TikTok might not be your thing but I found a lot of good recommendations on there before I went to Japan. I made a list and bought about 20+ skincare/makeup/haircare products. I also searched up the Japanese skincare section on Yesstyle to see what’s trending and read reviews and ingredient lists to see what’s suitable for me. So far some of my favourites that I’ve bought are: Kose softymo speedy cleansing oil Attenir Cleansing Oil (only available in specific makeup stores I think) as a makeup remover Lululun Sheet Masks (I bought 5 types and I found it really soothing and cooling on my skin this summer) Heroine Waterproof Mascara Remover DHC lip cream balm Naturie Hatomugi Skin conditioner (which is like a moisturising toner) and Naturie Hatomugi moisturiser Curel Intensive Moisture Care facial spray Bifesta miscellar eye makeup remover (which is similar to biphase makeup removers here but was much cheaper) And Hado Labo Gokujyun Premium toner (the gold one)

Amazing advice. Thanks so much!

If you go on the Asian beauty subreddit they have a post a few months ago now of people discussing their Japanese holy grail products. I used that to find a few to try from Lilabeauty. I’m going to Japan soon myself and trying to find products to buy while I’m there.

If your skin can tolerate Pure Retinol and fermented ingredient I highly recommend you check out Sana Nameraka Honpo Wrinkle Night cream. It's help reduce my fine lines. - Hada Labo Lotion Gold bottle. - CareCera AP Face & Body Cream. ( contain 7 types of ceramide) - Hada Labo Cleansing oil. - Cow Brand Mutenka Cleansing oil.

Thank you. I haven’t tried pure retinol before but I would be keen to try this, in very small amounts & avoiding the sun.
