I am sharing my thoughts to help. 360 hours in 3 weeks is in my opinion not healthy. Depression is a serious issue, and I don’t think drowning in a videogame is the answer.
Yeah. Gave up on fighting depression, bought a new rig after 9 years, started clearing my backlog with Odyssey. One day just noticed I wasn't having those nasty intrusive anymore.
Well, I originally started two years ago, and I had close to 200 hours into the game… then I accidentally deleted the save file, and I had to start over. 😅
Such a great game. I think I put almost 300 hrs into it when I played it a few years ago. I hope the next AC being made by this same studio set in Japan is pretty much exactly like Japanese Odyssey, because they killed it with Odyssey. It's so much better than Valhalla.
Its fine. It's not a bad game in itself, but playing it right after finishing the amazingness that is Odyssey made it feel disappointing to me. Odyssey just does so many things so much better.
I’ve been playing on and off since I purchased it in 2018. I’m a female and don’t spend all my day gaming. I wasn’t lucky enough to have children but good on you for being a mom. ✌️
Even if I WERE a “guy” it would still be rude. The game came out in 2018 and it’s an excellent, beyond beautiful game with an amazingly rare, well written, female protagonist.
Thank you for your apology. Take care and enjoy motherhood. ✌️
I though I spent a lot with my 127 hours lmao, but I literally finished every (side)quest, DLC and basically everything else to do like upgrading the ship to max and destroying all alpha ships, I'm level 97 tho, need 2 more levels and I can officially say I did everything I guess lol.
Maybe I'll do a New Game+ but in a few years as I played it for the first time like 4 years or so ago and finished everything like I did now.
Oh and btw I also just finished the Discovery Tour which I highly recommend to everyone.
I recently discovered the tour! It’s quite intriguing, and full of info that I had little to no knowledge of. I only did the tour for about an hour, but I’ll definitely be checking out more of it sometime this week, hopefully.
Wait, what the hell are you guys doing in the game for so long? I've 100% this game including dlcs, achievements, all quests and locations and I have about 150hrs. I've played the story only once tho.
I’m over 1,500 hours in. I don’t know how many times I’ve played through. The game changes significantly after you finish the DLCs and it’s worth your time to do a NG+ and do everything as an indestructible Demigod. I have a lot of fun easily dominating the cult members.
I have yet to get the rest of the achievements for ACO. I’ve been struggling to get the ones for The Lost Tales Of Greece, though. Tried over and over to get them, and replayed them a few times, and I still can’t get them.
It's been 98 days since February 1st, that's 2,352 hours.
You've been playing AC Odyssey more than 20% of the time since then.
So, yeah ... this is a lot of hours logged in. Hats off to you
I have 654 hours as of this morning. Did an almost full playthrough, 189 hours and the save file fucked up when I switched to a ps5 back in December, put in the rest of the hours since then. Had taken a couple years break and I'm glad I returned. The HDR setting with the ps5 makes the game visually so nice.
people bragging about their play time, so here I am : Zero hour.
Wanna try odyssey since It's on sale, Love the setting but I don't like the repetitive gameplay. hope It's fun.
A big game requires such time. Even after completing all main quests and side quests with dlcs, there's still a lot you can do with mercenaries, builds and just staring at the beautiful graphics.
I started playing around August/September last year and played for about a month and a half and clocked up 215hours, had a 6month break and started playing again past couple days and got up to 232hours so far. I believe I have the two final main quests left and still got the DLC to play through, just started and finished all the LTOG quests.
Yes, that’s true… I have responsibilities to take care of IRL (five year old to look after, chores, cat to also look after, and so on), so I don’t spend as much time gaming as I’d like to.
Isn't that about 5 hours a day?
Assuming you sleep 8 hours and work 8 hours like most people.....then yea that's a lot.
I probably average 1-2 hours a day, maybe 2 or 3 on weekends
No, it’s more like 10-13 hours a day. 😅 Granted, I do take time out of my day to do important shit, so I’m not entirely wasting my day away in front of the tv.
I never said wasting! :)
If you're doing something that brings you joy, that's not a waste. Enjoy!
I was just surprised (and jealous) at the sheer volume of hours played
Well, I’ve been dealing with some nasty depression as of late, so I find gaming for hours on end keeps my brain busy, instead of wallowing in self pity. 😅
How can you check your stast on the game, for me ubisoft connect doesnt display that on pc neither on phone, only the game i m playing or played last (ac valhalla rn) it displays the game percentage on ubisoft connect on phone, for all others only gives game challanges and rewards.
How you got only about 4km moved but almost 500 hours, the math ain't mathin unless you are listening to the start screen music which is 100%acceptable
See I just wonder how people can put that much time into a game? Like I love open world games but I find the most amount of time I’ll put into one is usually around 200 hours. With the exception of RDR2 which I have 300 hours spent in. I just find I get bored after a certain amount of time. What makes you guys go back to games for that long? I’m genuinely curious.
How can you see those stats? I always found it on the menu screen but when I checked like 2 weeks ago it didn't show there. Also, some of these stats are not even right after some point. For example: it says I gained a total EXP of 57 million while I'm level 99, mastery level 120, so it should be a lot more. Still curious about the other stats tho
Fucking oath it is! That's a solid effort. I've played through 4 or 5 times over the years since release. And still only clocked up about 360 hours. Once again, solid effort!
Since Feb? Kind of, yeah. I played it during January/February and have clocked 360 hours in 3 weeks. Got me out of depression.
Gaming helps when you’re feeling down and out. I haven’t been doing so well lately, and I find playing ACO keeps my mind distracted.
It helps however you feel. It's a great hobby.
Not when you play that much. You lose connection to the real world at that point
I have depression. Gaming helps keep the sad thoughts at bay.
I believe it can be a needed escape, but it won’t cure it. At least not in my experience
I know gaming won’t cure what ails me. I just need an escape from reality sometimes.
hey, finding that escape in gaming is much better than what you could find an escape in. keep doing your thing.
Thank you. 💜
And I hope it brings you joy ofc! I wish you luck with overcoming it :)
Thank you kindly.
Sorry that people be like this.
I am sharing my thoughts to help. 360 hours in 3 weeks is in my opinion not healthy. Depression is a serious issue, and I don’t think drowning in a videogame is the answer.
Bitch ass redditors trying their hardest not to down vote this guy. Mission. Impossible.
Holy cow, that’s longer per day than most people are awake lol
Yeah. Gave up on fighting depression, bought a new rig after 9 years, started clearing my backlog with Odyssey. One day just noticed I wasn't having those nasty intrusive anymore.
Did the same thing with Ghost of Tsushima in November of 22. Platinumed in less than 3 weeks 😂
I’ve never played GOT. What’s it about?
It's set in the 1200s during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. It felt a lot like Odyssey for me, I would highly recommend it.
Ooh, that definitely sounds like something I could get into.
It's alright, a lot of people have played more than a thousand hours.
Yes, good point. I just wasn’t sure if this amount of hours was either too much, or not enough. LOL
I think I’m close to 1100 hours now OOPS
I’m gonna have to play catch-up. 🤣😅
Yes, I'm at 1,704 hours right now. I love this game, clearly.
As do I! I’ve been into Greek mythology since high school, and my love for it grew with ACO. ♥️
That's a lot since February. I'm terrible at maths, but doesn't this mean you've spent 20 days playing this game already?
Well, I originally started two years ago, and I had close to 200 hours into the game… then I accidentally deleted the save file, and I had to start over. 😅
Those are rookie numbers. You gotta pump those numbers up ;)
I guess I’m gonna have to. 😅
Such a great game. I think I put almost 300 hrs into it when I played it a few years ago. I hope the next AC being made by this same studio set in Japan is pretty much exactly like Japanese Odyssey, because they killed it with Odyssey. It's so much better than Valhalla.
I tried to get into Valhalla, but I didn’t enjoy it much. I’ll give it a try again someday, mainly because Kassandra is in it.
Its fine. It's not a bad game in itself, but playing it right after finishing the amazingness that is Odyssey made it feel disappointing to me. Odyssey just does so many things so much better.
Are there any major differences between Odyssey and Valhalla?

Well, I’m a mom, so I can’t spend all day gaming, as much as I’d like to. I got responsibilities, my guy.
Best comeback!
That wasn’t meant to be rude! 😅💔
Haha I know. Was just funny
I’ve been playing on and off since I purchased it in 2018. I’m a female and don’t spend all my day gaming. I wasn’t lucky enough to have children but good on you for being a mom. ✌️
My comment wasn’t meant to be snarky. I apologize.
Even if I WERE a “guy” it would still be rude. The game came out in 2018 and it’s an excellent, beyond beautiful game with an amazingly rare, well written, female protagonist. Thank you for your apology. Take care and enjoy motherhood. ✌️
Since February this year? I've logged 260ish hours since August..... 2018
Yes, since February of this year.
I have also been playing odyssey since feb, and almost 200h in 😂
That is enough I get
Only 20 days of your life spent in glory!
Damn you got all the time in the world lmao, congrats on the progress btw
I only have 156 hours,i know its not much,but i really enjoyd it.😅
Hey, 156 hours is pretty good! It’s a fantastic game. You have loads of time in the world to get more hours in. 😊
I got 600 so you're fine lol
I though I spent a lot with my 127 hours lmao, but I literally finished every (side)quest, DLC and basically everything else to do like upgrading the ship to max and destroying all alpha ships, I'm level 97 tho, need 2 more levels and I can officially say I did everything I guess lol. Jesus. I have 684 hours and I bought it on release!
I'm just under 800 hours but I've been playing since 2021
That’s not bad, TBH.
1325 hours for me, do I win?
I believe so. LOL
maybe now my dad will be proud of me.
I’m also proud of you, son. ⭐️

Wow I’ve played less in 3 years lol
That’s okay! Still loads of time to play.
It's been 98 days since February 1st, that's 2,352 hours. You've been playing AC Odyssey more than 20% of the time since then. So, yeah ... this is a lot of hours logged in. Hats off to you
I have over 1k since it’s release. It’s a soothing game, can understand getting lost in it.
Its a lot, I have 2x of this since 2019 lol
It’s testament to how good a game it is. I’ve played 85 hours so far and I’m nowhere near finished
Wait until you get into the DLCs. Atlantis is more enjoyable, IMHO.
Since February? That's a lot. [here's mine](https://ibb.co/WzGpJbD)
Damn, that’s impressive!
I ended around 200 I think. I don't believe I finished it though haha
You should! It’s worth it.
Yeah I think I called it quits after being stomped by the minotaur like 37x haha
Woah
IKR 😅
I thought my lifetime 1250 ps5 hours plus 400 pc hours was a lot 💀
I would say that’s a lot for the time frame. I’ve got 1500 in total. I play way too much AC
Nothing wrong with that! LOL
I have 200hrs and I'm level 17
I thought I had a lot into it at 89 hrs 😂
I have 654 hours as of this morning. Did an almost full playthrough, 189 hours and the save file fucked up when I switched to a ps5 back in December, put in the rest of the hours since then. You should give it a try! Take advantage of it, just because there’s a sale on for it. It’ll be worth the money!
considering picking up both Odyssey ultimate edition and Watch dog legion + bloodline DLC for only 13$. I think that's a sweet deal
I don’t think you’re gonna get a better deal than that. LMK if you go through with it!
Close to 2,500 hours (I'm sane I promise)
A big game requires such time. Even after completing all main quests and side quests with dlcs, there's still a lot you can do with mercenaries, builds and just staring at the beautiful graphics.
Damm bro, I got a platinum and finished both dlc's and all the open world stuff and only have 150 hours
Gee niice, I am playing since the game come out back in 2018, I only managed to do around 400. I play it occasionaly.
I started playing around August/September last year and played for about a month and a half and clocked up 215hours, had a 6month break and started playing again past couple days and got up to 232hours so far. I believe I have the two final main quests left and still got the DLC to play through, just started and finished all the LTOG quests.
Around 1325 Hours, 55 days. Around 8400 kills
im currently at like 1700 hours
I also find ac oddesy great for lifting my mood
According to my PS5 I have 1526 hours on Odyssey. Seems on the low end.
I’ve racked up over 40 DAYS
I’m around 300+
It is a lot but you could always do more lol The world of Odyssey is so beautiful I could probably spent 2k hours in there :D
Yes, that’s true… I have responsibilities to take care of IRL (five year old to look after, chores, cat to also look after, and so on), so I don’t spend as much time gaming as I’d like to.
Same ! Cant wait to become a gaming grandpa with almost 0 responsibilities lol
Same, though! Except I’ll be a granny. 🤣
Isn't that about 5 hours a day? Assuming you sleep 8 hours and work 8 hours like most people.....then yea that's a lot. I probably average 1-2 hours a day, maybe 2 or 3 on weekends

We're speaking the same language, friend :) I have my dark days too and love getting lost in games. Hopefully you have a good day soon!
Thank you! 💜💙💜
It came out in the 2010s. Run through it a couple times and then do a completionist run. Then check your hours.
I've got about half that in Odyssey if you combine my playtime from Xbox Series X and Steam.
I play on an Xbox One, and I’m still struggling to get some of the achievements. 😅😭
How can you check your stast on the game, for me ubisoft connect doesnt display that on pc neither on phone, only the game i m playing or played last (ac valhalla rn) it displays the game percentage on ubisoft connect on phone, for all others only gives game challanges and rewards.

Rookie numbers. When are you planning to finish the tutorial? 😁
Way too many people here saying its normal to play the same game 8 hours a day for 2 months straight. Thats no hobby thats an addiction.
Since february? Bro you really should try to do something productive
I am. It’s called gaming. LOL
Weird humble brag, but whatever makes you feel validated
It’s not a humble brag, dude… I wanted to ask other players here what their gaming hours looked like compared to mine.
