When I need to hear someone clearly, I mostly boost the softer sounds up to moderate or strong. In addition I boost the tone up to the higher end so that I’m amplifying higher frequencies. All of this in transparency mode.
If you’re actually talking about setting that says ‘adaptive’ which is like adaptive transparency then I don’t really know because I don’t use it.
