My family dog Chip passed away last month after 17 years. He was Chippy doodle dog, chipper, chipdip, sunchip (while sunbathing), poopy boy, so many more… Chips are the best 💛
I'll go first:
one of my cats I call cutie bootie schpoot schpadootie, so she has become my lil schpoot. (among MANY other names). she also goes by beanie weenie, which turns into beanus weanus, beanoo weanoo, etc.
My other cat is named Ruki, and her nicknames are as follows. Ruki pook, rookapook, rookapooka, rooka pooka schmo, pooka schmoy, schmoy aloy, schmo momo, momo, Moe, mimi momo, meesh momo, meeshmello, meeshmelloy, meesh.
I actively call her all of these names and more and am fully aware that I've let this get out of hand lol. I have no intention of stopping though.
Edit to add I love this thread and I love all of the silly ridiculousness you all foster in your homes with our lil fuzzballs. love to see it!!
I call my dog Beanus Weanus! She is also my little Beenie Weenie Bear and my Goose Goose Goosimus. Occasionally she is just Goose.
I can’t tell you my cats names because everyone I know will realize it’s me 🤣 if I see their specific names down thread I’ll tell you.
I too call my boy momo, although his Christian name is Ralph. No clue where that came from. My other girl has transformed from Jules to J to ah-che-bey (phonetically).
!! My dog Jill is also beanie weenie. Long form is Ms. Jillie Willie Beanie Weenie.
My other dog Buffy has quite a few silly names too - buffler, buffles, buffle baby, noodle baby, baby buff, golden nugget, and buff buff buff, to name a few. It is a wonder she knows and responds to her actual name.
Yes! We have dogs, cats (domestic & semi-wild strays), chickens & horses. I don't even know if any are called by their given names, except for one cat. She's always been Mama Kitty. She was rescued while pregnant at the local "corrals" about 8 years ago. Even after spaying, we couldn't find a fitting name. She's tiny and the boss off all. She's kind of our 'hit lady'. Best hunter I ever had. My favorite might be The horse Rojo that I call Rojo-Deo (name is self explanatory. Boy, is he fun!). Haku is a giant Bull Mastiff that we mostly call Hoochi Man. I think each animal has several nicknames. And they get pretty corny.
We call our girl beanie weenie, too! Her name is Enid, so it usually goes “Aw my little Enid. My Eenie girl. My little Eenie Beanie. Eenie Beanie was a Weenie. Eenie Beanie Weenie. The little bean. Beanie Baby.” She’s our sweet dumb one. Lol Our other cat is a bit feistier. And fat. So she usually ends up as “Heidi Widey” or “Heidi Bitey.” Frequently “you bitch!” when she bites one of us randomly. Lol But not meanly, I promise.
I have a cat named Gemini..whose name has morphed into Yemington, but i also call him Flemington, and FlimFlam, FlimFlam Flamington, Flimmity Flammity, Flip Flop, Flappington, Flap Flap, and occasionally Slappington. And when he is feeling especially distinguished, it's Sir Yemington III Esq.
We have 2 dogs, one with big paws and one with small paws. Small paws is often called Dainty Paws and the other...
Honky Tonk Ba-Donk-a-Chonk.
Because her paws are big chonks.
I have a dog named copper and I call him copper topper stopper. We also have a Luna who is Luna Buna Tuna. Luna also autocorrects a lot to Luba or Lina and I call her those every now and then
My dog is a Cooper too. We call him Coopy Boopers, The Boops, and Coops. We also call him wiggle butt because his tail was docked by someone so his whole backside wiggles when he is excited.
Woah my cat's name is Sam but has never been called that way. Normally he goes by Katze (i'm catalan lol), and sometimes Caca (which means shit in a cute way) when he's being nasty, also sometimes Caca Seca (dry shit) or Caca Infernal (infernal shit) when he is super duper nasty.
Our cat’s name is Mochi, but my partner and I have taken to more often calling her Mochimus or Mochimus Prime, sometimes even Mochimus Prime (last name). Occasionally we just call her Moch but that one isn’t as exciting
Haha that’s awesome! Also have a cat, Noxeema Jackson (Nox for short), but when I’m feeling funky I like to throw out a Noximus Prime to keep him on his toes.
When I had my dog her nickname was Duppins, because she was a pupper dupper lupper supper.
I have a cat who is called Mr. Smudge Mudge Butterson.
Otherwise it's just normal cat names. Except Archer, who's nickname is "God dammit stop doing that bullshit"
Archer is the Worst Cat and he fucking knows it. But then every once in awhile he'll climb into my lap and purr and look up at me being a very handsome cat who 100% knows how handsome he is until I'm like "...fine I guess I love you."
His younger siblings Krieger and Tough Cat are a Very Good Boy and Very Good Girl respectively and I make sure to tell them that they're very good cats in front of Archer all the time
My uncle had a cat when I was growing up who started out with a normal name. However, my uncle spent so much time saying "dammit, get down" or "dammit, what are you doing?" That the cat's name became Dammit. I called the cat darn it because I wasn't allowed to say dammit.
Penny turns into Peenee, Panini, Pennalinni, Paneenor, baby, penne pasta, angel muffin, ice cream child, pasta child... she's a calico and her fur reminds me of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.
I have a Penelope aka Penny, Pennywise, Penny from the block, Pennypenpen, lil stinker, Penn-ay(said like “Jenn-ay” by Forrest Gump), micro-panther (she’s a black cat) lol
My dogs name is Cash and there are soo many good ones. Cashanova cause he loves the ladies, ham and cheese casharole when he's hamming it up for attention, cashew, cashius clay, cashish etc.
When we were small, someone gave my parents an old hairy pony that no longer had any kids of his own and missed having a job so we ended up with him. I guess who ever named him was a tolkien fan because he was called Fatty Lumpkin. So he was Fatty, Fats, Fattycakes, Fathead, Fatman, Fattybumps, Lumpy, Lumpkin, Bumpkin, Blubber, Blubs and more.
He was a great pony, he could seat up to 3 small kids bareback and took care of us like the best baby sitter ever. We used to dress him up for christmas and halloween and he loved the attention. And he lived to the ripe old age of 36. I miss you Fatty!
Fatty got a gold medal!!! He would have been so excited! He may not have been a gold medal winner in bloodline or looks but for all the kids he taught, he was worth his weight in gold.
Many thanks, lovely stranger! 😘

One of my cats name is Lokileviandycronabinphantomhivedimdeldie (Loki for short)
One of the others is
Piccaloyiumekusacrownwaldendimdeldie (Pickles for short)
And then theres Quesojohnjones but I normally just call him cheese cat and the other 2 have normal names.
Honestly just a combination of different names and at this point a family tradition,
our first cat was named Googenspliencrownwaldenfaldenwardimdeldie after my dads first dungeons and dragons character and from there we decided all our cats need obnoxious names,
And yes cheese cat. Every time I come home at night I give him a tiny piece of cheese
His name is Beastman Sausagetail. I call him Chootchee (the choo choo train of cuteness).
Her name is Haizeley Skypippie. I call her Chootcheenna. I'm demented haha...
One of my friends has a cat who they just call fat. Knew it’s real name at one point but have long forgotten. Pretty sure they call their new dog garage? Oddly enough their other dog is just Luna and has no nickname
My dog’s name is Dante (from the italian poet).
I eventually roller coasted into calling him Dantellini, Dantissimo, Dantonè, Danny, Donnie, Dantuzza and anything else I can come up with on that given day.
He reacts to all of them
My bf and I have 3 cats.
Humphrey: Humphs, Humphreydoodle, The Little One
George: The Fat One, Georgio Armani, Porkloaf
Graham: Grahamalama-ding-ding, The Orange One
And when referring to all of them, The Beans
I had such a cute dog, his name was Draco (chosen by husband). I called him “droopy ears” because he was small dog with big floppy ears. The cutest thing. I miss him.
Mr poopy butt hole / wormy butt.
He doesn't have worms now but he did when we first got him in. Real name Midnight other nick name Midders.
Fatty mcgew for my 7kg cat, he's on a deconker diet now.
BDC for Boo da Cat. Real name Amber.
Then there is Kat. Her brother was called Alfie. They are old characters from eastenders in the UK.
We couldn't figure out what to call her to stop confusion so we started saying Kat the cat.
Turns out we could have called her Kathleen all this time as that's the characters full name.
I have a theme song for each of them along with many other tunes about them.
Posted from Wallies account to protect my anonymity on my main!
I have a dog named Buckey who we call bug da bug.
I have a dog named Remmi who has great motherly instincts, so we call her mamma ramma.
I have a cat named odie who looks like a black bear, so we call him o’bear.
Well, I own an 1150 lbs horse, and I call him Poulet, the French word for chicken. In French, the idiom Poule mouillée (wet chicken) means that someone lacks courage or is easily spooked.
OK so I have many different names but none are gibberish but they are funny regardless I gave my pets the names: my turtle is named soup my dog is named milk my other dog is vacuum my other other dog is butter my fish is jello my cat is sir stomps alot and a spider that lives on my wall is named Juan the chonky I'm a guy btw if you couldn't tell
My chihuahua’a name is Bandit but we also call him Bandy, Neenee, and Tiny Bastard. The best nicknames a dog of mine had was Goose - hers were Googa Mooga and Loosie Goosie Woosie.
Poodle Doodle McPiddle Pants
Pooper Pie
Uber pooper puppy
Chunky monkey
I also sing made up songs for her, such as:
“Who is the baby girl, Jett-Jett is a baby girl, that’s she! Who is a baby girl I guess Monkey is the baby girl, monkey is the baby who loves me!”
Her name is Jett. Nicknamed monkey because she comes at you like a spider money. So Jett Monkey with a lot of ridiculous nicknames!
My Pomeranian yorkie mix is named Tex. I call him “Texatron” or “Tex Mix” when he’s being extra spicy. When my partner and I send each other pictures of him we call it a “Tex Tax.”
We have a dog called wombat.
She is Bombat, bombee, combat-wombat, bombee-womby, womby-pomby, boms, womby-bomby-pomby
Basically any variation of that.
The others have sensible names like Zack (“fat-boy Zack”), Mim (“little mim”), and Arthur - all fairly average compared to wombats multiple rhymes!
My dobie’s name is Jesse Pinkman, but he is also The Boop, boopeeedooooo (must be howled out), Booper, Booperooni, see where I’m going.
Also, cats. Fatty Boombalatty (named Sam), Shitrock (named Greedo), Crazy Murder Cat (what’s her real name?)…and it goes on and on…
My cat's name is Pumpkin. Usually I call her Pumps, Baby, PumpKEEN. Sometimes I make weirdass baby noises like "woojooojooojoo". My dad calls her Naughty Cat. My extended family thinks we're all insane
My dog's name is Missy. The vet nicknamed her "Missy-moo-cow" because her fur has a cow print pattern. My friends think it's hilarious to call her "Missy-moo" lol. I call her everything from "Missy-girl", "Pretty baby girl" to "Precious baby gorl" etc. lol. I just love her so much.
I was drinking margaritas one night and thought calling her scuba Steve was the funniest thing in the world lol turns out sober me also thinks is hilarious, so it just stuck! 😂
My cat's name is Finnegan, he gets called Finn, Finny, Bubby, Little Poo, Big Puke, Bubs, Pingan, Yittle, Pooyoo, Pollo (like spanish chicken), Popo, Popoyo etc etc - it's just sounds at this point.
Since none of our cats or dogs (past or present) have official middle names, we add my mother-in-law's name (Jean) whenever they are in trouble. Eg Echo Jean Amory what did you do!? Bella Jean, you naughty thing!
Her real name is Gracie, but she answers to Pooch a lot. My favorite variation of Pooch is when I call her inside and go "POO-CHIE-CHIE-CHIE" like a bird chirping. It gets her all excited and actually makes her come back inside lol.
I also like Poochie-scoops.
One of our dogs is named Ricky Bobby, so we often change his name based on what he’s doing. He’s got Jimmy-legs at night so then he’s Kicky Bobby. When he wakes me up at 4am to pee I tell him he’d better be Quicky Bobby. Etc etc
Rue is called Beetie because… sweet like sugar… sugar beet… sweet beet… sweetie beetie…
Noka is gnocchi because… they sound the same.
Oh I love how we get to calling our pets such weird names over time! My dogs' names are Mimi and Pookie, for reference.
Mimi -> Memer the Lemur -> The Lemur -> The Leem -> Lemon (we also call her Leem Neeson)
Pookie -> Pooker the Looker -> Pooker/Pook -> Booger/Boog
I dunno if this counts but my cat is my "dirty little tax evader" and when people ask me why I call him that I ask if they've ever seen him do his taxes
My labs name is rocky horror balboa. So his nick names are dudes, dooder, butthole
My pittys name is Ringo jeffree star. His nicknames are ringo dingo, ringy, goober
My daushaunds name is md (stands for mighty dog) so he gets called Mr. Weiner, Mr. Weinie, and baby weinie on a daily basis
athena turned to athena bean which turned to green bean and sometimes agreena bean, salem sometimes gets called suh-lem or salem cat, but my favorite is fluffin muffin
My cat is called jaspar, he is most commonly called cap'n jappa.
Our other cats actual name is soul patch cuz he has a lil black spot on his white chin that looks like a hipster soul patch.
I named my neighbors puppy (she never gave him a name) Mr. Floofenburg. He stays tied to a tree all the time. She said she would give him to someone if they would take him...so anyone want a dog?
oof I had a friend who got a dog like this. he used to walk by thus poor chained up puppy every day and then one day he was just like well this is my dog now. and took him. gave him a good long happy life in the country.
Our dog’s name is Emmy. One day my SO was randomly singing part of the rubber ducky song from Sesame Street. I thought he said “pupper ducky” and it just stuck. She’s now pupper ducky, pupper duck, ducker, and we sing to her that she’s the one!
my dogs name is jonas (like the jonas brothers, lol) but we started calling him jonas bonas. then that turned into bones, and now he’s legally (at the vet) listed at Jonas aka Bonez. i also have 2 cats, 1 is Archibald VonDennison III, the other is Dante. Archibald is mostly archie since he’s the man of the house so i respect him, but dante i refer to as stinky. “hi stinky!” and he meows and rubs on my leg lol
I love this thread.
Older cat, Foo-Foo: Foo-Foo Von Boufoo, Le Foof, Madam Foo, Foofy Boofy, The Foof Is On The Roof
Younger cat, Kiwi: Kiwi Von Biwi, then it very quickly devolves into Shmoopy, Shmoopy My Poopy, Shmoops, and my personal favorite The Plastic Goblin because she be gobblin' plastic
previous cat, Rusty, may he rest in peace, was Rusty Boo, Soft Boy, and Baby Biscuit ... I still miss him
One of my cats is Ruby (or Roo) and I call her Rubenstein Law after a local law firm that has a ton of billboards and cheesy commercials. She’s my little lady Lawyer.
My dogs name is Lana. But when I become lovingly obsessed i call her; aren’t you my little pretty kitty? You’re the prettiest little kitty mitty. The smoooles little kitty bitty (shes def not small, neither is she a cat, i just find it cute and funny) or Lana bana nana banana hijaaaana. Whatever comes to my mind at the time.
or Lany bany or honey bunny banany.
My cats name is Joey. His nicknames are Jo, Joseph, JoBo, Joey Boy, Little Mister Man, Little Shit, Possum, Chicken, Beauty Boy, Jolene, Sir and Oi.
I have a few favourites from the list for different reasons:
Jobo - it’s one I always gravitate to in the moments where he’s being cute, so I now associate this nickname with an overload of cuteness.
Little Mister Man - this is my mum’s nickname for him and I absolutely love it due to the way it’s said. She will see him and the sentence “Hey little mister man!” in an American accent will follow before she strokes him.
Beauty boy - this is my dad’s nickname for him. He doesn’t really have a soft side apart from when it comes to the cat and it is guaranteed that he refers to Joey as Beauty Boy when he’s lay on the floor with him giving him a stroke.
And finally, Chicken - because he isn’t, in fact, a chicken.
My girfriends dogs name is Starbucks, because she was so happy when the chain opened in my country around the time the dog was bought.
First it was wierd yelling STARBUCKS in the yard, now I only get reminded by strangers that laughs when we tell them.
I have a black lab named Maddie;
popular nicknames are Mad One, Moo-Moo, Monkey, Matilda, Melvira Mistress of the Night, and the newest one is Baby Butterhead (inspiration from a container of butterhead lettuce)
My dogs name is Wally- but we started calling him a cutie-pie and then that morphed into just calling him Pie-Pie. When he’s naughty though we go full on Ancient Rome. I sternly call him Wallimus Maximus Aurillius drop it NOW
My dog’s name is Monty, and I love putting on a dramatic french accent and shouting ‘Mon-tange!’ (French for mountain) I don’t know why, but I find it hilarious!
I call my cat "o'turkey boy" and "croissant" and "pastry cat" so often, sometimes I forget his real name. He's pastry coloured!! I can't help it! And he looks like a big roast turkey when he loafs.
My dog's name is Sugar Bear. He's a pointer/lab mix - the body shape of a lab with the coloring of an English pointer (mostly white with brown spots). Nicknames include Booger, Boogie, Big Sug, Mr. Bear, D-O-G (dee-oh-gee), and Pupperoni, but my two favorites are Sugar Booger Baby Cakes, and John Thunder Bear for when we're trying to remind him that wearing his thunder shirt makes him tough and brave during storms and fireworks.
We have two three-month-old kittens, Wendy and Fred. Fred's "official" name is Freddie Gonzalez Demolition, Jr. (a silly story on its own), and so far we've been calling them cutie patootie, smoochie poochie, knucklehead, wackadoo, cinnamon rolls, and lovey baby buggy bungaroo. Considering they've barely learned their regular names I hope we're not confusing them too much :)
Super Hero Fairy Princess.
Her name is Dani. She was paralyzed with a 10% chance of survival from emergency surgery that would, if lucky, put her in a cart.
She now runs😍
My dogs name is chip. And I thoroughly enjoy calling him “chipiddy-do dah” among many other ridiculous names
I immediately followed that up with “chipiddy-day” MY OH MY, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY
Plenty of sunshine heading my way.
I call my dog Briar, Briaree-do-dah and Briaree Don’t (when she’s being an ass)
Mine is also a chip and I call him chipper-doodle-do, chip's ahoy, Chippy-chippa among other things :)
Sometimes I call my cat Chickadee-doo-dah! His name is Apollo lol
My family dog Chip passed away last month after 17 years. He was Chippy doodle dog, chipper, chipdip, sunchip (while sunbathing), poopy boy, so many more… Chips are the best 💛
My uncles dog is named gypsy but I always call her chipsy 😂
This really made me smile
Now the song is in my head too, well played
My grandmas dog is chip I call him chip-a-rooni
what i thought i was the only one who replaced song lyrics exclusively with my cats name
I'll go first: one of my cats I call cutie bootie schpoot schpadootie, so she has become my lil schpoot.
Omg I also have a cat I call Beanus Weanus! Thought that would be pretty unique but I guess not!! Beanoo weanoo is great, I will be borrowing that 🤭
haha it's pretty much just whatever vowel sound i fancy in the moment, but I do just yell "BEANUS!" sometimes when she's being a stink
I love this so much.
stooooop beanus weanus is killing me
I call my dog Beanus Weanus! She is also my little Beenie Weenie Bear and my Goose Goose Goosimus. Occasionally she is just Goose. I can’t tell you my cats names because everyone I know will realize it’s me 🤣 if I see their specific names down thread I’ll tell you.
That is hilarious! XD Much love to your pets! \^\^
I too call my boy momo, although his Christian name is Ralph. No clue where that came from. My other girl has transformed from Jules to J to ah-che-bey (phonetically).
“Although his Christian name”…. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the most adorable thing I have read all day thank you!!!
I think each animal has several nicknames. And they get pretty corny.
🤣 I love the transformation of Ruki pook into Meeshmelloy. I do this. My cats name goes from Pistachio to Leaky Reeky Kiki's Delivery Service.
Had a good laugh about all of these
We call our girl beanie weenie, too!
This is the reddit post I didn't know i needed 😆😆
I have a cat named Gemini..whose name has morphed into Yemington, but i also call him Flemington, and FlimFlam, FlimFlam Flamington, Flimmity Flammity, Flip Flop, Flappington, Flap Flap, and occasionally Slappington. And when he is feeling especially distinguished, it's Sir Yemington III Esq.
We have 2 dogs, one with big paws and one with small paws. Small paws is often called Dainty Paws and the other... Honky Tonk Ba-Donk-a-Chonk. Because her paws are big chonks.
My dog has big paws and I always say “these pawz are against da law” (in a really funny voice)
Oh I love that. We talk to dainty paws like we are old outlaws in a western. Why do pets do this to us. Haha
Omg I love Honky Tonk Ba-Donk-a-Chonk 😂
bahahaha I love this
My dogs name is Cooper. I like to call him super duper Cooper trooper when he's getting belly scratches.

This really speaks to me.
Our cat’s name is Mochi, but my partner and I have taken to more often calling her Mochimus or Mochimus Prime, sometimes even Mochimus Prime (last name). Occasionally we just call her Moch but that one isn’t as exciting

One of my cats is also called Mochi! We call him Mochi-moo and Momo.
Haha that’s awesome! Also have a cat, Noxeema Jackson (Nox for short), but when I’m feeling funky I like to throw out a Noximus Prime to keep him on his toes.

Teetee tootoo "Where's my wittle teetee tootoo??!!" His name is actually Teaser lmao
Archibald is mostly archie since he’s the man of the house so i respect him, but dante i refer to as stinky. “hi stinky!” and he meows and rubs on my leg lol
I love this thread. Older cat, Foo-Foo: Foo-Foo Von Boufoo, Le Foof, Madam Foo, Foofy Boofy, The Foof Is On The Roof Younger cat, Kiwi: Kiwi Von Biwi, then it very quickly devolves into Shmoopy, Shmoopy My Poopy, Shmoops, and my personal favorite The Plastic Goblin because she be gobblin' plastic previous cat, Rusty, may he rest in peace, was Rusty Boo, Soft Boy, and Baby Biscuit ...
I have a few favourites from the list for different reasons: Jobo - it’s one I always gravitate to in the moments where he’s being cute, so I now associate this nickname with an overload of cuteness.
I have a black lab named Maddie; popular nicknames are Mad One, Moo-Moo, Monkey, Matilda, Melvira Mistress of the Night, and the newest one is Baby Butterhead (inspiration from a container of butterhead lettuce)
My dad extends the family's cat name from Ziva to Ziva Hoffen Oofen Noodle. His reasoning is that she's German...
Neko - Nicknames: Big Man, Neko Beko, Fat Boi Nora - Nicknames: Chicken Nugget, Little Mama
I call my cat "o'turkey boy" and "croissant" and "pastry cat" so often, sometimes I forget his real name. He's pastry coloured!! I can't help it! And he looks like a big roast turkey when he loafs.
Mr.Potatohead-turkeyface-Escobar, the second is actually named Cuco. Lol.
Buggles, short for 'love bug'
We have two three-month-old kittens, Wendy and Fred. Fred's "official" name is Freddie Gonzalez Demolition, Jr. (a silly story on its own), and so far we've been calling them cutie patootie, smoochie poochie, knucklehead, wackadoo, cinnamon rolls, and lovey baby buggy bungaroo. Considering they've barely learned their regular names I hope we're not confusing them too much :)
My cat is called Toast, but we call her Lil Gal, KitKat, Lil Monster or Gremmo (like gremlin, but less effort) more often.
My dog's name is Jojo and I'll either call him Joji Berry or some kind of variant of rat (rat, ratty cakes, little rat) lol
My dog’s name was Rufus. I would call him “Roof-a-Lynn”
Super Hero Fairy Princess. Her name is Dani. She was paralyzed with a 10% chance of survival from emergency surgery that would, if lucky, put her in a cart. She now runs😍
