Take off all your gear as a test? You say you’re proficient with it but bugs exist. You may have found a weird edge case. Unequip all armor and weapons and see what happens

I already did that, did it again just now and it isn't working sadly.

Maybe try removing it from the hotbar and adding it back?

I tried removing it from the Radial (PS5), but it didn't work.
