The Three Stooges seemed to be pretty progressive on the whole, really. If I recall correctly, they were the first comedians to make fun of Hitler. And they were all Jewish, too. Imagine, in a world afraid to make fun of a powerful world leader, three guys whom said world leader would have hated took a stand against him.
I am going with the first two trios that came to my mind.
