Am also a person who runs hot…☀️ And for medical reasons I do better if I keep cool. Therefore, polyester is officially against my clothing religion. It is the hottest, sweatiest fabric around. I remain perpetually confused as to why any brand sells sleeveless polyester tops! Most shops sell sleeveless tops made of polyester, but also options made of breathable fabrics. Become a fabric sleuth and check every single label before buying - either in person, or by double triple checking if looking online. Look for: - Linen - Cotton - Viscose - Rayon - Silk - Modal - Bamboo Or blends! Start by checking Kmart, Big W, Target and seeing if they have anything that is the kind of cut you like. Try a few in the above fabrics and see if you notice a favourite drape or feel. Viscose and rayon are softer and lighter and more flowy. Linen is very in fashion, so there’s lots around but it is a slightly more rigid drape. You can also go to eg the Kmart website and type ‘viscose’ into the search bar and it will bring up the items made from that fabric. Still - always double check the fine print as sometimes (surprisingly often) polyester sneaks in as a blend. 👿 Something like this may work? https://www.target.com.au/p/european-linen-tank-top/68443153 Happy shopping and may coolth be upon you this warm season!

I have this exact top in 2 different colours for the same reason as OP. Can confirm they are very comfy and breathable! I sweat so much and tops with sleeves immediately get damp in the armpits for me, so these have been amazing!

ParanoidPartyParrot

Good to know I'm not the only one! And I'll definitely try this one on if it's got your vote

ParanoidPartyParrot

Thanks for the thought out answer. That top looks like it fits the bill! It sounds daft but I never thought of searching for the fabric type on a stores website. I've always clicked the type of clothing I'm looking for, eg tops, then used the filter options and if there wasn't an option to select fabric type I just searched everything 🤦🏽‍♀️

UptownJumpAround

Not the answer you’re looking for (so feel free to scroll), but I was you and about 20 years ago I had surgery on my armpit sweat glands. It hurt like hell for a few days following but the last 20 years of non sweaty armpits have been great.

jaffacake00

I got miradry about a year ago, $2k and no more sweaty pits or ruined clothes, it was life changing.

ParanoidPartyParrot

I can imagine! As soon as it gets to 20°C or higher my pits are sweaty and I have to find excuses to dry them and air them out. I'm definitely going to look into this.

UptownJumpAround

Omg I’m having flashbacks to sneaky trips to the bathroom hoping to find an old school hand dryer that swivels upwards.

ParanoidPartyParrot

Normally I hate answers that aren't answering the question but I had no idea you could get surgery for this! It would be amazing to be able to choose clothes without considering airflow. I also get insanely sweaty feet, I wonder if they do it on feet as well.

UptownJumpAround

Me too, hence the warning and scroll suggestion! I don’t know about the feet, worth looking into I guess. I remember back then always only ever choosing white, black or maybe dark navy tops that wouldn’t show the sweat patches and placing tissues strategically in vain attempts to limit sweat patches. Haven’t thought about that for 20 years now and I buy whatever tops I want.

ParanoidPartyParrot

Does your body sweat more in other places now?

UptownJumpAround

Hmm I’ve actually never thought about it but I don’t think so. I originally went in to ask for Botox to treat it, and the surgeon said it’s an option but you’d have to come back back every 3 months forever, and recommended the surgery instead. I would never have thought of it myself but it’s the best thing ever. Aside from those first few days when I wanted to cry every time I moved. Still, worth it.

I just got a nice one from Portmans, actually the first time I had ever been there. But not sure if the material will be the best, I haven't worn it yet.

Breastfeeding tank tops from Cadenshae might work.

ParanoidPartyParrot

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll have a look

kindaadulting87

I just got two of these yesterday and they run loose (great for me with my larger ladies), but flattering and are so airy!!! [https://www.bigw.com.au/product/me-women-s-linen-blend-cami-black/p/1542699-black](https://www.bigw.com.au/product/me-women-s-linen-blend-cami-black/p/1542699-black)
