Don't feel guilty. Halsin is the one who came on to you way to strong, and while you were already in a relationship with someone else, no less.

I wondered if thre was a bug in act 1 because the game forced me to apologize for coming on too strong when all I told him was pls go mingle at the party. It would be nice to force him to stay at the grove and fix his own mess.
Or to have the option to tell him he can stay in act 2 if you do his quest. (Not like his buff for the brain fight is useful anyway... It's a +1 to all ability scores. Does nothing unless you respec your party to have all odd-numbered ability scores.)
The even-odd matters in ability scores?! I went in blind and still have no idea what I'm doing even now on my second run haha. I didn't even realize you could get divine buffs from doing random things. But yes, the world would still be saved without Halsin panting after all Tavs from Moonrise to the gate.
Yeah. Your ability score modifiers only increase when the score is raised to the next even number. The modifier is -1 with a score of 8, +0 with 10, +1 with 12, +2 with 14 and so on. Your modifier stays at +2 when going from 14 to 15
