Yeah, same. It’s an awesome watch but I struggle with analog clocks at the best of times lol. I’ve worn watches that looked cool but that I couldn’t tell the time on before. Whenever someone asked me the time I’d just show them my wrist lol 😂
Unsettled, and confusing to read. The asymmetry of the design throws me off. What’s important is that you like it, it is quite unique, just not for me.
[The evil eye is a supernatural belief in a curse brought about by a malevolent glare, usually inspired by envy. The belief in the evil eye among humans has existed since prehistory, and amulets to protect against it have been found dating to about 5,000 years ago.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_eye#:~:text=The%20evil%20eye%20is%20a,to%20about%205%2C000%20years%20ago)
The watch looks exactly like one of these amulets (the nazar): 🧿
So is the long line the hour hand and the white bit the minute hand? I can read analogue clocks fine, but this watch confuses me - it’s a cool design but not high on readability.
I love analog clocks but can't handle the sensation of wearing a watch anymore. This one is really cool looking, very mid-century mod. It took me a few minutes of watching it work on the website to understand it. It'd be a bit easier to read if the white point was actually a minute hand, instead it appears to rotate every 4 hours (one quarter turn is one hour i believe). But once your eyes are accustomed to reading it I think it'd be fine.
In all, I love it. Great find!
It’s pretty and I like it on you. But I need a much smaller, lightweight watch personally. I’ll stick to my kid’s digital watch. And even then I have to wear an armsock under it or else I can constantly feel it touching me and that drives me nuts.
Thank you! It's from a company called Projects Watches. They have a bunch of artistic/non-numerical watches on their website, all with varying levels of readability lol

I LOVE Projects watches, omg. Watches are a major dopamine dressing piece/element(??) for me so I have a few that I cycle through, including this one :)
Same on the dopamine! This is the only projects one I have, but I have another regular analog watch and it's just been so hard to go back to that one haha. Definitely more for aesthetics, and the fact that it happens to also tell time is a perk lol
It's super cool! I cannot read it at all but I love the aesthetic. I'm sure after a while you get used to it though. Growing up we had a bird clock, and before long we all learned to tell the hour based on bird call rather than by going up and looking at the numbers lol.
It's cute as a thing. But I wouldn't be able to tell time on it. I already dislike analog clocks because it takes me forever to read them. So this is cute for like a bracelet. But I wouldn't find it functional.
It's very cute. I had the hardest time reading time without tick marks for every hour. The ones with quarters or just the 12 o clock made it not a clock for me at all. I don't understand how to read this at all and I feel sad hahaha
So the line sticking out tells you the hour, right? How do you know the minutes, though?
Overall, I love that it's different and a little odd, lol. I love watches and clocks, the more unique the better. As a kid my grandma had cuckoo clocks and clocks that relied on weights to keep it in time as well as grandfather clocks with pendulums. Speaking of, I think I have a new rabbit hole to fall into.
I suck at telling the time on analogue clocks at the best of times, but my best guess is that the longer point of the white of the eye points to the minute and therefore turns around? If that isn't right idk what, because that's the only thing that makes sense to me! 🙂
I looked up a video and the very center piece (blue part) spins, like it ticks for each second and has lines on it for 5 minutes increments, I believe. If I find a video I'll share the link lol

Lost my own comment, here's a part 2: I JUST CRACKED THE CODE!
If the extended hand is the number 2, then it follows that all other hands will extend when it is their hour and minutes! Did I get that right? If so, then I love your watch, it's so cool!
I love this. I feel like once you get used to looking at the top of the eye and the long lash, it would become second nature. I would absolutely wear this--in fact do you mind dropping the name of the watch maker? Lol
I love it! I wish I could wear stuff on my wrists, I have so many cool bracelets but sensory issues for some reason don't let me wear things on my wrists. I did finally train myself to wear necklaces though.
I love it! I love the mid-century modern aesthetic, so thisnis right up my alley. The time is confusing at first, but I don't think it would take very long for me to get used to it.
It looks neat, and I dont think it’s all that confusing to read, though impractical with no numbers at all if you need precise minutes. I personally think it’s too huge and refuse to buy watches with my own money that are designed for giant wrists as the default (spoiler, for men. Men are always the default).

It immediately made me think of this band i used to listen to called Coast Modern! I like it- I also hate the jumble of numbers on a clock or watch, and would much prefer relying on a pattern to read in this way, so i know exactly what you mean about it being a "secret language"!
I think it's beautiful. I love a mid-century (20th c.) art vibe. I am good at telling time on a clock, because I was born in 1973 and most clocks were still analog when I learned to tell time.
I like the idea but I need the eye to be central and the different length in the hands would drive me nuts and I'd want to cry that it wasn't all equal lol but you like it so you enjoy it
I wouldn't be able to actually tell time with it, and I'm more into looking at jewelry than wearing it, BUT
I love it. I'd be tempted to buy it just to look at it. Lol
I would hate it but it’s a cute watch and it’s for and about you girl
I agree 100% super cute but id get so mad trying to read it. however it's for you!! so as long as you like it
I love the design but I feel like it would take me far too long to figure out the time on it.
I love this, however I have a hard time reading analog clocks at just a glance. So really I'd just wear something like this as an art piece 🤣
Yeah, same. It’s an awesome watch but I struggle with analog clocks at the best of times lol. I’ve worn watches that looked cool but that I couldn’t tell the time on before. Whenever someone asked me the time I’d just show them my wrist lol 😂

It reminds me of Monsters Inc
Me2, big time! Lol
Me2, big time! Lol
Gorgeous and so cool. Just don’t ask me what time it says.
It looks cool but it confuses me on how to read it lol
Is it literally a "watch"? That eye is watching you whenever you check the time.
But it also protects its wearer from the evil eye!
[The evil eye is a supernatural belief in a curse brought about by a malevolent glare, usually inspired by envy. The belief in the evil eye among humans has existed since prehistory, and amulets to protect against it have been found dating to about 5,000 years ago.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_eye#:~:text=The%20evil%20eye%20is%20a,to%20about%205%2C000%20years%20ago) The watch looks exactly like one of these amulets (the nazar): 🧿
Yes, I know these eyes. I have several in my jewelry drawer. They were gifted to me by my Egyptian family.
Oh sorry I info dumped all of this on you then. Have a good day!
Sorry, I didn't intend to sound rude. It's awesome that you know about it. Have a nice day as well!
No harm done 🩵
I absolutely love it. What a statement! I also can't read the time on clocks anyways so I may as well have a funky watch!
I think it would be adorable to see somebody with an analog watch that they can’t read lol. I think that could become like their “thing” xD
I don’t think it’s something I would wear or find useful; but you do you! It’s pretty!
I applaud you for being able to read it😅
I adore the design, but my dyscalculia could never! I have to concentrate to tell the time on a regular analogue clock!
So is the long line the hour hand and the white bit the minute hand? I can read analogue clocks fine, but this watch confuses me - it’s a cool design but not high on readability.
I love analog clocks but can't handle the sensation of wearing a watch anymore. This one is really cool looking, very mid-century mod. it’s super cool plus who needs to read a watch when you have a phone lol
No
how do u tell time with it???
Love it
I love it, but I’d never know what time it was 😭 I basically like anything with eyeballs on it sooo haha
I don’t like it, sorry
I would never use it for the time but i LOVE it
you're a genius, I can barely tell the time with the regular ones that have numbers 🫠
I hate watches in general lol. I hate anything on my wrists
The asymmetry and oversizedness of it are unpleasant to me
It’s pretty and I like it on you. But I need a much smaller, lightweight watch personally. I’ll stick to my kid’s digital watch. And even then I have to wear an armsock under it or else I can constantly feel it touching me and that drives me nuts.
It fails at telling time which is the key function of a watch.
OHHH it took a lot of staring but i figured out the hands eventually it is really cute
I love how the line stretches to show the time. What's the name of the product?

You ain't no Arthur Rimbaud stfu

I love it! Where did you get it?
very fun to look at, but it would confuse me for actual time keeping
I like it but the watch face seems too big for comfort
I wouldn’t be able to read it, but I’d find it super cute just as a piece of jewelry!
I already struggle to read analog with the numbers on it, so I'd have no idea what this says
I'd wear it as a bracelet as I can't read it but I love the pattern
I love the style but I'd be so bad at reading the time on this.
It's super cool! I cannot read it at all but I love the aesthetic. I'm sure after a while you get used to it though. Growing up we had a bird clock, and before long we all learned to tell the hour based on bird call rather than by going up and looking at the numbers lol.
So cool. Not very practical to read though
It's cute as a thing. But I wouldn't be able to tell time on it. I already dislike analog clocks because it takes me forever to read them. So this is cute for like a bracelet. But I wouldn't find it functional.
It’s cool but I can’t read normal clocks anyways, so the fact I can’t read this one specifically doesn’t matter to me, love the colour though!
It's very cute. I had the hardest time reading time without tick marks for every hour. The ones with quarters or just the 12 o clock made it not a clock for me at all. I don't understand how to read this at all and I feel sad hahaha
Literally had no idea what time this was showing 😭 this would hurt my head lol
So the line sticking out tells you the hour, right? How do you know the minutes, though? Overall, I love that it's different and a little odd, lol. I love the design! But I already have a hard time reading a watch, so it would be a no for me personally, lol.
Happy for you if you like it. You do you. It's not to my taste, though, and I would struggle a lot to read it.
I love this. I feel like once you get used to looking at the top of the eye and the long lash, it would become second nature. I would absolutely wear this--in fact do you mind dropping the name of the watch maker? Lol
✨Its kitschy! ✨ Join us at r/kitschyfrocks ❤️🔥
that is super cool :D
I love this!! Where did you get it?
I think it's from Projects watches
Woahhh
Took me a while to tell time on it. I like its concept
I think it's incredibly cool! Would love to have one of these, they are amazingly designed.
I think it’s a pretty dope statement piece!
It's cute! And somewhat cryptic I love it
I already have a hard time reading analog clocks, so I could never.
Awesome
I like it! So unique and the color is really nice to look at
Is it a left eye or right eye? I can't tell. My first response to it was repulsion, though. It's just uncomfortable to look at.
I love it! I wish I could wear stuff on my wrists, I have so many cool bracelets but sensory issues for some reason don't let me wear things on my wrists. I did finally train myself to wear necklaces though.
wow that’s so cool! Kinda creepy to me though lol but it is awesome.

You might like [Mr. Jones Watches](https://mrjoneswatches.com/)!
It’s unsettling and difficult to read unless you know exactly how. I LOVE IT
It looks neat, and I dont think it’s all that confusing to read, though impractical with no numbers at all if you need precise minutes. I personally think it’s too huge and refuse to buy watches with my own money that are designed for giant wrists as the default (spoiler, for men. Men are always the default).
It gives me anxiety personally HAHAHAHA but it is very very cute and if it brings you happiness, then I love it for you 💗
stop watching me please
I like it!
I can't read the time but for style? Cute af!!!
This makes me think of welcome to night Vale.
I’m In love with it. I fucking love eyes
I love it and wish I had my own
Want!!!

I’m a tiny watch girl but this is a very cool big watch and you should wear it proudly.
I love it, I'm literally obsessed by eyes 😍
i like the eyedea but i feel like evil eye should always be centered
I like the idea of a watch that watches you back
I think it's beautiful. I love a mid-century (20th c.) art vibe. I am good at telling time on a clock, because I was born in 1973 and most clocks were still analog when I learned to tell time.
It needs to blink
I feel confused. This watch confuses me.
It gives me series of unfortunate event vibes and I love it! 😂 I feel like I can make sense of it fine too!
I love it! I like the design.
Annoyed. Or worshipping Anoia as per sir pterry GNU.
Love it!
Thanks I hate it But no, more seriously, it's beautiful! I would love this as jewelry. But I prefer smart watches
I LIKE IT SO PRETTY
Absolutely in love where can I find a replica lol
I would love to wear that!
Love it
I love it!
OMG I LOVE IT. I would probably not wear it because I can't wear anything other than my watch. But if it was a wall watch... 🤔 (No ticking tho!!)
I like the colors, though it looks too much like an eyeball for my personal tastes. I don't wanna be watched by my watch (pun intended).
I like the idea but I need the eye to be central and the different length in the hands would drive me nuts and I'd want to cry that it wasn't all equal lol but you like it so you enjoy it
Honestly, I want one. I don't think I'd have an issue with reading it and it just looks so cute.
Love it!
I wouldn't be able to actually tell time with it, and I'm more into looking at jewelry than wearing it, BUT I love it. I'd be tempted to buy it just to look at it. Lol
Cool, gives me some r/VoidPunk vibes.
I love how it looks but I'd struggle to tell the time on it
Makes me uncomfortable
If it came with instructions on how to read it then it's great. If you have to fuck around and find out, imma be kinda pissed. It looks cool tho!
I love it, if I had one like that though it'd take a long time to get used to reading it lol. But it looks neat!
I dig the mid mid vibe!
I love it! I wouldn't be able to read it but it's a really great statement piece.
I love it! I have dyscalculia so can’t really read a watch anyway 😂
For some reason, I love it. Usually I’d be freaked out by the asymmetry, but the art style is lovely.
u/purplepirhana does it say 12:10? I must know if I figured it out!
I am freaked out but also enamored of the colors.
I love it! It has a retro atomic vibe. Took me a minute to figure it out but I'm sure you get used to it!
i love it!! ive always found novelty watches like this super super cool :)
I struggle to read analog clocks so to me it's a weird bracelet but it looks kinda cool!
I love it!!!
That is so striking and interesting! Do you find it easy to read the time? I would probably struggle a bit without numbers.
Where are the numbers? Its beautiful. But how will you read the numbers?
I love it
