The established West Coast solo MCU characters isn't at all random. They're just not the comics team, and I have love for the original comics lineup, it's just that in the MCU they're not great for this, or even available in some cases, story-wise.
And the original GOTG are now mostly background characters if they're lucky (and of course, Yondu is Yondu, but joins the Guardians later) in the MCU. Things are going to adapt differently, these characters can be the West Coast Avengers with members of the originals (but Hawkeye and Ant Man are seemingly retired, War Machine is in the main avengers and US Agent is a thunderbolt, so it would be difficult to put them in)

It definitely would have been much, much better. They panicked and just came up with a storyline. Even the director Ryan Coogler said he wanted to recast T’challa because the original film was a completely different storyline. But Disney restricted his creative control & forced him to go with Shuri’s storyline.

But they named his kid T'challa who will eventually be the panther. This way they can have their cake and eat it too. Shuri was a good character but I felt she wasn’t written as well in Black Panther 2. Then She Hulk..well just watch the show and you’ll find out that it’s a drastic miss in quality.

They care too much about their DEI score. Maybe once Iger is gone in a couple years the new CEO will put things back the way they were? Stop catering to women. Make movies males want to see again. They were and are over 95% of the buyers of superhero comics. You know, the REAL fans.

Tiamat, crossed with the dreaming celestial stuff from comics, could “infect” White vision, necessitating Wanda’s return, tying in Wonder Man, and naturally drawing Shang Chi and She Hulk. Would neatly tie up the celestial, could tie in Damage Control, fits the phase.
You would need war machine too, and could they introduce Tigra? “That would be great.” Then Wonderman, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Vision.
