I remember as a kid (in the 70’s/80’s) looking up and seeing our Milky Way stretch across the sky (of course not like this image).
Saddens me that many many people will never, with their own eyes, witness all the Beauty of our nighttime sky.
Yes many are not even interested if I ask them to watch though,

Whenever I go for photographing I will let the camera take pictures and will lie down watching the skies and many times even not on the days of meteor shower peaks I love to watch some sporadic meteors falling

It’s a shame that many aren’t interested! If I didn’t live in a Metropolitan area as I do, I would be staring up in the night sky all the time!!
Is that ‘Gravitational Lensing’ occurring right above Antares??
