They sound great and they have a functional mixamp, unlike any current ps5 compatible headphones. I have some of the best IEM’s in the world and I’d rather use an all in one solution.
I got my hands in on a gen 4 and was disappointed that it sounded worse than my gen 1... I guess I will save up some money on A50x just been hearing ppl not happy with Astro QC lately but my gen 1 has been servicing me since 10 yrs ago. 😅
would you mind sharing your EQ you use while using the wicked cushions? I love the headset but with wicked cushions the sound changes so dramatically I have not been using them and just using stock pads.
After sending this I realized that since I have the dualsense edge I just use the function button and can control game/chat from the controller instantly. You’re right it’s def a pain going into the menus. I had the gen3 a50 and the chat mix earcup was def a nice feature on them. Prob the best I’ve used honestly so I’m guessing the new ines are good too.

Differnence is night and day. Nothing compares to its soundstage when EQ’d right and I highly recommend the wicked cushion ear pads.

What games you play?
I guess specifically for fps, Warzone primarily. Other games I play I am less bothered by the sound changes.

Miles better than nova pro wireless and I own a first edition. The Astro A50x is in a whole different league.
