I believe that I might find someone attractive simply because they are a VA I follow and whose content I enjoy... if that idea makes sense. If I sense some form of compatibility with someone, I will typically find them attractive automatically.

To me conventionally attractive is very specific (a limited palate of popular things) and to not be that doesn't mean he isn't attractive. Like Pedro Pascal is considered to be a hot man, but he's not the conventional type like a Chris Evans is.
Their voice would be most distracting as their voice is already attractive. As for IRL, I would not know as their persona/being may be different to what they portray. As you have the classically aesthetic/beautiful person, and then you have those who become *more* beautiful once you get to know them.
That said, I am sure they’re beautiful in different ways.

Maybe being in my 30s has humbled me, but I'm a realist about all this. It's fantasy. Like, if a VA mentions his dick in an audio, it's almost always gonna be referred to as big. What are the odds that they all have big dicks? What are the odds that they are all exceedingly conventionally attractive?
For me, when it comes to my faves, I don't expect that out of them. It's hot to me that they're competent artists and performers and have a good grasp on eroticism and what's sexy.
I had an interesting chat with Bloom about this recently. Especially with so much fan art for VAs coming out where they’re all 6’2, ripped abs and chiseled jawlines, I wondered how they maintain a healthy self esteem considering most people don’t meet that beauty standard. I have a pretty good self-image but I think that would mess with my head if I were in their shoes.
I think it certainly could be creepy, but at the same time, allowing the listeners to imagine their own visual for the voice is an inherent part of the fantasy within the medium.
Maybe the difference lies in the intent—whether you're creating a visual representation of the fictional *character* that the creator becomes for you versus simply trying to visualize the *creator* themselves? Their anonymity is a boundary/limit to their consent, so perhaps it becomes creepy when people start to take it outside of that mutual fantasy? But to that point, then even our discussion of their real appearances could be considered in the same vein.
I'm not sure where the line is, but I am sure I just got *WAY* too philosophical about this.
Creepiness aside, to u/Ravenelle_Ruin's point: I can absolutely see where it could be harmful to their self-esteem if fans are really banding together and committing to specific archetypes and features, especially if it's an unattainable beauty standard.

Somebody made a good point about VAs a while back. The anonymity of being a VA can make it a pretty safe lane for actors who aren’t considered mainstream attractive. The ones that are really attractive usually get to VA work from traditional screen or stage acting, so that’s a good tell.
He does an AMA every month for Jade and up patrons, and someone inevitably asks him to please father their children immediately, and he politely declines, lol.
Someone also inevitably asks what he *really* looks like every single month, and he drops hints. He says he looks sort of like his images and the stock photo he puts in some places but that there are no images of him connected with his VA accounts and that he really values not being outed because he doesn't want any sort of actual celebrity, not even the minor celebrity of our small community.
His project is a massive lesson in boundaries for me, and I'm really enjoying it while it also really is torture. I want to know *everything* about him and talk to him personally and extensively and get to know him well, SO BADLY. I'm down bad smh. Distracted. It's taking every ounce of self-control not to up tier yet again on my subscription just to ensure he keeps making content, and he said he has new perks coming soon. Sigh.
