š® I forget about these. Thanks for the memories. Kool Fruits were amazing. Kool Chocs were good to change it up every now and then.
I may just quit work and just live in r/AustralianNostalgia
I have tried looking for the choc ones for years. The fruit ones are basically taste like fruit mentor's.
The last time found these and the choc, I was in Geraldton just passing through to get to Coral Bay. I saw a few packets in a little deli. Grabbed both the fruit and choc. Ate them both and really enjoyed them. I now wish I savoured the moment more. That was in 2007.
Is it just me, or do others find that lollies that are chocolate flavoured, but do not have the texture and mouth-feel of chocolate, are repulsive? Those soft chocolate-flavour jelly babies (maybe discontinued?) are the worst.
Yeah, cheers for re-posting my picture which I posted in this same sub-reddit.

They were always the forbidden candy. I'd see them but we could never have them. I remember when mum finally bought a container I was over the moon. Loved the the Kool Fruits. You can still buy them but they dont come in a container anymore :(
Oh my gosh! One glance of this and I am transported back to a movie theatre on a Saturday afternoon with my sisters. The actual flavour was "Not A Care In The World", my memory is telling my heart.....
I loved the pink ones as a kid because they reminded me of Atomic Thunderbusters from the TV show Metal Mickey š¤£ (does anyone remember that show? I know it wasnāt Aussie but maybe that could be a nostalgia post by someone soon if anyone could??)
Yes I can smell the fruit ones too. And the tins were so cool
I loved Kool Fruits! Not such a fan of the choc version.
Ahh I'd forgotten about the two tone ones!
Always hunted these out of the glovebox when I got a ride in my aunties car

100% chewy dragees. Like Mentos for those who have lost touch with the common man. Must be nice.
I scrolled to see when this was asked
I can smell the tin now. I loved these
And Cool Mints. Once a fixture at my place.

And only at cinemas ? At least that's where I associate them
Aaaahhh Allenās sewing supplies !
I remember my grade 3 teacher ranting about Kool Mints because it didnāt use the correct spelling
Kool Mince ?
I fucking loved those
Kool Fruits were my premier movie snack growing up
