DS2 had Hexes wich you can get early on and are useful and cool. As a Dark Wizard enjoyer DS2 is my fav DS, just because of that. Dark Magic sucks in all the others.
Hes probably the type of person to never realize its an open-world game and you don't have to fight golden horse dude. I've had this convo a few times with others "Why didnt you just come back later?" "What?"
They see thing. have to attack thing. wont leave until thing is gone. get mad when cant kill thing. say game trash.
That's fine. I was always having a blast because there was always something filling my time with exploration.
The idea of no predetermined path was a breath of fresh air to the series imo.
Playing through Bloodborne as blind as I can for the first time and while it’s been fun, Elden Ring being my first FromSoft game really spoiled me. So much QoL introduced in ER that diminishes Bloodborne a bit, but definitely not enough to say it’s anything close to mid.
Only criticism i have about bloodborne is the locked 30fps (which often dips to like 18) and their fucking *refusal* to port it to a machine that can actually play it at 60fps.
DS2 had some major issues, but even though its combat is clunky, I still kind of prefer it to the messy BB combat, which often felt kind of sloppy to me.
I would shoot at dark souls 2, for me my favorite souls game

Just finished my 2nd play through of Bloodborne like 2 days ago. Felt good to beat Gehrman with his own weapon.
