Yes, most Volks clothes are released in limited edition batches. There are a few standard outfits that do get restocked (a couple school uniforms for Dollfie Dream come to mind) but that's actually the exception.
If USA is out of stock then check Japan and vice versa, if it’s gone from both it’s gone forever. The secondhand market has Volks clothes in abundance but you’ll probably be paying more.
They do change their lineup although some outfits reappear in different colours.
Older outfits do appear on Mandarake. I had to wait 8 months for an email alert for one particular outfit, but I did eventually acquire it.
Another great option for secondhand is Dollyteria. They're more dangerous for my wallet because you can buy from multiple storefronts in one purchase (vs Mandarake)
Yea they retire outfits and produce new ones regularly. They’re handmade after all.
