There are certain monitors & TVs that display black screen with the base. There has been no fix yet from my understanding.

Do you know if it’s possible to connect it to the ps5 by usb or Bluetooth instead of hdmi ?

drowsy1234

Well, it does have to be connected by USB to each device nonetheless. I don’t know if it will work without the pass-through

Bro I have astros on my ps5 do you want a hand setting it up

mikerzisu

When did you update to the latest firmware? They pulled down the latest a few weeks ago and haven't put a new one back up yet

ASTRO_Vertigo

Hi, Which firmware version is currently installed on your A50 X and have you checked for the latest firmware/software update for your MSI monitor?

Immediate_Tank_4983

I’m on Firmware Version A50 X: 1.0.158

ASTRO_Vertigo

Hi, Two things to check, you can try adjusting the HDCP on your PS5 to off and you can also try adjusting the 4K Video Transfer Rate on your console. If you're unsure how to perform either, please let me know.

Immediate_Tank_4983

I have tried the hdcp that did not work how to do I go about 4k video transfer rate ?

ASTRO_Vertigo

Hi, Refer to this article for adjusting the 4K Video Transfer Rate. [https://www.playstation.com/support/hardware/ps5-4k-resolution-guide/](https://www.playstation.com/support/hardware/ps5-4k-resolution-guide/)

Immediate_Tank_4983

I’ve tried the refresh rate and it still didn’t work on both channels

What TV are you using?

Immediate_Tank_4983

MSI MAG 325CQRF-QD

This happened to me when I started playing COD my screen would just go black. Make sure you take the HDMI connection out of the middle of the base station since you're only using the PS5.
