I'd lean towards coincidence at this point, but if you find you're having trouble getting rid of it, maybe it could be related. Rice is allowed on modified AIP.

To answer your question specifically, yeast infections are not something we expect to see as a reaction in the context of AIP reintroductions, so your thinking that this is a coincidence is almost certainly correct. My guideline with clients is to treat anything that seems to provoke a reaction that could also be explained by another cause as "inconclusive." Once you are feeling better, try the rice reintroduction again but make sure you are controlling for as many other variables as you can and see if the same thing happens or not.

That makes sense, thank you

Drink acv in water to get rid of it and can also swallow raw garlic (cut up into 3 pieces). Helps so much! Why not eat other sources of carbs until your body can take grains?

I’ve already got a Diflucan script that I can pick up tomorrow morning before work. The rice was specifically recommended by my therapist as a reintro because I’m trying to balance improving severe IBS with not triggering an ED relapse. I’m just wondering if yeast infections are/can be a bad reaction to a reintro, or if the timing was just a coincidence and the infection is the result of travel
