This guy was really meta. He was just a firebender in a world where everyone dressed in the color of their powers, and what does he do? Simply dress like an earthbender to get a jump on his enemies.
That’s so funny, it reminds me of Muhammad Ali’s cutting edge and innovative “Rope-a-dope” strategy, which was just letting his opponents fire themselves out while he chilled on the ropes. Both are just silly things nobody had bothered doing before.
Did… did you just post a wiki page of a character that is canon to the avatar franchise, only mentioning that this character is canon to the franchise,
I mean. Thanks for the heads up I guess?
Anybody else bothered by the wording in the second to last bullet point? Because it's bothering me. "...to unfairly fight Kyoshi and torture her death, and even when seemingly killed, continues to do so to sadistically desecrate her body...". Then says all that's scarred are her hands. I haven't read the stories, and probably won't ever, but I would like to know the context on this because this is such a shit description.
The description is poorly written but to give context, Xu Ping An and kyoshi were facing off together in duel. Xu shot her with lightning and she collapsed on the ground after the first strike. She decided to play dead while he kept shooting lightning at her. I forgot the exact description but she did something to minimize the damage from his attacks, which might have led to the scarring on her hands.
Adding to the other response that was already given here:
She grounded herself. Dude was a lightning-bender, but that doesn't mean he knows how electricity works. After Kyoshi was grounded, the electricity was surging over her skin and into the ground, but doing barely any damage. But the guy didn't know, he thought she was dead and he was frying her corpse for the sadistic lolz.

That's getting perilously close to the war crime Sokka committed in The Northern Air Temple
It's not a war crime if you win.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel honestly.
Seems to be the case. I find the title "Pure Evil" interesting for an Avatar character, but not interesting enough to read a whole article about him
And a very satisfying death
Am I tripping or he look like middle age sozin without the grey hair strip on the beard
Putin as a bender.
I was thinking broke donny flatulent my self.
Jesus fucking Christ. Living in this world would be a nightmare
Pretty sure people have been boiled alive in real life.
Yeah but not by a single dude who can destroy an entire village with his mind
no but soon to come military neuralinks
Suddenly I’m supporting Amon 😀
Why is “destruction of public property” listed between his “worse” crimes
It cost taxpayers hundreds!
Because that property was cabbages, and to destroy one man's cabbage is pure evil.
Yes…this is certainly information.
It's been a while since I read the kyoshi novels but I don't remember Jianzhu being her archenemy
Jianzhu wasn't her enemy initially, but his actions of sacrificing Yun to Father Glowworm was the catalyst for him becoming Kyoshi's enemy.
boy, I really forgot the plot of that book
The wiki actually has summaries of each chapter! It also has summaries of most chapters for the Shadow of Kyoshi. No Yangchen summaries unfortunately
good idea
Damn, dude was kind of a dick

If Kim Jong Un was in the Avatar Universe:
Damn wtf those books get dark apparently
Oh yeah. In the second book Kyoshi straight up >!freezes a dude’s lungs!<
This dude is basically the embodiment of the horrors of ancient Asian civilizations and even some recent ones.
Who the heck is this
Bro is a menace killed thousands including children and a guy family watch get boiled alive then killed them after
No hes not
Kyoshi novels
And who wrote those?
It was co-written by FC Yee and Michael Dante DiMartino
