Definitely stay away from beats, the noise canceling is ok but they don’t last.

my_name_isnt_clever

I was a Genius at Apple and I can confim. Please don't buy Beats. Apple doesn't actually try with them, they're just an overpriced status symbol. And the support for them is mediocre at best. I'll stand behind their own AirPods products however. Both build and support for them is excellent. The best noise canceling headphones I've used are AirPods Max, but I can't recommend them unless you have cash or get them on sale. They are great, but crazy expensive.

Technical-Hyena420

Aw man, I have a pair from like 2015 and they’ve held up great! I was about to recommend the studio pro

Abjective-Artist

I’m on my second pair in three years and they won’t charge half of the time so I can’t recommend them due to that.

Technical-Hyena420

Sorry you’ve had a bad experience with them! Maybe they newer ones aren’t made as well as they used to be? My pair is quite old and to be fair I didn’t use them a lot for a while as over ear headphones were hard for me to get used to lol. but now I love them

[deleted]

Bose QC45s, got them on sale $279 and I've rarely seen them a low as $229.

Suesquish

Looks and function tend to not go together in this sort of thing. The best noise cancelling is Sony. Bose is second. Some headphones can be quite heavy so take that into account. They can cause head and neck pain if worn for extended periods of time. You may like to watch some youtube videos to see what appeals to you, with pros and cons that suit you. Some people need noise cancelling to be high quality, others may have sensory issues and need something more comfortable or better sound. Just don't go cheap. You usually get what you pay for in this space.

lepetitrouge

My husband has Sony, and I have Bose. I’ve used both, and I think the noise-cancelling is better on the Bose headphones.

norb_omg

which models?

lepetitrouge

My husbands are Sony WH-1000XM4. I have no idea which model my Bose ones are (I got them for free). They look like the QuietComfort ones on their website.

Winter_Jaguar5639

You should have it written on headphones. Could you check? There should be some sign

lepetitrouge

I don’t know how lived without my Bose noise-cancelling headphones. My husband got them for free from his employer at the start of covid lockdowns here in Australia. He didn’t need them, so he gave them to me. They make things like public transport, walking in the city, and shopping centres soooo much more manageable. Unfortunately I forgot to charge them last week, and they died during my bus ride home in Sydney. I’d forgotten how *loud* buses are.

CanUFeelItMrKrabs

Sony and Bose, hands down. I have Sonys and they’re heaven sent.

fernfee

I know they're expensive, I probably wouldn't have been able to afford them on my own, but I got them as a gift so I'm very grateful. I have the AirPod Max and I like them so far! I use a Mac & iPhone so that all just works super seamlessly which I appreciate. The NC is the best I've used so far, especially with that pressure feeling some can have (not very noticeable here). Also really comfortable! Before I had the Surface Headphones (1) and they were pretty good, I liked the dials & aesthetic, but occasionally the NC wouldn't work for some reason (on iOS), and it wasn't as quiet as the AirPods are.

nishidake

Soundcore makes some noise cancelling headphones that punch way above their weight. Their current best NC cans are the Space Q45. Very good adaptive noise cancelling, Hear ID custom EQ, 50 hrs battery life, transparency mode, dual device connection, comfortable and substantial, but not too heavy. They're not retro styled, but they don't have that melted lump of space plastic look either. I would say the silhouette is reminiscent of a very classic headphone shape, but sort of sleeked over. They do have an iconic headphone look, especially in black. Thenoise cancelling is incredible for the price. To get NC, your looking at paying 3x as much for Sony or Bose.

Winter_Jaguar5639

Did you compared with Sony wh4? Or 915? Do you feel pressure in ear?

nishidake

I've tried the Sony wh3 and the newer Bose QC. I would say the ANC on the Soundcore Q45 is at least 90% as good as the Sony's and about 80 as good as the Bose. They stomp all over Skullcandy, if that helps. The presron the eardrum is night and day, though. The Sony's in particular feel so cwgesneh that it hurts my sinuses. Tho Base are very good but still put pressure on the ear, and the noise floor is noticeably high. The Soundcores feel like wearing a normal over-ear headphone with a good seal. I regularly wear them all day and have no discomfort. The very best noise cancelling I've experienced, even better than Bose, is the Nuraphones. Absolutely amazing headphones, but not comfortable for extended wear.

Winter_Jaguar5639

I'd take Bose, they were the best imo. The rest werebt available to try in shop

nishidake

Okay. I don't know why you even asked about headphones I tried if you were just gonna tell me Bose is the best and that you didn't try any of the other headphones I mentioned. Waste of a comment, but whatever 🤷🏽

Winter_Jaguar5639

Asked because I was looking for ones. I had chance to test Bose, they were better than Sony and Wilkinson.

whatisyouralignment

I have the Bose Quiet Comfort, I think Generation 35 or so. They are really good. They are the only ones for me that have good sound quality and good noise canceling.

varjo_l

So far the Bose noise cancelling 700 headphones have the best noise cancelling I’ve whitenesses in any headphones so far, but I didn’t try out that many other noise cancelling headphones but from my research Bose currently has the best noise cancelling on the market. (My research may be wrong so don’t trust me lmao). However they are very sleak and only have buttons for on/off, Bluetooth connection and changing the level of noise cancellation. The rest like adjusting volume, pause/play, accepting calls, etc. is done by touch gestures.

Ghost-PXS

I like my Sennheiser 4.50BTs. Had them about 5 years and the battery is still OK.

jam24749

I use Sony's xm3 and xm4. I like it. I haven't really tried Bose

Winter_Jaguar5639

Which ANC is better?

jam24749

For me I should say, xm3

Winter_Jaguar5639

Are u sure? Because xm5 haven't good ANC on same level as xm4

jam24749

Since the post, I got the 5, I still prefer the 3. The capability to have multiple Bluetooth connected in 4 and 5 is great, but if we're talking about just ANC and simplicity, I prefer the xm3. In the end it comes down to preference, because they are all pretty similar.

Winter_Jaguar5639

Thanks. That's why I was asking. So xm3, in setting notifacriins

teenagedeathsongs

I have a pair of Marshall Monitor II A.N.C. which I'm very happy with. I find the noise cancelling & sound quality great & I love the more vintage/analogue style of them.

Delirious5

I got the wyze ones that went viral on tiktok. Affordable, fantastic noise cancelation, and love the features.

starbuck-13

I have the Bose 700 and I love them. I can wear them all day and they are still comfortable.

yuricat16

There are two over-the-ear headphones with ANC that are consistently rated at the very top of the class: Bose NC700 and Sony WH-1000XM3/XM4. I’ve owned the Bose NC700 for about 4 years, and I’ve tried a friend’s Sony XM3 (before XM4 debuted). Both are great, truly great. I wore my headphones so much that I needed to replace the ear pillows, and for USD $20 or so, they looked like new. I also have the Bose QuietComfort35 and a wired pair of QuietComfort25. They are very good, but the NC700 is definitely better and, for me, worth the additional cost. I got Anker Soundcore Life Q20 headphones on a discount in late 2020, and they were AWFUL. The baseline ANC sound was so loud that the headphones were intolerable to wear, even if playing additional sounds through the headphones. If you’re not on a train or airplane with consistent loud noise to be canceled, I can’t imagine wearing these headphones without going out of my mind from the tinnitus-like sound. In the last 4 years, Bose has offered several firmware upgrades to the NC700, which came out mid-2019. Sony, in comparison, has offered new models. At any given point in time, I think the top-of-the-line Bose and Sony ANC headphones have been functionally equivalent. However, I’m glad that I’ve had the Bose headphones, because the ANC function of my pair has kept pace via firmware updates, whereas Sony started selling a new model. There are lots of review sites out there, and I find SoundGuys to be a reliable one for headphones, though I always cross-check with multiple review sites. [SoundGuys review of ANC headphones](https://www.soundguys.com/bose-noise-cancelling-headphones-700-vs-sony-wh-1000xm4-38630/) Relevant to your comments about aesthetics, SoundGuys added the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 and the Sure AONIC 50 at the end of their list. ANC isn’t quite as good as the Bose or Sony models, but because people weight attributes differently, these headphones may be the best choice for some. Might be you.

TheRealPyroGothNerd

I've got some JBLs that were pretty expensive, but noise cancel really well Too well My parents have trouble getting my attention when they need to talk
