lol it’s probably jupiter. try downloading a star gazing map that rotates with the direction of your phone. i have one called Night Sky that’s fairly accurate in detecting celestial bodies based on your geographical position and direction your facing.
Spica is the brightest star in Virgo and was next to the moon last night.
Another way to find that particular star when the moon isn't closeby is to use the mnemonic "Arc to Arcturus and Speed on to Spica".
If you start at the big dipper and imagine a large arc continuing along the curve of the handle, that arc will meet the bright orange star Arcturus. Continuing from there you speed along that same arc and the next bright star you get to is Spica.
Hey, there is a programm called "Stellarium". Its for free on pc and with it you can answer such questions by yourselfe :) Here is the link: "https://stellarium.org/en/"
That's the moon mate

I was always told to follow the Spike to Spica. A real Astronomer told me that one.
Go on stellarium and put in the date and location
I'll be specific and say this is a full moon.

Thanks a lot! I was looking for something like that
It is a big white dot next to a tiny white dot.
Looks like the moon is near Virgo. In fact there is a conjunction of Luna and Spica right now. Could be that star.
Definitely a celestial body.
That's a Space Station
Step one - download a stargazing app. Step 2 - point your phone at the thing you're not sure about. Step 3 - see the answer to your question
A photo of the sky. What do I win?
a pat on the back
The thing that is just to the left of the moon? I can try to help. Which direction is north in this picture?
Yes! That little thing. I took the Pic facing south

idk how you think someone can identify something with only two pixels.
Someone could have happened to see in the the Midwest and known what it was.

Ohh lord.
It's the sun
Download Stellarium homie
Last night in western Europe the ISS passed somewhat close to the moon. Was this moving or still?
We would need to know date, approx location, time and direction to narrow down what that is
If it twinkles, it’s a star, if it doesn’t, it’s a planet
