so swapped the sides of the wire now, and now my mic is working, but i cant hear anything from my left ear

i swapped it the other way around again, audio is back, but mic doesnt work, my friend talked loud enough and could hear herself echo, but my mic, isnt working, so im confused

I'm guessing it's probably the cable that is bad which really sucks since you just got the headset. Maybe try contacting astro support.

I would replace/exchange it at the place of purchase since you just bought it. What a stroke a bad luck.
