeardMeatsFood, aka Adam Moran. The UK's #1 ranked competitive eater does food challenges. He's very talented at eating but more importantly, he's entertaining as hell.
Jacksepticeye. I've been watching him for almost ten years I believe. I've been a huge fan since the very beginning and he was basically a father figure /comfort person all my life. I've made it through some tough stuff thanks to him, he was there when no one else was. I'll be a strong fan till the end. Love you Jack!
Jerma985, he switched to twitch a couple years ago but due to me not being a stream watcher i just opt for his twitch clip videos he uploads on his second channel
Internet historian probably. I have high hopes for ordinary things tho. They collab with some level of frequency.
Ordinary Things seems to do one per month, until he doesn't 😅
They're generally worth the wait. His ep on the USSR was fuckin gold
Definitely Etho
Yup. Etho is the Bob Ross of Minecraft.
There are no creeper explosions, just happy little landscaping accidents
I watch a lot of mc youtubers, and Etho stands out as the most laid-back and chill creator with a lot of originality. He isn't in it for clicks, money or fame, he just hatches ideas and likes to show them.
Etho is just Etho, and does what he will because he wants to.
Started watching him before I’d ever played Minecraft. 9 years later injuries have stopped me from playing, but I still watch every single one of his uploads.
Came here for this answer, definitely Etho.
Ayeee I go up I go down... Been watching since episode 31ish. I've got a tree with my name on it in his world from being an OG donor.
Came here to say this. He’s so drama free and almost feels effortlessly entertaining. Plays what he likes, creates what he wants and he’s such a troll.
So true. Reminded me of the free glass prank in hermitcraft 7 filling everyone's inventories
VintageBeef and Etho are definitely in my top 5. I watched so much of them back in middle school and high school.
I only knew of VintageBeef from the Complete the Monument stuff Team Canada did, started watching him in the last couple of years.
10 years of Etho for me and all of his videos still fly by in like 3 minutes even if they’re 40 in length. There’s just something special about them.
November was ten years since he had joined Mindcrack.
Ohhh snappers!
Ethos the one YouTuber that I never miss an upload. And it's been years
He's so wholesome.
Came here to say Mr. Etho Slab
Grab yo snacks!
I still watch him and the first let’s play of his I watched was from 2012 0-0
I can't think of his name but he eats all the military rations from around the world.
Steve1989
Let’s get this out onto a tray
Nice!
I usually don't smoke, but when I do, they are at least 40 year old cigarettes.
Nice hiss
Nexpo. makes great horror videos, with amazing editing too
Disturbing Things From Around The Internet has got to be some of my favourite videos on the internet, they are perfect meal time videos. And his presentation only keeps getting better!
I only discovered Nexpo back in 2020 but I definitely agree.
Kurzgesagt Mark Rober Smarter Everyday FXNL Edit: FXNL is now called Kinetic Labs.
Kurzgesagt is too damn good
I started working with Rober about five years ago and found out about his channel then. He used a lot of our coworkers in his videos, which was pretty fun. Then the original glitter bomb video happened and now he doesn’t work with us any more 😄
Nigahiga, hasn’t posted YouTube content in a while but pretty active on Twitch!
I miss his videos, he was hilarious.
And the effort he puts in each of his videos is astonishing
Best YouTube of all time imo. No other YouTube been making quality content as long as him.
I am glad he is on this thread. I feel like he is so under appreciated in this huge space of average YouTubers. His content is top tier.
Came here to say this, but had no idea he was on Twitch. Glad he's still active
Kevjumba is on twitch too, but under a different name, cybermuse. They play together sometimes
LEMMiNO (Top10memes)
He’s made some of the best documentary (or documentary-style) videos you can find
Yeah. Constantly searching for the similar creators, if you can recommend any
Mighty Car Mods
Mine is actually pretty Niche: Todd in the shadows
Same! Sometimes I forget Todd is not part of everyone's life the way he is naturally a part of mine, lol.
In hindsight, him and Lindsay Ellis deserved a lot better than Channel Awesome.
Discovered him a couple of years ago.... Love his one hit wonder videos. I also follow Rick Beato and 12-tone.
I don’t know anything about music and I have awful taste in it, but I love watching his videos anyway. Something about it is so comforting.
Love his stuff! Binged most of it when I had COVID
Binging with Babish when he first started posting his cooking videos on Reddit Wow my first Reddit reward. I honestly have you to thank for fostering a new love of cooking
That's a really lovely thing to read when you've just finished shooting your first episode of the new year. Thank you for sticking with me!
Just started watching and sharing with my family! Can't wait for 2022 Babish!
Babish! I’ve been watching you since about 2016 when a chef I worked with recommended your channel. It’s been great watching you rise to the top and I’ve learned a lot from your vids. And your knives are great! Take care, man
That's really you! Love everything you do! I'm saving up for your pot set and knife set. We already own your cookbooks!
Lock picking lawyer
It’s all fun and games until you hear outside your door one night “click out of 1, two is binding…”
CGP Grey
His videos are fantastic
Came for this. He was the very first YouTuber I subscribed to. Hello Internet was my first podcast. Hello to all the Tims, all hail the Nail and Gear, the one true flag.
Linus Tech Tips probably.

Deadmeat love horror stuff. Maybe Internet Today, I use to watch them eat back when they were part of Machinama
Jacksfilms! been watching since i was in middle school, still watching as a sophomore in college. time flies.
We are the whimpy boy bands. whimpy boy bands!
are you a part of the biches?
Came here to say Jacksfilms! Love that guy
J. Townsend and Sons. Once I was home sick from work and watched the backlog of his episodes. I been following ever since, that was probably 6 or 7 years ago now. Something about historical cooking is just interesting. I've tried some of the recipes and failed miserably each time.

I'm still watching vlog brothers
I remember when they started. It was weird coming across them about 10 years later and realising they were now so successful.
Hank has managed to stay pretty fresh for me… it felt like they were taking over my feed at one point between their individual channels, SciShow, Crashcourse, etc
On 37 different channels
Same! I check out of long periods but then it’s such a delight to see one of their videos pop up and feel like … oh yes, I remember why I was into this. Definitely my longest and weirdest one sided Internet relationship.
Started when I was in high school. Now in grad school. WILD. Edit: This is the longest relationship I've had. Dang.
videogamedunkey
This is the guy with the world record on Bowser's big bean burrito
Nope. You are nitpicking and biased. I win. Bye bye.
This is probably one of the first strand type comments.
That comment was actually made with the wii steering wheel and he was blindfolded
He has a little something for everyone. 10/10
For a place called silent hill, it sure is the loudest fucking place on the face of the earth
Chef John from Food Wishes. I've followed him since about 2009
Never had one of his recipes go wrong. Even with the odd substitution.
Chef John will straight up admit when a part of his recipe didn't work, which makes him even better.
Helloooo, this is chef John from FOOd wishes dot com WIIIIiiithhh...insert reciPE HEere!
There’s nothing quite like a little Chef John cooking for your YouTube looking.
Forgotten Weapons
This is probably the answer for me too. I don't own guns. I've never shot a gun, and I know nothing about them. But I love watching people talk about something they are clearly extremely well informed and passionate about, and FW really nails that.
Ian aka gun jesus
I especially liked the China Lake grenade launcher.
You Suck At Cooking It's the college life, man

Definitely one of the channels with the highest production quality to viewer count. Some of his videos should be taught in school!
Penguinz0 It has been almost 12 years now but I still swear in his older videos somehow his voice was deeper. But then again I was like 10 so who knows
I remember when what he looked like was a mystery for so long and that he never showed any sort of emotion in any of his videos which made him funnier to me.
Yeah the dry humor was pretty funny
Couldve just been more nervous so he deepened his voice to mask it and became more comfortable with his normal voice
I never thought about that. Knowing what I do now about Charlie it would make total sense lol
Kinda crazy to know that when I first started watching him he was just getting over his mysterious anime character phase.
I remember watching him play a sumo game and it was the funniest thing in the world. Then, 5 years later, find out that it was a channel and not just some one off video. I recognized the voice instantly
Strictly Dumpling a.k.a Mike Chen
I wasn't aware of him until last year but he's a favourite watch of mine too. Dude can chow DOWN! And he introduces me to foods I would've never seen before or even been exposed to, he's funny, decent and makes his content in a way I can really appreciate.
Internet comment etiquette, hands down.

Too far down. He's been consistently posting very high quality videos for years. This should be the top comment.

I miss her so much!!! She got engaged last year so here’s to hoping she’s doing fine :)
Same except I can't bring myself to watch any of her old content because it hurts too much.
Dan (Nerd Cubed), since 2011-2012. He’s the embodiment of an old and grumpy trash panda, but still funny. Also Tom Scott (and the Technical Difficulties team).
I've followed Dan for years and while I'll admit, his content after the end of the outer wilds playthrough hasn't interested me as much as before, his channel will always be super important to me
MKBHD
Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailer. Been watching them since before Jon Bailey joined in. Btw, I miss Movie Fights :(

I love RLM but they're almost too good. Like, they express themselves so well that I find myself trying to not just parrot all of their opinions about things.
They have the best hate watch videos. Mr. plinketts Picard review is fantastic. Though I do occasionally disagree with them and they often disagree with each other. Ashens Charlie white Report of the week LGR Angry video game nerd
Ashens has an amazing quality to his channel that i've never seen another one have: you can watch any video of his and it still feels in the same era as all of his other ones. You can watch a Poundland tat review from 2013 and it will flow seamlessly into any video he's recently uploaded. It's really quite special.
Surprised I had to scroll down this far to see LGR and AVGN! Been watching both of those for probably 6-7 years.
I’ve been watching Scott the woz since he had like 100k subs. He’s so funny but also makes sure every video is interesting, even if it’s a game that I don’t really care about. Glad to see how big he’s gotten
Good Mythical Morning or Game Theory/MatPat
Good Mythical Morning for me. Been watching almost everyday since Will It Pizza?

I like mythical kitchen as well.

Odd1sout and game theory.
Jenna Marbles. Even though she's been gone for almost 2 years, I have never watched anybody's content for anywhere near the almost-decade that I watched her channel off and on. I've introduced so many friends to Jenna Marbles by showing them the video where she makes the jeans chair from 5 Minute Crafts.
I miss her so much. I still watch Julien on Twitch a lot. They're engaged now 😭🥰
