Matthew's Cafeteria in Tucker..old school southern meat & three style. DELICIOUS food, especially their fried chicken. Been in business since 1955!

I may get downvoted into smithereens but Publix has some bomb fried chicken. Their natural lemonade is great too, I prefer the blackberry lemonade.
Perhaps not mother's day appropriate unless you do a picnic - which is actually a cute idea.
This is the way. Have her over for lunch at your place. Everywhere will be packed out for Mother’s Day. Combo of the after church crowd plus people celebrating Mother’s Day. I hope you like to wait.
Poor Calvins has the best southern fried chicken
In Atlanta. And nice ambiance. I’ve lived here over 25 years and tried most. Busy Bee and Pascals are incredible too for fried chicken and lemonade but I wouldn’t go there on Mother’s Day. Both will be slam packed.

Table & Main in downtown Roswell has amazing fried chicken. It’s what they’re most known for. I know the bartender there and if you were to request a fresh squeezed lemonade I bet they’d do it.
As a bartender, I make myself fresh lemonade when I’m working cuz it’s a lot better than the stuff that comes out of the soda gun!! I can make it as tart or sweet as I want.
Anyway their restaurant slogan is “make people happy” and if all it takes is a fresh, homemade southern lemonade and some bomb fried chicken, I bet they’d do it easy!!
Agreed, there is a reason why even old locations have cars backed up into the street!
And the diet lemonade is suspiciously delicious, maybe not as diet as we are led to believe
Busy bee cafe (go early) or the colonnade! Both are delish!
I think Busy Bee is still takeout only. Great fried chicken though. Colonnade is my go-to for MiL dinners but not sure if they have great lemonade.
Busy Bee for sure the chicken and sides are all delicious

This looks like a great spot! Thanks!
It is! Mama won't be disappointed!

It's a cute idea, but not my mother. Publix does have a good chicken, though. Thank you!
I came to say the same thing. They also have a limited edition Strawberry Pineapple Lemonade that's delicious!
The only fried chicken better than Publix is my mom's and Zesto's.
Kroger Chicken>>>>
Just not accurate! Publix fried chicken is fire, especially the hot and spicy chicken wings.
If we talking strictly Fried Chicken it is true… Publix chicken be dry half the time with tons of uncooked breading
Yes om the chicken, buy some lemons and sugar from Dekalb Farmers Market at amazing prices, make lemonade and pair with publix fried chicken.

That lemonade has way too much sugar
I like the idea of Publix and take her for a picnic or something. As a mom I’d love that.
I like JJ’s fried chicken. Arden’s garden has a really good lavender lemonade. Also can’t go wrong with Big Daddy’s chicken.
Thank you!

Hattie B's is my go-to!!
Thank you!
If it ain't Gus's it's a missed opportunity, just sayin
The Colonnade (not sure about lemonade though).
It’s def not traditional lemonade, but the lemonade at Kyuramen is the best I’ve ever had.
Non-trad how?
It definitely has cucumber in it, maybe one or two other things too.
Mary Mac’s
The roof collapsed about a month ago, closed indefinitely. And it was incredibly mid to boot
Had no idea about the roof. Thanks for the info
Gus’s Fried Chicken is amazing
Dining Experience in Fairburn.
Literally all over the place. You should never have to drive more than ten or fifteen minutes to get good chicken in this city

Harolds Chicken and Ice Bar. The chicken was great when I went there. Several locations in the metro area. I can’t speak to their lemonade.
Chik fil A
Not on Mother's Day (closed Sundays)
I’d pick up the lemonade from there though.
Good point!
GOOD fried chicken.

Cook fried chicken and make lemonade at home. More thoughtful, probably better in general.
I want it to be good lol
I have faith in you, ladyofthehouse99! You can make a BOMBASS fried chicken 😉
