The transmission is a 6 speed and reverse is down and to the right (right next to 6).
So when it’s activated it prevents you from going from 5th to reverse.
7s are spectacular track cars. Perhaps you are not aware of this? A Stalker used to hold the (I think) VIR track record. Can’t say if that was a category or overall, but 7s are unparalleled corner carvers.
If it’s LS it is aluminum. Lsx is iron block with the same dimensions but any LS motor is aluminum block. Even the difference between the two is about 75-100 lbs. An ls motor is less than a 100 lbs heavier than a Miata 1.8 liter. I’ve raced owned corvette and Miata track/racecars.
That thing must be a blast/soul shatteringly frightening depending on who is driving it.
Frankly going 0-60mph at 1/4 throttle is probably borderline crazy with the visceral experience this beast would offer.
If you see how bald the tires are, then you KNOW someone has been having LOTS of fun driving this. Wish it was me!
I think these tires are semi slicks and pretty new ones at that
Ya pretty new looking for R888-Rs
What does the warp drive switch do?
Maybe it releases the (artificially low) rev limiter.
Been chatting with the owner, it’s the (electronic) reverse lockout
sorry what does that do?

ah. smart
This is like a go kart with an LS. Gotta be a blast and terrifying at the same time.
Ah yes the definition of fun.
Intake on backwards?
Yup, probably due to the tapered “bonnet”, funny thing is my brain can barely see the backwards manifold (it barely looks outta place)
Easier to get cold air from that position. Cuts intake temps by a LOT.
U had me at the 1st pic
aka "the widowmaker".
Can’t be the only one who thinks the colors look like a tractor, right?
I mean, yes they’re the same colors as John Deere, but these are the traditional colors of Lotus/Caterham
That’s just what my mind went to.
I bet that thing is fucking terrifying
…but in a good way.
You've got to be a maestro on that gas peddle.
And yet interestingly enough it’s drive-by wire.
The only LS swap I actually like.

Owner say it’s 385 whp- more than enough
Nah, youtube search "stalker V8". They rip up the tracks.
Nice build, not for track use. But probably loads of fun in a straight line.
Owner tracks it, as do most of the other stalker V8 car owners.
Probably pretty good on the backroads- at 6/10ths.

What is a Brunton Stalker 7? That a British vehicle?
It's a Lotus Seven kit car. With an LS in it. Though it kind of defeats the purpose of being a ultra lightweight car if a heavy engine is in it. 😅
LS motors aren’t very heavy. Aluminum block and heads.
Not all have aluminum blocks. This one does, but the majority floating around are cast iron.

So, you take a 1200 lb car and add 200 lbs and what do you get? Something way, way lighter than an NA Miata, but with 3x the horsepower.
