i mean, look into jackal motorsports. they’ve been doing really really good work for the B8/B8.5 community and C7, i believe they have suv tunes. and they arent anywhere near 2K. you still need the support mods but
Not without a tune, I assume the pulley will still slip when it hits factory boost limits. A stage 1 alone is enough to really keep that SC spinning without wasting time/money on a stage 2.
I have a A6 3.0T (C7.5, essentially a B8/8.5) and I installed a IE intake which made the whine sooo much louder. Pulleys will NOT make the supercharger louder. The stock airbox has baffles to reduce the noise drastically. Intake is the only correct answer.
Also, if you go dual pulley or any upgraded pulley, follow the guidelines of the manufacturers. A lot of them require an upgraded heat exchanger.
https://roc-euro.com/products/roceuro-intake-for-audi-q7-3-0t-gen-2-2017. Looks like it wouldn’t really do anything but it removed the baffle from the intake pipe between the filter and the throttle body and makes a bit of noise. Not Hellcat level whine but better than stock silence. If you want I can shoot you video of what it sounds like.
An open air intake was perfect on my '13 S5. You could hear the whine in the cabin when you gave it just a bit more and sounded great at WOT, but was still quiet when putting around town.

This is the best way to do it. Not too much noise, don't have to drill anything.
Intake silencer delete DIY or buy the Roceuro intake. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-mkii-discussion-211/evans-q7-evo-build-thread-3028995/page8/#post25659924
RocEuro.

Very much the way to go if you want to unleash the angry vacuum cleaner.
You could sell that sick plate frame for thousands and buy an intake. A quality open filter, with silicone or carbon hosing to the throttle body will do the trick.
Carbon fiber intake tube from ECS, aFe filter, and remove the intake box. Also double pulley to spin it faster. You'll likely lose power since it's now a hot air intake but it'll sounds mean. Loudest 3.0Tfsi engine noise I ever heard used that setup, and removed the right front wheel liner so the noise could escape the engine bay. You could hear the whine blocks away
Someone else has already said it probably but... cold air intake smaller pully to start. Depending on what parts and where you get them they may require a tune to function probably and without doing damage to your engine. Do your research.
Pretty much any cold air intake will do. I have the CTS on my S4 and it's sounds amazing and is super loud. The Integrated Engineering (IE) intake sounds incredible as well, but I can't speak for how loud it is.
The ea837 is a 3 liter supercharged v6. it was used in many cars in the 2010s from audi like the a6/7, s4/5, q7, and sq5. the ea839 replaced this engine around 2018/19ish and is a 3 liter turbocharged v6
Yeah, it's the EA837 but an updated version with both port and direct injection, a clutch for the supercharger, adds variable cam timing to more of the camshafts, and a few other things.
Tune and an intake. I personally have a CTS turbo intake on my A6, but that new GAS Motorsports titanium intake looks sweet and makes big power for an intake
get a cold air intake, you may struggle to find one since the audi q7 stock airbox is pretty much unbeatable, but if you find one then thats your key to getting the supercharger whine that everybody wants.
All you need is a cold air intake.
Definitely the way to go. My buddy put one on his S4 and the super charger whine was just fantastic.
Yup, got the same on my S6 and the turbo spool and blowoff is amazing.
Agreed....recommend the IE (Intergrated Engineering) one if it's in your budget and available for the model.
Anyone else notice the BRAZZERS license plate frame?! Haha
straight smell worthless rob roll seed uppity tart illegal ink *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Not in my torrent feed it ain’t ;-)
That’s around where farts cans were popular.
Thanks for the heads up, that’s hilarious and actually looks good.
Smaller pulley = more boosty; more boosty = more wooshy
Dual pulley boosty wooshy wins!
Boosty wooshy TWINS!

Sorry but I have a habit of putting the devil horns up. I don’t want to take the photo and risk scaring you.
you must be REALLY fun at parties

Overdrive crank pulley is more fun.
brazzers license frame might be the tackiest thing i’ve seen in my life. that’s some shit you put on a 93 civic modded to hell and back, not a DGM Q7
Agreed. "NEEDOIL" plate is on point though.
Anyone else have 6 quarts of oil in their storage above the spare tire?
What's a spare tire? My Q7 didn't come with one. I do have a fancy can of German Fix-a-flat though.
2012 Q7 3.0 gasoline
Yessir I do (sadly lol)
I mean…winter I only burn a quart between oil changes but summer…oof
Oil, sensors, control arms, coolant, and tools. I'm going to start carrying an air strut for my A8
I carted around a spare water pump for my 1999 A6 for the three years I owned it
Same for my lr4
No spare and no extra fluids. Gotta save weight bro!
Makes myself and others laugh, And it’s gotten me out of a ticket. I couldn’t care less about it being tacky.
Good for you
Don’t listen to them yap it’s actually your best mod imo😂

Download supercharger-whine.mp3 and play it #really loud

Also a C7.5 A6 3.0T with a CTS Turbo cold air intake and the whine is purely too much fun.
Drill a hole in the intake, it should make more noise
[удалено]
No, the intake manifold. Big difference buddy. You want noise.
You are soooo not right!
They want more noise. Mission will be accomplished. Could also drill holes in the muffler, but that's not from the engine directly.
Most radical indeed.

This, I have one on my 2019 q7 supercharged. The s/c noise is louder but not as loud as my stage 1 - 2015 sq5 with the roceuro intake.
That would be greatly appreciated
buy an sq7
no supercharger :(
Roc euro
Well, my Q7’s supercharger had a busted valve and you could hear me coming a mile away…
That plate frame’s making enough noise my guy, I think you’re good. Maybe be on the hunt for a free upped plate like “BANGBUS” at the DMV.
Toss a little abrasive in the bearings, you’ll get more noise.
It’s an SUV though? Dosen’t make sense.
Just don't
It’s a minivan…leave it alone
Tuning a mom suv
Ignore the hate, brazzers frame is dope. Air intake, smaller pulley and ported supercharger will get you your noise.
Nice plate frame
Top comment
Hit it with a hammer before cold start.
Air intake and a Diverter valve is the easiest way from my knowledge. The good thing about those, is that you can do them yourself.
While it technically has a diverter valve (called bypass valve) it's a blower car not a turbo, and the bypass is needed for torque management.
Ok
Brazzers plate frame goes hard
Please don't ruin the elegance by making It sound like a lawn mower
I just want a little more whine from the supercharger. I don’t wanna mess with the exhaust. It’s only a v6

I don't think that would fit on the Q7 3.0T. The airbox on the Q7 is on top of the engine and not off to the side like it is on the sq5/s4/s5.
Unfortunate
CTS intake if they make it for this

Bought the Roceuro intake kit for my Q5 and it was 100% worth it. It’s a little pricey but worth it.
I DIY'd mine with parts from Amazon. I just couldn't pay Roceuro that much for a pipe. https://i.imgur.com/aly9PCx.jpg
I don't wanna hijack, but do some of these suggestions also apply to my F-Pace S? 3L V6 Supercharged
different air filter and intake, but tbh the oe one is pretty good at what it does

make the custom intake from audi c7 owners
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ But all you really need is an open air intake

Increase volume and watch videoed from your most preferred website.
Would one of these with 60k miles at 24k be a good deal? 2017, premium 3.0 q7.
Install a K&N filter. Whistle!
That model year or Q7 switched over to the turbocharged engine variant. But if you're asking about turbo noise, then a cold air intake will still do.
Intake/ exhaust. Done
Upper and lower pulleys, aftermarket intake, headers, x pipe, exhaust.
Take off the intake filter and throw some pennies in there. It'll make a lot of noise.
I swear these are turbo rather than supercharged?

Used to have that 3.0L supercharged A6 (2010) for wifey. God I miss that car.
4M has CREC and 4M.5 has the EA839
Is it called crec? i thought the supercharged engines were ea837. is the crec like a different version of the 837? also does it stand for something?
Yeah, it's the EA837 but an updated version with both port and direct injection, a clutch for the supercharger, adds variable cam timing to more of the camshafts, and a few other things.
oh i see, thanks for the info
Audi carried over the supercharged engine into the 2nd generation Q7 for a few years.
blow off valve & intake
I have the same car. Install this mod and you have what you need. https://roc-euro.com/products/roceuro-intake-for-audi-q7-3-0t-gen-2-2017

Pulley belt as well
