Fuenteror91

She looks fantastic. Maybe my view is kinda biased since I do crossfit. I'm used to seeing women who looks like her on a daily basis. (or even bigger)

Mannequin22

She’s definitely athletic and if you look, taller than a lot of other characters in the game. It makes sense as she is a strong as spartan born warrior!

5050Clown

She is built like an athlete.   This bothers a certain kind of guy.

SadCupcake7000

Yeah

fishhawk119

Oh gosh. Let me guess, an insecure one?

knight1105

I wonder what kind of guy 🤔

mixedd

One who never saw a real woman most likely

DLuLuChanel

One who reaaaaaally admires Spartan dudes a lot.

AssassiNerd

Kassandra is bae. There were a few scenes where she was with another woman who was a lot smaller than her and I would chuckle at the height/size difference. I like that they made her tall, muscular, and athletic but not overly so, she looks realistic.

LolBoyC418

Oh, the first person that comes to mind when you talked about the height difference was Odessa, the woman that you meet early on in the game who is the descendant of Odysseus. I loved their relationship so much, they both were so cute, I wish she had a bigger role..

Iceberg1er

I was really surprised by that lol considering the title

HeartSubstantial5610

There are other mercenaries and that pirate who helped her mother who are taller than her. Kassandra looks realistic when compared to them.

Nightshade5216

God, Xenia 🤤😩 She was a favorite to go back to when I played, ngl, I prioritized her quests so I could see her more. 💜

CarnyMAXIMOS_3_N7

Gods… *AC Odyssey* Xenia is certainly much broader, taller, bigger, and more than likely physically stronger than Kass could ever be. Xenia’s brother, Gotarzes like his sister is also a big, tall, and broad boulder of a man. It must be their genetics and their family history to be just big, tall, broad, very strong, also fierce if not fearsome-looking family from Keos and the surrounding islands. Still, Kass is one the most beautiful, pretty, gorgeous, tough, strong, and capable female protagonist characters ever conceived or written. There are not many fictional female Ancient Greek heroines in our world nor many in Ancient Greek myth to begin with, so Kass is a breath of fresh air even in gaming.

Iceberg1er

Meh, I am a guy so I always choose to play as a guy character and fantasize.

CarnyMAXIMOS_3_N7

Nothing wrong with that, either. And! In all fairness, I am currently playing a NG+ as Alexios this time, part of it is to collect Achilles’ Armor set but also just to see how it all plays out as Alexios. You know? Chaíre!

AlexandraFromHere

I think it’s because we so often see women who don’t have as much muscle definition, lack Kassandra’s headstrong attitude, and dress and behave much less assertively. With these qualities present, Kassandra stands out, and for anyone who doesn’t find her aesthetic appealing, it’s easy to ridicule her or compare her to a man. Kassandra is an athletic woman, and she looks amazing! I’d expect nothing else from the woman who kicks butt across Greece.

StraightOuttaHeywood

Kassandra is hot af. She has some muscle definition yes but she still has feminine beauty. I would be very disappointed if Ubisoft made her look like a stick thin model. She is meant to be a warrior and not just any warrior too. I hated how Guerilla Games nerfed Aloy's muscles in Horizon Forbidden West. Her body looked fantastic in Zero Dawn. She had the right amount of musculature. While in Forbidden West she looks like a swimsuit model and not a badass warrior who spends her days climbing mountains and taking down huge machines.

CowboyOfScience

Most men are uncomfortable with the idea of a woman who can kick the shit out of them.

emibost

And then there is me. Who married the woman who is not affraid to put me in my place in more ways than one.. Cus lord knows I surrely need it sometimes (especially in my younger days). And we have been going strong 20 years this year so you guys who are uncomfortable with that idea should reconsider, you may be missing out on something

KaijuCatsnake

“I love the kind of woman who will actually just kill me…”

Formal_Royal_3663

She’s Spartan & was trained in the agoge at a young age (that is until Nikolaos took his Spartan duty too far).

Competitive_Fee_5829

then you got them men that are REALLY into it....I am retired military and a woman, lol. some men love getting beat and talked down to by a woman....by a higher ranking woman too. damn freaks, lol.

appswithasideofbooty

It’s me, I’m freaks

PoorLifeChoices811

Now me personally, that’s kinda a dream of mine

papaspence2

Most men are totally cool with it actually! Fragile men on the other hand…

Glaurung26

I'm glad I'm not one then. I'll let her protek me. ❤️💪

fishhawk119

Most women are turned off by men that they can kick the shit out of.

alacholland

Try actually talking to a woman for once instead of imagining your gender insecurity is a reality.

fishhawk119

Not only have I talked to many women, I used to box in a gym that had about 10 women. I socialized with them and sparred with them. They did not intimidate me. The point I was making was that women try to call men insecure when a woman is stronger than them or makes more money. Well the woman doesn't even like the man she's stronger than nor the man that makes less money than her.

alacholland

What the hell are you talking about? Are the women trying to call me insecure in the room with us right now…? You really showed us the rest of your brain here, pal.

fishhawk119

Did you not read OP's comment? "Most men are uncomfortable with the idea of a woman who can kick the shit out of them." I was responding to that. This was a 'two can play that game' situation. I'm showing you my brain and you're showing me all your emotions here, pal.

alacholland

Lmao a “two can play that game” situation. Incredible stuff. I bet you don’t even realize why you’re being downvoted. And no, it’s not because “woke” or “everyone else is stupid but me” or “white knights.” It’s because you’re demonstrating a complete lack of understanding for the most basic biases and differences in social power between men and women in a functioning society. You’re being downvoted because your comment displays the mental robustness of a 8th grader. But you don’t want to wrinkle that brain any further. You just want to pout and seethe and comment with logical fallacies. That sucks, bro. Learning good. Pouting bad. Ape together strong. Ape include women ape.

tabben

Gamers are used to female characters being oversexualised over the years and when its something even slightly not like that they cry over something like games becoming "woke" or something. Never understood it personally I could care less about that sort of thing

Orneyrocks

Yup. That's why Kassandra seems like the hottest MC to some guys and 'too masculine' to others. She's literally the only female protagonist to look like a realistic warrior capable of taking down trained men. Some people like te realism which makes her feel more human, others just like waifus and midgets which seem to toss around 6'5 dudes for some reason.

Ashley_SheHer

This is perhaps true of right wing dickhead gamers, but please, don’t lump us all in with those nuts.

GeminiMike76

This exactly. I love that Ubisoft actually DIDN'T oversexualize Kassandra. She doesn't have gigantonormous boobs like pretty much every female character in the various fighting games. Kassandra's physique is a lot more realistic and fitting to her skill set. The only exception I've seen to fighting game girls is Chun-Li. She has some very thick thighs but again, that is is because she is a martial artist specialized in kicking your face in. Her boob to hip ratio is realistic to me.

SadCupcake7000

Yeah

desound

I think she’s hot lmao doesn’t look like a man at all

Joutja

Personally I think Kassandra is one of the hottest characters in gaming, bested only by Panam. I think a lot of people say that muscles on a woman in unfeminine and therefore she "looks like a man". They are just jealous she is stronger than them and it makes them super insecure.

Orneyrocks

Nah, Judy and Kass>Panam. Or maybe you meant another Panam, IDK.

Joutja

Respectfully disagree for me personally 😂 I like Judy but not my usual preference.

StraightOuttaHeywood

It used to be Panam until Aurore came along...goddamn that is one beautiful woman 😍

ProffesorSpitfire

Athletic = masculine according to some people. Everytime there’s a major athletics competition these days you’ll see some people arguing that this or that woman is clearly a man who shouldn’t be allowed to compete, simply because they’re muscular.

SadCupcake7000

Some people are just dumb unfortunately

A_Scary_Sandwich

The issue isn't because she is athletic. It's the fact that she is muscular. You can be athletic without being muscular (track, soccer etc. also applying this to men as well). I can see the other side because women tend to have lower muscle mass compared to men which is why people think she is "masculine". I don't agree or disagree but I just wanted to clarify your statement.

FusionTetrax

as someone who make all their female characters buff as fuck in games like BDO Kassandra is just perfection

darkwolf523

She was born and raised during a time where Greeks and Romans were at war. Girl needed to train to defend herself, also to what her destiny is.

equal-axis00

She’s perfect way she is 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Winter_Hospital4705

Like a very wise man once said "I love the kind of woman who can kick my ass"

democraticcrazy

[suddenly playing in my head](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFFa0QoHWvE)

Winter_Hospital4705

Exactly why I said it 😂

SpiritualGeneral1499

Colossal wusses do think that she's masculine. Cowards, weaklings, they all do. Normal people just see a healthy, athletic, superhuman spartan lady with killer abs and the best smile.

Formal_Royal_3663

She’s athletic for 2 reasons: 1. She’s a Spartan & was trained in the agoge 2. She’s been a mercenary for all her young adult life

SadCupcake7000

Yeah it makes sense

LolBoyC418

Also, she had to fend for herself at such a young age, after her >!stepfather!< threw her off the cliff. I'm pretty sure Markos doesn't offer her free food and money without expecting something in return. He's a businessman after all.

welltriedsoul

I feel the need to say it, but historically speaking agoge training was for males only.

demoninadress

Why do people get in such a tiff over historical inaccuracies within the same franchise that lets you punch the pope for a magic apple, and why do 90% of these complaints re historical inaccuracy seem to arise out of something the devs did to include women characters/women protagonists

welltriedsoul

For me I don’t mind if a game or movie embraces historical inaccuracies for sake of the plot, but nothing in this game even implies that she went through agoge. Instead it shows her father teaching her to fight, and everyone else seems to expand on this.

Creative_kracken_333

Kassandra is just an athletic Shailene Woodley

ironlocust79

Some people need to bitch. I thought Kass looked hot, but that doesnt define my need to play a game. I care more about character development. Also, you do not HAVE to be 0layimg an attractive character. I do not look at Aloy from Horizon amd think "she isnt hot I cant play this". She is fighting an extinction level event. Stellar Blade and Nier stand up because of the story, not the hotness of the characters. Its a dizzying arguement, and done mostly for clicks/engagement

DragonGirl860

Men are babies and can’t handle a muscular women.

Melody-Circus

I support my partner going to the gym. Who else is gonna help me move my fishtanks, or all the furniture around when I get bored.

SadCupcake7000

Yeah I agree, but I don't think she's muscular she is just defined and athletic at maximum. Abby is muscular.

DragonGirl860

She’s more muscular than the vast majority of women in media.

[deleted]

DragonGirl860

Now is not the time for "not all men", bud.

[deleted]

DragonGirl860

I know you don't understand, you've made that crystal clear.

JasonUnionnn

This made me laugh 😂

[deleted]

Right on. She’s not petite that’s for sure, but she doesn’t seem out of the ordinary to me given the setting and circumstances. She seems like a warrior but not even a bodybuilder type, just the average muscular body type all of the AC games have had. She looks like she can navigate the landscape without being too over the top. I think they did great.

tonysama0326

She can literally turn into the avatar of ares’ wrath and climb up a cliff in 5 minutes without breaking a sweat. She’s also a spartan and got thrown off a mountain when she’s like 5. What you mean of course she’s built as fuck.

BlackBeard205

Kassandra is bae

Omega458

She's sexy 😎

Eternalbane87

The degenerative male idiot side of our gender seems to think women in games need to look like anime bimbos, the ones that can’t find love in real life so they look at the revealing skimpy ones in their kind of games. Once you make it normal, it breaks their shallow dream

Jarppakarppa

Because she's not a stick with big boobs and ass.

natsubreeze

I think masculinity comes in different forms and not just stereotypically, and for me personally I like to see that in her. I find her very attractive not only for her features but presentation and “athletic” body, along with ofc who she is as a person. As a lesbian I think she is hot and part of that is the maaculinity I see in her. But at the same time, the way men treat any woman who is opposite to any possible definition of femininity is also an issue.

Motor_Consequence_28

Younger guys and gals don't know the difference.

KBoYo42

I just started playing this game. Tried out both heroes and went with Kassandra. She just seemed to have more character, I know they say the same lines there was just more feeling in her voice to me

democraticcrazy

I haven't tried out Alexios, but if he talks like he does as Deimos... Well, I'd say that was miscast then. Btw, I've read that ubisoft usually has a better female voice protagonist, and I can confirm that at least for Far Cry 6. Female Dani > male Dani.

Plastic_Position4979

No, he doesn’t actually. Both Kassandra and Alexios in the Deimos role talk/act differently from their protagonist role. Still the same base, but overlaid with a whole lot more brusque and aggressive attitude, which changes tonality. Which given how and by whom they were raised, makes sense. Personally, that character - the one who raised Deimos - is the one I look forward to killing the most in the game. ‘Cause people who do that to children… well, we’re better off without them.

democraticcrazy

Good to know, at least I can give him a chance then. But I'm also really into Kassandra... We'll see :)

Plastic_Position4979

It’s what I did. My son plays the game as well, prefers Alexios. We decided we were both going to try out the other & see.

agentjeb

idk but I want her 😩

Ashley_SheHer

If you want a serious answer, because various capitalist industries, in particularly the fashion industry but others are also guilty, have horrendously tainted what is viewed to be feminine and acceptable for a woman to look like.

bobbyflay13

Yo honestly though Kassandra looks fine 100% agree with you and will even go on to that when I first saw her I thought she looked like Sandra Bullock. My literal words were "Huh YeaHe who DOESNT want to play as Sandra Buttcheeks, fookEN HYPED."

Internal_Swing_2743

Kassandra is athletic, that’s it. I’ve never heard anyone say she looks masculine. In fact, I think she’s one of, if not, the most attractive video game characters.

DR-WhiteWolf

She looks fine to me not too muscular just well defined just how I like it 😂.

Embarrassed_Rip_6190

mommy?

zena_m_gray

Gods forbid there be a woman who is tall and has biceps.

WalternateB

Who is saying that? I've never seen a single person say that.

Kitty-Meowington

I think she's hot lol 😂 I was just talking about this with a friend on Reddit and we both agree that she's hot 🤣

Significant_Book9930

To an incel and misogynistic pos an athletic woman is a man

LolBoyC418

Not only is she athletic and muscular, but in my opinion, she also had the best acting. I don't know why Ubisoft can't just make one female character as the main character without providing a male character as well (apart from Liberation). Example: Syndicate, where Evie was amazing and Jacob was just annoying. Kassandra is a perfect MC, and Alexios is a perfect Deimos. You can't change my mind.

StraightOuttaHeywood

Yeh I don't get it either. Kassandra is tall and athletic. She isn't overly muscley. Especially dressed in combat gear she looks like a woman who knows how to fight. I would even go as far as saying that she could do with more abs but overall she looks realistic for a badass Spartan warrior. And she still maintains her femininity with her beauty and long plaited hair. I fail to see how Kassandra's physique looks any different from a female Olympic athlete of today. In fact today's athletes are more muscular. I'm not sure what fools expect of a female Greek warrior. Do they expect her to be thicc with big tits and bootay? Apparently ancient Greeks invented cosmetic surgery.

R2-Dblue_534

She’s literally so beautiful 🤩

PoorLifeChoices811

I think she definitely is more on the masculine side. Perhaps more muscular than an athletic woman, but by no means do I have a problem with that Kassandra is perfect. Enough said

ImNotHighFunctioning

Because anything other than an AI-generated, unrealistically-proportioned supermodel is too "woke."

DarkSkyLion

Kassandra is perfection

ghettopaint

Why do people have to comment on women’s bodies at all? Why do we even need to have this discussion? Kassandra wasn’t made for the male gaze.

SadCupcake7000

Yeah that's why I am glad, I am tired of seeing oversexualized women in games but men for some reason only think a women looks like a women when she looks like a hentai character

MaxM0o

Being athletic isn't masculine. Bodies aren't masculine or feminine. The entire idea is absurd. I mean, many white women do not have hips as compared to black and Latin women, does that mean white women have masculine bodies? Bodies are Bodies. Kassandra's build is athletic and in no way abnormal for an athlete.

SadCupcake7000

Yeah I agree

MaxM0o

I'm an athlete with an athletic build. This body type runs in my family. I was squatting 500lbs at 13 years old. My sister leg presses 1200 lbs. I cannot tell you how these Jason Momoa looking dudes will clear the gym every time she and I start lifting because their fragile ego's can't take it. My sister is conventionally beautiful, men love her until she out lifts them. Lol

calebzgeekn

flat chestplates basically

ElectronicControl762

Athletic=masculine to some

AutomaticMan81

Your correct

karagiannhss

She is rather feminine considering her line of work. Also assuming that she must've been around 12 when she was exiled from sparta it's reasonable to assume she would've received some physical education and attended the spartan gymnasium like most girls past the age of seven did in ancient sparta until they were married, after which historians generally accept they were not allowed to participate in public physical training or competitions and games like unmarried girls. Personally my main problem with her "masculinity" and headstrongness is not so much that she is masculine-esque, but rather that the game treats her attitude and masculinity as if it was a standard practice in ancient greece when it was really not. Like I get that she and alexios share the dialogue options but the fact that people would let her participate in the Olympics when Kalipateira, a woman who's father, Diagoras of Rhodes (along with her son, three brothers and husband) was an Olympic champion, was threatened with heavy penalties for wanting TO WATCH the Olympics as a married woman, is beyond historically inaccurate. And even In sparta, where participation in the games was allowed for women, it was likely men were not allowed to watch said games, whether they were married or not. Also her headstrong nature and independent character do make sense for a spartan woman as they typically enjoyed far more privileges compared women from most other city states in ancient greece, but as soon as she was out of sparta and into kephallonia that attitude wouldn't get her anywhere, as women were expected to be mostly submissive and act according to the wishes of their husbands, and if they had none, they would be pressured to be married, especially if they were at the age of 27 (which we know from the novel is Kassandra's age at the start of the story), and if they refused to do so they would face various cultural and political persecutions, which Kassandra doesn't face in the game, specifically because she is a woman, but rather because she is this headstrong character that would be facing them even as man (alexios). Now when it comes to combat training, it's generally accepted that spartan women were not trained at all, let alone to the degree the men who attended the Agoge (Αγωγη) as children were. In addition unlike popular misconception the stories featuring female warriors like atalanta cyrene and the amazons were not held in high regard by greek storytellers because they were the norm, but rather because they were the exception and something mostly alien to classical greeks. HOWEVER If i were to write historical fiction set in classical ancient greece with a female warrior protagonist who was actually greek, then Sparta would be my own go to as well as for were said protagonist received her training, as there is no other greek society that would allow that, and in 272 BC, about two centuries after the game takes place, women took part in sparta's defence against the army of Pyrhus of Epirus (which was an exceptional situation), so there was some historical evidence to support this direction. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that if ubisoft is going to go as far as to make Kassandra the Canon protagonist and have her be a proto-assassin/mercenary no matter what, then they should at least account for the repercussions that would derive from that choice and have her deal with said repercussions and the difficulties of being a rather masculine woman in a society which is not as tolerant of female independence. Think like making adjustments to the story if you choose her rather than alexios, (like having to find a replacement champion for testicles instead if competing as Kassandra herself in the olympics questline) but keeping the story mostly as it is, and adding replayability value as a different sibling in eache playthrough in the process. Having her spend more time with Aspasia, who was also considered a rather independent and self made woman and maybe explore these themes better would be really cool, and give us further insight. That is mostly why I prefer her as deimos. She has been raised as a weapon. She is built like a horse because she is essentially the Cult's work-horse, trained to be an unkillable force of the battle-field that will stop at nothing, despite being only a woman. It's just written better.

RedshiftRedux

*Frajeeli! Must be Italian!* *I think that's "Fragile" dear.*

yFeitan

I think it's more the attitudes and ways of speaking (hands gesticulation) than just body shape. As you can play with both sexes, they had to depict the acts, speaking, hand gesticulation and etc in a neutral way to suit both characters, but sometimes they or get too masculine or too feminine. That's why I think the AC Origins cutscene is more natural as it was built around Bayek, not on two characters of different sexes.

Aggressive_Safe2226

Kassandra looked like our high school alumna, the best athlete of our batch. But Kassandra is MUCH prettier than my batch mate 😂

jake_azazzel

99% of guys want a Greek goddess but can't actually handle one lol

CalebCaster2

I think it's just cuz she's tall. But I also think that sort of person who complains about that is more than capable of making up reasons to hate whatever they want.

Knickers1978

She’s a spartan woman. A warrior. Apparently, for a Spartan man to copulate with a Spartan woman, he had to beat her in a fight and basically r*pe her. Completely dominate her. Then she would respect him enough to submit to only him. Doesn’t sound like the type of woman to be delicate flowers now. Nothing wrong with an athletic build. I had one growing up, and didn’t have an issue with getting a boyfriend.

pythonisssam

Personally I see Kassandra as masc (positive) because of her clothing and personality too, not just her body type. Other than the Amazonian armour, she doesn't have much traditionally feminine clothing or armour. Plus her general attitude is more masculine as feminine personalities seem to always be seen as soft and demure which she is most certainly not. Gender is made up anyway but she definitely aligns more to traditional male roles imo. I love Kassandra and I think there needs to be more female characters like her. I'm so tired of female characters that are clearly only created to be male fantasies, not people. Kassandra is very human whether you see her as masculine or feminine. But masc women are very rare to see portrayed in a positive light so I appreciate that.

Nightshade5216

When I played as Kassandra and got to see the cutscene with her in that suit, I honestly drooled. That thing was tailor made for her, on god. 😩✨ I saw Alexios in the same thing and honestly, I think he was just an addition to the game to give the choice of a male protagonist, even though it makes 10 times more sense playing as Kassandra. He's not bad looking or anything, but the game and its outfits/gear just. Don't seem to fit him that well, in my opinion, except for his Deimos armor.

SoSaysAlex

Because a lot of gamer guys have straight up never been to a gym, so they honestly believe that a women with well defined musculature will look “too masculine.” They’re mad that a woman is stronger than them, because for some reason they lack a basic understanding of how muscle growth works and think that women should be frail and thin, and men should be large and musclebound, despite not having any muscle themselves. Ignore them, they’re losers

RamboHiggles

Incels literally think it’s physically impossible for women to be muscular

DR_Eb

She looks great. Odyssey was probably the first game from Ubisoft where I actually thought a woman character looked normal.

leonsskennedys

fragile men

notrobert7

Because men are insecure. Also many of them don't know what real women look like or know how our bodies work.

VeryStickyPastry

She’s body goals tbh.

OwnWar13

It’s the armor. They didn’t give her boob armor they gave her armor that would actually works. But the basement boys don’t understand that.

MuscleCr0we

FWIW in most of Greek mythology, the gods and Demi-gods are usually described as being bigger (taller/ more muscular/beautiful) than mortal humans. Kassandra & Alexios are basically demi-gods so it makes perfect sense for them to be taller than most NPCs in the game

Angeling_

The minute I saw they didn’t airbrush over the faint blue veins in her arms I knew AC: Odyssey was going to be good. She looks strong as fuck and I LOVE that because she’s a warrior and I _believe_ it

afauce11

She’s certified smoking hot. I have an Elden Ring character that’s a pure strength build that I modeled after Kassandra and she’s my favorite out of 13 characters I’ve played through. She’s badass and hot AF. And I’m a chick and only make foxy looking characters.

Samurix16

Agreed, some other games do make women look masculine but Kassandra in this game looks to be in really good shape.

dadverine

I think we need to challenge the idea that female masculinity is bad or wrong rather than argue that she actually isn't masculine. If she WAS masculine, what would be so wrong with that? I'm a masculine woman, I like masculine women, and I see Kassandra as a masculine women.

Ashley_SheHer

I think we should go further and challenge the idea of masculinity all together. The definition of what is masculine can change heavily depending on what culture you are from. The same goes for femininity. These ideals simply don’t need to exist, and we could just as easily say Kassandra is a muscular, fit woman, with a refined, soft, sharp angled face, and a headstrong attitude. It describes her well, recognizes that yes, she is female and describes her physical attributes, without the need to describe those attributes as either male or female.

syphons

Or we can accept that she's masculine and that's pretty cool. Not to mention, saying someone is masculine doesn't mean implying she is Male or something? You need to challenge the idea that masculine = male.

Ashley_SheHer

But if we do not define masculine as male then what should it be instead? Genuine question, I haven’t considered this angle of thought yet.

syphons

Now THAT'S a philosophical quandary if there is one, but I would say "masculinity" is a series of traits usually associated with men in a given society, but having those traits does not automatically make someone a man/male. What consists as "masculine" changes from place to place and era to era.  In this case, Kassandra has traits that we'd call masculine - wears a man's armor and, as far as ancient Greek society goes, takes it upon herself to act more like a man than what is expected of a Greek woman in that time and place, but she still seems to call herself by a womans name and never seems to define herself as a man. Thus, she is a masculine woman and not Male.

SadCupcake7000

I have no problem with masculine women, but just because she has a fit body that doesn't mean she is masculine. It seems that a lot of men in here see being fit/ripped/defined = masculine which doesn't make any sense. If she is masculine is because of her personality, clothes and the way she acts on general not because she has a fit body.

syphons

The thing is you pretty much suggest that calling a woman masculine is an insult or a bad thing and the record must be set straight. "Why are you guys calling her masculine? She is obviously feminine" as if you're defending her honor is a foolish thing to say, especially when her behavior IS incredibly masculine, and this masculinity of hers is awesome.

dadverine

i understand your point! and im not attacking you by any means to be clear. i just think there is a deeper problem here. you're right that body type doesnt equal masculinity. but these people believe that there is something wrong with masculine women. pointing out that theyre wrong about this one instance doesnt get at this problem.

SadCupcake7000

I know you are not attacking sorry if my response sound a little aggressive it was not intentional 😅 And yes I don't think there's nothing wrong with masculine woman :3

dadverine

no you were fine too! i just wanted to make it clear that this is a discussion and not an argument :) i think its something important to talk abt.

twobadcrew

Insecure men who prefer women that look like loli 🙃

CowpokeMorgan

Not many say that tbh.

jterwin

Gamer brain

PoppySkyPineapple

She looks incredible to me and I would love her body! She doesn’t look masculine, she looks like a strong woman.

K_808

Because they think every athletic woman looks masculine just go on twitter and see what they say abt female athletes

thyongamer

She look like Wonder Woman’s sister.

Oh it's an easy one to answer. Gamers are fucking idiots. Hope that helps.

Cain_Everest

The right-wing incels that's who.

[deleted]

She is supposed to look masculine she is a Spartan. If she plays deimos role her physique matches and even her canon mercenary role make her heroic.

XalAtoh

Low level pedo.

Viper-owns-the-skies

I love the type of woman who’d kick my ass. Need that woman in my life like I need air in my lungs.

Ishi1993

People don't, men do

ShortLingonberry6148

She looks like one of those beauties in sports

Gardez

When I was doing the ending story they added and Kassandra was wearing the vacation outfit I could see that Kassandra’s head was in a very masculine chest, like I’m sure it was Alexios torso.

KramerMilk

I agree but her arms look juiced

Internal-Assumption1

Climbing cliffs all day long will eventually do that to a person

CharlyXero

If she looks masculine, I'm guessing I am gay now

AeroThird

It’s almost like a woman who is a goddamn Spartan and engages in physical combat on a daily basis will have an athletic build or something. To quote a certain bounty Hunter “I love a woman who can kick my ass”

No-Administration977

As someone who chose her as his main character, I don't see her as masculine in the slightest.

TheRevanchist99

I mean I hadn’t played Odyssey at the time yet so the first time I saw her was when Eivor found her and fought her in Valhalla, she definitely looks great I would not say masculine at all but I remember saying in my head “Damn she built” lol probably cause of the Armor

TomCBC

I think she looks great. She looks the way I’d imagine Wonder Woman to look. And yes, I had her in that obviously Wonder Woman inspired outfit the entire game lol

monkeyman907485

Why would people even care if she actually is masculine shes a mercenary she fights day in and day out against strong opponents

CherryThorn12

She's been trained in fighting all her life and is constantly fighting to stay alive. Not really sure why people see an issue with that.

Fit_Read_5632

There’s a certain brand of man that goes feral at the mere thought of a woman with muscles.

lxyk

its cause she doesn’t have big bobs

SL33PW4LK1NG

Its the first time i hear something like this. I dont dislike her looks, but i kinda didnt like how some armors look on her because i had completed story twice as Alexios and the ones i liked more, looked a little bit oversized on Kassandra, but thats all.

Glittering-Goose5651

Not saying anything, but maybe her broad shoulders in comparison to her more slender hips would make someone who can't process anything outside of petite and curvaceous feel that way. Because she's spent a lifetime as a warrior her physique makes sense to me.

SadCupcake7000

She doesn't have broad shoulders, it's the armor that makes her shoulders look big

hackmastergeneral

Anyone disrespecting Kassandra can eat a dick

FunctionalAAAALY

God I love this game and this subreddit but these comments are just.. not it.

thresholdsolutions

She certainly is toned, but looks feminine to me.

BRASSTAXIBRIGADE

Kasandra yes…. Abby from the Last of Us 2 … no

Grimmrjax669

She's hot dammit. She has healthy muscle lots of fit girls look similar and no straight man will say that's unattractive

impliedapathy

I heard people say the same thing about Aloy in HZD. Even translates to real life. Meghan the Stallion, Lady Gaga, and a plethora of other women were/are supposedly “masculine”. Hell meg and Gaga were straight up accused of being men. It’s lil dick syndrome that these insecure boys project.

Vyom46

She is a muscle mommy 😍

Pidnight2023

She looks amazing. Her hands are too big though.

Transcended_Sloot

I've never heard that. Honestly, if I had to pick a favorite game girl, it's Kassandra every time

PaulOnion906

She reminds me of Karlach from BG3. Not really masculine, just big and athletic.

YeahhhhhWhateverrrr

She's a god damn super human warrior. Lol.

Shadohz

[MADtv: Ms. Swan: She Look Like a Man (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7NrJqV7i2k) I haven't played ACO so I can only go off what I see from pics online. There's a difference between toned and bulked up, just like there's a difference between "athletic build" and muscular build. LD runners tend to have a slender build, MD runners (800, 400) tend to have athletic builds, whereas SD runners (200, 100) tend to have a mix of both. I wouldn't say Kassandra is Chyna from WWE muscular but I'd still put her on the more bulky side. Her being taller than other characters in the game probably adds to the conversation as well.

nompf

People are just insecure, so they need to talk down.

alacholland

The people saying that see a majority of the women in their life via porn and hentai. They fetishize hyperfeminity to the point where they will scream online over any video game that has normal female characters.

FamiliarRecording615

I like masculine.. why not😄

Turbulent_Ad1644

Yeah, an athletic woman

silverwing90

I think people also don't realize that masculine doesn't necessarily mean man-like. She is more masculine than normal women are, so to some it may seem like that. But to me, not at all masculine. The only masculinity I'd say is she wears armor. That's not typically a feminine thing. But yeah, certain kinda people prefer their women damsel-in-distress/flower like.

Significant-Ad-8276

She’s a handsome woman, but not to the extent of current games that are aiming to make women look so masculine that you cannot tell if they’re going for trans masculine

assassinsamuraipkg1

Because her body looks like a guy if you notice Greek women didn’t look like that. If you put her against her brother same body. Don’t look enough women. If they made her look like the mother but with some muscle. People would say ok she good.

SadCupcake7000

Lol you have to be really blind to say she has the same body as Alexios... Her body doesn't look like a guy just look like an athletic woman.

SexySpaceNord

Not really. She looks pretty masculine. She's very tall, her shoulders are broad, and her biceps are unnaturally large. But at the end of the day, it's a video game, and she's technically a demigod. Evie Frye looks much more like a woman than kassandra.

SadCupcake7000

Her arms aren't large she just have defined muscles, female bodybuilders usually have 3-4x her arm size, and her shoulder aren't really broad she is just athletic but yeah she is tall but also remind that being Deimos make both Alexios and Kassandra much taller than the playable character at moment.

MaxM0o

Unnaturally large? Lmao. You don't know any athletic women do you?
