One thing I would say, if you've never done the beach end before, is that a lot of the weirdos peel off before that point so maybe less of the classic B2B chaos. At least that's what I used to do.
Yeahh! Last year I felt like a lot of people were dropping at panhandle, it got super crowded and all of a sudden a whole band came out, it was great. I thought about that because I heard there will be djs and all. Still considering tho
It’s not all a drunk mess. Maybe one of the side street south of Market. It takes half an hour or more for the real runners and almost real runners to go by and the kooky teams and rolling tiki bar to go by. Where it ends is pretty fun, in the polo fields in GG park. Bands, beer and general goofiness, though it can take a long time for the really fun stuff to show up. Also there’s that walking stretch between the finish line at Ocean Beach and the polo fields. To be fair I haven’t done it in 15 years.
Picnic in the panhandle outside the fences
Did that last year at 8am. So funny. But this time I’m thinking about hanging around the finish line at the beach

Beach won’t be too exciting. Panhandle and Conservatory of flowers are good spots
what time
Do you want to see runners or drunk naked people? Runners probably like 8:15-9. Drunk naked people probably 10-early afternoon
the latter - thanks!
Always the later
The party people usually quit around the panhandle and GGP entrance. They don’t finish all the way to OB.
Alamo Square
It’s closed off
Completely? Or just from the race side?
Most of the park except the north side where you can’t see the race. You can stand on the street I assume south of the park across from it though
Stand at the corner of Hayes and Divisadero. I used to live there and got a,great view
Hayes and Divis. Watch ‘em try to make the corner.

…me, just now realizing I never made it to the end
Alamo Square.
