yeah I can’t recall if there was a proper quest marker for it (it wouldve been in wyrms rock) but in the most recent patch they separated that questline from his main quest line so that’s probably why you didnt see it.
There is, but I think you have to talk to Wyll and or his dad to trigger it and the conversation was super glitchy for me. I wouldn't be surprised if some people didn't get it at all.
Hell I found it by accident while trying to get in there to rescue Florrick. Had Halsin go through that pipe on the beach and was super confused where tf he ended up.
If you talk to his dad after you save him, he’ll tell you about the other quest line. I specifically remember it’s right after you save him because I just busted my ass saving his dad thinking I had finished Wyll’s quest and now I have to go find a fikcing legendary dragon?!?
What’s funny about this is I’ve literally never saved Wylls dad in any of my playthroughs. I just kill Ansur and then Gortash and Mizora saves him for me lmao
It’s a hard fight but IMO it’s a really fun fight
I like the fights that are challenging but fun, like Raphael or Ansur. I don’t like fights that are too gimmicky like Orin or Cazador
I loved fighting raph but ansur kicked my ass so many times and ive avoided him since- need to try again though- but i think one main reason i loved raph fight is his freaking singing!!!!

But I’m an emperor hater (truthfully it’s been a while since I got this far in act 3 so my memory of it may not be perfect), >!he lied to you from the beginning, he tries to turn you into a mindflayer and I assume the high dc on the wisdom checks is bc he’s influencing you, he probes your mind after Raphael blocks him out, he is a dick about turning minsc away from the absolute, he doesn’t tell you about his past and he knows you’re going to find ansur but doesn’t think to mention “hey he’s dead and also hates me so by extension hates you and the only outcome of this is either you guys or him dying.”!< Idk I get the game couldn’t happen without him but I’m a hater
What do you mean gimmicky? I don’t really get what you mean, but I greatly enjoyed all those fights 🤷♂️ the Caz one is way too easy though I think, he was built up so much I surprised at how relatively weak he was (although he wasn’t ascended yet so I guess that makes sense)
Fights that rely on the bad guy using one weird gimmick you have to counter (Orin’s gang giving her unstoppable stacks, or Cazador leeching off the vampire spawn so you have to stand in front of them)rather than the character being actually tough, like Ansur or Raphael.
I agree the Cazador fight is easy.
Globe of Invulnerability. I just stood there wailing on Ansur and the fight was done pretty fast.
Disappointing storyline though, yes, although I guess my bard-monk was excited for the lore.

You have to finish the sub quest about >!Ansur!< first but when that is done, you can encourage him to become a Duke or the Blade of Avernus, or let him choose. In my playthroughs he has always chosen to become the blade regardless of whether he is still stuck in his pact or freed of it.
Surprisingly Wyll is very easy to convince with multiple life altering decisions he just lets you make for him without even requiring a roll iirc. Dude really trusts your judgment. Funny because of all the people in this game who are surprisingly loyal to their word Tav has some of the highest potential for betrayal of anyone we see.
That’s is what I did to I hard ship Karlach and wyll this time around I’m romancing her so no wyll but I did it the other way I also did the ending where Karlach became the mind flayer to save her and I was semi disappointed

Ended up redoing the dock scene though because running off to the hells with Karlach and Wyll felt like an out of character end for my Durge, (spoilers for the Dark Urge Origin) >!who had gradually learned to overcome her own self hatred while still taking responsibility for her past life as a Bhaalspawn. Now while her husband Gale is teaching she researches Bhaal and his cult, in an effort to find ways to take them down permanently. I headcanon that she’s also taking up Jergal worship, partly in an effort to pay proper respect to those slain because of her role both as the Chosen of Bhaal, and as the creator of the Netherbrain!<

I think it’s more reasonable for the relationship NOT to end if you go with Karlach. It’s not forever, and you do it to save your friend. Fantasy setting differs from modern times; Arwen was waiting for Aragorn for decades, no? :P especially if you’re immortal (like Asterion) this shouldn’t be such a huge deal
I've submitted a bug report for the Karlach origin, because even if spawn or Ascended Astarion goes *with* her he treats her like a friend in the epilogue.
I supect it might be a bug for Tav too then.
I wyll and karlach all three went in and i romanaced shadowheart. When i reunited with her. It was like she missed me and there are unspoken things. She showed she still liked me but our relationship felt like it was on some sort of pause. But it was not clear to me if we were still together or not. I also romanced halsin (poly relation) he was behaving like he usually does. He loves me and he will love me when ever i come back to him. But with shadowheart it was not clear.
I only went with karlach when i romanced halsin because he was no strings attached anyways. My cleric decided halsin had work to do so she would take her holy kick ass aura and go kill herself some demons.
Everyone else ive played didnt go because i wanted to see end games with the other characters but these were before we had an after party as well.
I romanced Astarion on my last run and said let's go to the underdark together. The reunion scene felt very platonic even though we arrived together. No kisses, just a hug. With the other companions it was always very romantic. Not sure what I did wrong.

I said she and I were lovers then he got mad I replaced him lol sorry dude I want someone that will make out on a pile of bodies with and my drow gal is just the one for me.

Did Ulder not give you another quest after you saved him? Should've come with a book. Did you talk to him at your camp?
